Foreign Affairs / Re: UK Parliament Approves Rwanda Deportation Bill by DeepSight(m): 9:00am On Apr 23 |
uuzba: And I will stomp the Nigerian flag onto their soil and shout - "I do so hereby claim this land, and hereby name it . . . . New-Ojuelegba!" After all that was how they would stomp their flag onto lands they just arrived in and shout the same thing. 2 Likes |

Botragelad: Somehow or the other (and I dont know why) this post of yours comes across as sort of school-prefect-ish, talking down at the OP, or voltron-ish, defending the U.K. There are reasons why the bill was controversial even in the U.K; and you should not pretend not to know them. Primarily, there is a scent of snobbery in the entire idea of off-loading would be illegal immigrants onto a small third world country, no matter how nicely packaged the idea is. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
Business / Re: FCCPC Shuts Chinese Supermarket Over Discrimination In Abuja by DeepSight(m): 7:15am On Apr 23 |
mrkia: This has nothing to do with the politicians in power. It's a regulatory function and would proceed likewise under any Government. Indeed the FCCPC has been acting in this manner since inception. |

CrownedPhoenix: There are many outfits in Nigeria owned by foreigners which are a front for illegal businesses such as narcotics or even firearms. Don't play with Lebanese business men in this regard. |

2023Blessed: Wow. Well good for you, but I really would not recommend it for all. Uni is about more than just the books and exams. |

essentialone: For me, all of these special cases still do not render it advisable to put a minor in a university. A university is more than just a school for the books alone. Its actually a school for life and the social interactions there are just as important. A minor is therefore ill suited for a university in my humble view. Even if he is ten times Einstein. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Dialpad: A University is not a place for minors in my humble opinion. A person who finishes secondary school at 15 can still do quite a lot. Advanced Levels. Language Classes. Music, Sports, the Arts. Become a rounded adult and go into Uni at 18. I agree with the policy. |

wirinet: Most of those countries came together in a natural organic way, be it through assimilation, immigration or even conquest, it was still natural and more importantly spanned over long periods of time to enable true integration. Nigeria by contrast is a motley pot of some 350 tribes forced together suddenly by imperialism. |
Business / Re: Abuja Chinese Supermarket Shuts Doors by DeepSight(m): 4:56pm On Apr 22 |
wirinet: It's not a one way street, both groups are almost equally hostile to one another. Between Igbos and Yorubas honestly I am sick of it. Especially on this forum. On this forum you can literally say, "Oh, today the USA launched a rocket heading to Mars" and you will have ten responses which will somehow contrive to bring Igbo vs Yoruba supremacy into the conversation. 1 Like |

nairalanda1: It is a pity, but in addition to all of those things, none of which I withdraw, you are also a coward. You probably don't want to admit the root of your defense of all things government, and this is why you avoid this question. I on the other hand, have nothing to hide. |

Focusmind: I get you. Nonetheless, largest is largest. It is not best, most advanced, most sophisticated, most techy, no. Largest simply means biggest. And as far as that goes, go and find out why MTN, a South African company present in 22 countries, has about one third of its market in one country - Nigeria. |
