Foreign AffairsAmerica Vs Pakistan...what Is America Really After? by deeplow(op): 3:12pm On Sep 28, 2012
Just one in 50 victims of America’s deadly drone strikes in Pakistan are terrorists – while the rest are innocent civilians, a new report claimed today.

The authoritative joint study, by Stanford and New York Universities, concludes that men, women and children are being terrorised by the operations ’24 hours-a-day’.
And the authors lay much of the blame on the use of the ‘double-tap’ strike where a drone fires one missile – and then a second asrescuers try to drag victims from the rubble. One aid agency said they had a six-hour delay before going to the scene.

The tactic has cast such a shadow of fear over strike zones that people often wait for hours before daring to visit the scene of an attack. Investigators also discovered that communities living in fear of the drones were suffering severe stress and related illnesses. Many parents had taken their children out of school because they were so afraid of a missile-strike.

VOICES FROM THE DRONE ZONE
Sadaullah Khan, a 15-year-old who lost both legs in a drone strike, says that before his injury, 'I used to go to school…I thought I would become a doctor. After the drone strikes, I stopped going to school.'

Noor Behram, a journalist: ' Once there has been a drone strike, people have gone in for rescue missions, and five or ten minutes after the drone attack, they attack the rescuers who are there.'

Taxi driver: 'Whether we are driving a car, or we are workingon a farm, or we are sitting at home playing cards – no matter what we are doing we are always thinking the drone will strike us. So we are scared to do anything, no matter what.'

Safdar Dawar, President of the Tribal Union of Journalists: 'If I am walking in the market, I have this fear that maybe the personwalking next to me is going to be a target of the drone. If I’m shopping, I’m really careful and scared. If I’m standing on the road and there is a car parked next to me, I never know if that isgoing to be the target. Maybe they will target the car in front of me or behind me. Even in mosques, if we’re praying, we’re worried that maybe one person who is standing with us praying is wanted. So, wherever we are, we have this fear of drones.'

Resident from the Manzar Khel area: 'Now (they have) even targeted funerals…they have targeted people sitting together, so people are scared of everything'

brokoto: voice training (vɔɪs ˈtreɪnɪŋ) or voice production
Definitions
noun

(physiology) the process of training and improving vocal ability
have you seen that its a continous process? as in present continous tense?
I don't like people backing up their arguments with things like this.u define voice training as the process of train"ing" and improv"ing" vocal ability.so,because something is in present continuous tense, that makes it a lifelong thing.

Since definition is ur thing...

proc·ess, pro·cess - /ˈpräˌses/, /prəˈses/
Noun:
A series of actions or steps taken to achieve an end.

My argument in the first place,is that, a singer trains their voice to perfection just once.that it takes some other people a long time, means they are naturally not gifted.you claimed a singer must "train" their voice everyday.I asked if the professional singers do that everyday,u still haven't given me a reasonable response.

Music/RadioRe: Singing And Rapping Which One Is More Difficult by deeplow: 11:36pm On Sep 08, 2012
brokoto: i'm actually an opera singer so let me tell you this. voice training is not a one off thing. its a continous thing for as long as you want to remain relevant in the opera world. i'm not talking about pre-performance voice flexing. i'm talking about 30 mins of voice work everyday, 5 days in a week(what i do oh, imagine what the most established ones do). this does not include the many other elements too numerous to mention here. see eh, if you really know what being a vocalist is all about, dont train your voice for 3 days and attempt to sing any meaningful piece, you'd be ashamed of yourself.
I think the problem now is understanding the difference between "training" and "rehearsal/practice".bros,wat u do is practice,u are not training ur voice.are u tryna tell me d celine dions, mariah careys of this world train their voices everyday?
Music/RadioRe: Singing And Rapping Which One Is More Difficult by deeplow: 10:45pm On Sep 08, 2012
brokoto: guy, i didnt mean that as an insult ok? i try to refrain from that here. the thing is that you really have no idea the hard work REAL vocalists/singers put in to make their voice sound like that. pls type this in youtube:WHAT MAKES A GREAT TENOR. nuff said!
I really have no ideahuhwow.no matter what u have to say in ur defense,d fact still remains that,a singer only trains their voice once.the rest is mere formality.that's what u haven't clearly countered.
Music/RadioRe: Singing And Rapping Which One Is More Difficult by deeplow: 9:21pm On Sep 08, 2012
@brokoto---i quite agree with you that I dnt know about music.could you please explain how "the bolded" is incorrect?are u telling me people like mariah Carey,r.kelly,John legend, emeli sande, celine Dion.e.t.c still go for voice training?btw,if u are going to come up with the normal pre-performance sound check that they do,pls come up with something else.
Music/RadioRe: Singing And Rapping Which One Is More Difficult by deeplow: 7:27pm On Sep 08, 2012
talking fingers: That's a rather long list of ONE thing singers can talk about in their songs, not forgetting the 'e.t.c' part. You really had me there. Lol!
Ur username is talking fingers,I see where the problem is.
Song=singular.in the context which I used it,it meant a song
Songs=plural=many.I dnt know where in my post u found songs o. The joke is on u Brah.
Music/RadioRe: Singing And Rapping Which One Is More Difficult by deeplow: 7:04pm On Sep 08, 2012
Both depend on how talented an artiste is.in my opinion, rapping is harder.once a singer goes through the normal process of voice training, dats all,no more training.a rapper on the other hand, sleeps, eats, drinks rap everyday.a singer can only talk about one thing in a song(love,heartbreak,sex,hate,disappointment.e.t.c).a (real)rapper can talk about several things in a song,a perfect example is "I know I can- Nas).

I wouldn't be too sure if ur post is directly aimed at me or some other people.in my defense,,,
1)I don't live my life on nairaland.
2)I just woke to see the thread.
3)I had to carefully analyze his brain.
4)I had to come to a conclusion
5)I came to a conclusion, right about the time he left for church.
Figure the rest out.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by deeplow: 8:06am On Aug 26, 2012
@malawian: you are an idioot. You keep saying you want to bash an ethnic group, yet all you can show for it is a picture of a man bowing to another.you seem attracted to a particular part of a man.if you are so penis-hungry"or jealous of tinubu(were ur stupid claims right), why not climb a mast in your neighborhood, wait till people try to rescue you and give them the only condition that will make you not jump off and die.tell them to get u in a room with buhari"alone" and they should allow u 5minutes on his peniss.you sex-starved homosexual.I won't bash igbos.I served with at least 6 igbos in the same school.they bowed and even prostrated when they saw teachers who are older than them.would that be adjudged to be them trying to suck on a man's penis?I wouldn't have responded to your stupidity, buh I noticed you are having so much fun in it.grow up(in your brain),not just age..it shows how unexposed you are, despite ur claim of literacy. If you have better ways to yorubas, bring it up.the whole,he is trying to suck on him, lost its appeal after the first page..

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Robin Van-Persie Is Off To Manchester United by deeplow: 6:51am On Aug 16, 2012
Van persie doesn't have a justifiable reason for leaving arsenal. He wanted good players, the coach bought 3 established players in giroud, carzola and podolski.there are arteta, song, chamberlain and wilshere.that is ambitious Enough,I believe.he just wants retirement money,as Man u is not guaranteed winning any trophy this season.I don't blame him ânyways, wenger is a stingy bastard.how on earth would a player like van persie earn 90k?unbelievable.best of luck to him.

Many Christians on here, are Confused and unrepentant hypocrites. Must he attend a funeral? How many of u "grinding machines",if in that situation and office, would attend? He at least sent someone to represent him. I am sure if the deceased were yoruba, we wouldn't have had this much noise. Too much ethnicity and religious hatred goes on here. I expect that education would have made a few changes to the way some of us think, apparently, I was wrong. Grow and start thinking with ur heads under your feet.
