Kushites: OK, fair enough if you don't support Obi, but none of those guys you mentioned is better than Tinubu in managing an economy.
Sowore for starters is a Ford Foundation asset. They fund his Sahara Reporters outfit. He's a foreign stooge and puppet. Dude gives me serious CIA asset vibes. I don't like him.
Atiku knows nothing about building an economy.
Amaechi couldn't even complete, or see to the completion of a small light rail project in Port Harcourt.
Tinubu is smarter and more experienced as a technocrat than all those guys.
If he has dealings with Chagoury, I don't necessarily like it, but it's not enough to get rid of him. Ehen. This is the calmer you. Now we can reason together. First of all let me set a few things straight in his favour so you will know I am not full of irrational hatred. One, he has paid his dues. Big time. Right from NADECO days to being patient with gradually finding the right time for him. He has built MANY men. The South West political world is full of them. And he was very strategic in his politics. He is bold and he can fight for what he believes in..He fought Obasanjo to a standstill. Look, far from having any issues with Tinubu tribe-wise, I am a Lagos boy to the core and the only person I have voted for president for in my life was Gani Fawehinmi. But it amazes me how you can say that Sowore gives you CIA vibes. Almost everyone knows that BAT is a CIA asset. When the question was put to them they replied saying they don't expose their assets.. You make sweeping claims about the other contenders. How do you know Atiku can't manage an economy? The rail in PH is not something you can use against Amaechi. Because here in Lagos it took successive govts to get rail right and some went off plan like Ambode who paid it no attention. Sowore however, to be frank, needs to start from a lower rung. Now let me share with you what I wrote this morning to another poster on the subsidy and naira float issues - ------ .....Now let me give you some cold hard facts. Don't take my word for it, research them.
1. The total removal of fuel subsidy in one day was a first of its kind in the world. Everywhere else where this has been done, its been done gradually. Here, for the first time anywhere, the price of fuel jumped 200% in a single day from under 200 Naira to over 600 Naira. That was too much a shock for the economy and especially for the vulnerable. It had a ripple effect on prices of every commodity and thus the result was a jump in prices at a hectic pace never seen before.
2. Just three to four weeks after this, the naira was floated. The result was another jump from about N700 to the dollar to almost N2000 AT A POINT, even though it fell to generally around 1500-1600. In case you dont understand, in an import dependent economy, this simply meant further rises in the prices of almost everything by over hundred percent.
By the time you add the effects of the two above, the multiplier effect was dizzying. Even if you believe that these steps were necessary (which I dont) at least you will agree that the timing and implementation were terrible. At the barest minimum after the subsidy removal, the floatation of the naira should have been delayed.
Note that electricity subsidies were also partially removed.
And further down the line, the price of petrol was increased again from just over 600 to circa 1000. Cruelly, this was in the immediate aftermath of the EndBadGovernance protests. I dont think it has ever happened elsewhere that prices were jacked up after a nationwide protest protesting high prices.
All of these were shocks, and they have resulted in suffering of an unimaginable kind for the poor and vulnerable masses. So please do not simply say in an insensitive way "inflation didnt start with Tinubu.".------ Let's start with these. We will come to Chagoury. Also what do you have to say of his appointment of Atiku Bagudu as Minister of Budget and Planning. I hope you know his story. He was Abacha's bag man who kept Abacha's loot and he had to refund a lot of it. This is what I mean by open corruption (along with Chagoury another BUSINESS ASSOCIATE of Abacha). Cc: Image123 |

Kushites: Mr Man, Peter Obi your mentor called fuel subsidies a scam, and promised to end them "ON DAY 1".
Should I post the link?
Naira flotation?
You must have been among those making money from Arbitrage!
Have you any idea how many companies and investors fled this country because of that chaotic dual exchange rate system?
I remember VIVIDLY you and your ilk screaming during Buhari's era about how companies were fleeing Nigeria.
DO YOU KNOW THAT THE REVERSE IS THE CASE TODAY?
This country is now an investment MAGNET.
Meanwhile the fallout from these reforms are ending, the country has turned net exporter of refined petroleum products instead of net importer, and ALL Tinubu says is "Give us Time.".
IF THAT WAS PETER OBI YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND AND LISTEN.
As for your "open corruption", Cry Me A River.
What corruption was worse or more OPEN than the PDP era of grotesquely blatant corruption of which Peter Obi was a major part?
Today we see politicians and ex governors being arrested by EFCC.
Unlike your PDP era of free for all looting, with Diezanu and her diamond bra with luxury yachts shared with Jay Z and Beyoncé!! Why do you assume Peter Obi is my mentor. This alone shows you are the tribalist here, not me. Otherwise you would not assume. How do you know I don't favour Atiku? Or Amaechi? Or Sowore? Answer that first. And if you can get out of that and show that you are not a tribalist then maybe we can have a rational discussion on your defenses of BAT. I noticed you have nothing to say on corruption. Because if there was Diezani then, there is Chagoury now. An international criminal who BAT does business with and gives corrupt contracts to. We will get back to that. |

Kushites: Your lack of objectivity and impartiality.
Everything that goes wrong is automatically Tinubu's fault in your head. Nope. You lack reason. Also i challenge you to quote one post where i have wrongly blamed Tinubu. I dont go about blaming him randomly. My complaints against him are clear and simple - 1. The manner and method of fuel subsidy removal 2. The manner and timing of naira floatation 3. Open Corruption 4. The tyranny of manipulation of other arms of government 5. Brazen illegalities such as the state of emergency in Rivers State |
Politics › Re: Pictures & Videos From APC Presidential Primaries Across The Country by DeepSight(m): 1:38pm On May 24 |
Image123: Yes, many would vote him as we can see from the primaries. Campaign would also do a big deal. Realistically, no new southerner is getting heavy votes in the North. One, because of eight years, two, because of religion. Tinubu's tactics has not changed much. He's only tightened loose ends. He's banking on cumulative spread, the others are banking on huge wins in their region/particular state. That's probably where the governors and defected senators come in. To reduce the margin. They'd pull better numbers for whatever reason, and would not turn a blind eye this time. The muslim muslim buzz that aided Obi cross country is also out of the way. As you can see, insecurity is not stopping votes. As for economy, Nigerians are incredibly forgiving/forgetful people, and again, campaign vibes will water it down. He doesn't really need to 'force' himself from my projections. He also knows what he can do if he somehow miraculously needs to. In my analysis, only God can stop his victory. Of course, i want him to win(just to add, and pepper you ) Well, káshìmawò. |

EponObi: Lol... You lots said the same during Buhari's time. Inflation didn't start with Tinubu. Please take a calm deep breath and open your mind, please be objective. Inflation is not new in the world, thats for sure, but the radical inflation inflicted on this country by this present government is unique. You would be insensitive not to admit that. Or it would be either you are so wealthy that you dont feel it or you are taken care of by someone else so money and prices are meaningless to you. But even if either were the case, you would still recognize the devastating impact on the common man in the last three years if you have any humanity and sense of empathy. Now let me give you some cold hard facts. Don't take my word for it, research them. 1. The total removal of fuel subsidy in one day was a first of its kind in the world. Have you gone to the North to feel the sentiment? Or didn't we see them in numbers up north to cast votes for him in this primary?
He even said he won't get it all in the SW. What a joke.

Image123: Many you said. Let me agree with you if it helps. Do you know that these "arrangee" can be repeated in multiple fold on election day? Bro, election is by numbers not emotions and excuses. When someone has more numbers than you, he wins. That's election. All the excuses of arrangee or organic like your people prefer putting it, don't count. Obi has organic support, Tinubu has arrangee support, these arguments are not recognized by BVAS, iREV, INEC or any democracy around the globe. It's like some years ago when i watched a bit of football, Mourinho was winning and the losers were complaining that his teams were not playing beautiful football or something. It's been a similar line of arguments with anti-Tinubu analysis. BTW, all the parties do these same things. We see them in paid and sponsored protests. Someone who was very close to Obi confirmed few weeks ago how she sent 100k to 'mobilize' 50 people. All these things APC is accused of also happens in the opposition. Did you hear of the violence that took place in Abuja yesterday in ADC. If it was in APC, it'll be big news for you guys to mock and laugh. When same happens at your end, you'll either turn a blind eye or find a way to blame Tinubu or APC. That's irresponsible. Part of why i can't support such as a replacement for what's on ground. . Well written. But honestly do you think many people will naturally vote for BAT? The North is disillusioned with him. They feel marginalised despite their huge support for electing him. He has been very clannish in his appointments limiting the most key ones to his base like PMB did. Forget South East. Neither governors nor city boys can convince them. South South, maybe fifty fifty. Only maybe. South West will also be split. He wouldn't get it all. If anyone tested the pulse of Nigerians, the majority don't want him. But most likely he will force himself on us. |

There are many students outside of the country who access materials hosted at Iranian universities. They have not been able. Iran has been threatening to cut off undersea cables passing through the straits . These are international cables that serve all middle east, some going to the far east and others to Africa. You need to be flogged with that whip Jesus used to clear traders from the Temple. Reality is that a nation facing two nuclear powers vastly better placed economically than itself will have no choice but to deploy very unconventional and out of the box tactics to withstand them and it's hard to begrudge Iran that in the circumstances. |
