seunmsg: You have no understanding of how to govern and manage the economy. What we need right now is a reform minded pragmatic leader and not a people pandering populist. Without Tinubu, Nigeria’s economy would have collapsed. Now that we have steadied the economy to an extent, we won’t rush back to dishing out unsustainable freebies like you all are asking for.
We need to sustain the gains and build the foundation for great wealth and shared prosperity and not fritter away the result. So, we need consolidation for the next four years. That’s what Tinubu will do from 2027-2031. We don’t want another Senegal happening here. Thanks. You are just an ethnic supremacist. The man who has destroyed the economy has saved it in your tribalistic view. Of course. |

Jman06: Keep consoling yourselves while wiser girls are getting married on weekly basis! It is the "wokeness" of some women of this generation that will be their eventual karma!
I'm in my mid to late 30s while my girl is 19. She's already pregnant for me and in a few weeks, we'll finalise our marriage. Some of you tend to forget that immediately a girl goes through pregnancy and bears a child, her body automatically changes and matures overnight. This is one reason many married men keep side chicks and cheat on their wives! Immediately the girl bears a child, she ages and becomes unattractive.
Many of us who understand how the female body works prefer to marry far younger girls so that even after childbirth, she'll not become too unattractive but can still be managed to some few years before she eventually turns into agbaya like most women do.
Some of you like to believe falsehoods just to feel good about yourselves forgetting that reality remains what it is. And you are not ashamed? Late thirties impregnating a teenager and you are blabbing? Shame on you boy. |

So now he can claim he has maximum conto over party affairs just like Tinubu had over AC and now APC.
But the irony is that it's at the cost of the party itself. So it's a classic case of a phyrric victory for him because his hands are so being forced and he's presiding over a shadow of what the party was yet he's been able to chase away so his would be challengers and take the nameplate PDP for himself And what would the shell be when he is ready to use it for himself? Nothing. Because I doubt he will ever be properly integrated into APC. They are too wise to bring in the bull to the china shop. |

anonimi: Claim is more representative than expect, in this context.
If our efforts are not on reducing our tribalistic tendencies to zone and rotate offices for sharing the national cake of corruption, but rather on how racism prevents us from having FULL benefits of human rights and social justice evolution in oyinbo societies, then how can our underdevelopment issues naturally even themselves out with time? I dont agree that zoning is representative of tribalism. It is an autochthonous mechanism developed to balance out power in a complex and multi-faceted society in order to ensure that no part of the country is over-dominated by another part. If Rwanda had had such a system they would likely not have experienced their bloody genocide. I also think its extreme to attribute our state of development to a zoning principle which is relatively recent in our system and is not even codified in our laws. Why did you not wait for time to naturally even out the racial outburst of your European MD in the SA company, instead of escalating it and WORKING through procedures for redress, which led to his dismissal? I didn't say it was an SA company, I only mentioned that that sort of thinking was prevalent in apartheid SA. It was a European Multinational operating in Nigeria. I take some exception to the bold. Because this kind of framing suggests that the mere fact that one can theorize about the long term results of current realities means that one does not believe in practical actions everyday in every issue. I dont know how people keep attributing this to me simply because I try to analyze with a wide lens and long term view both from the past and into the future, the trajectory of a race. For example, just because of exactly the same analysis, I am told that on account of people like me, Africa will not develop! |

As I imagine you understand, such one off reprisals won’t change the fact that we Africans have made ourselves the lowest of the low in the world due to our unevolved tribalistic mindset of using zoning and rotation to share the national cake of corruption in local, state and federal governments in the legislative and executive branches.
The irony of it all is our entitlement mindset to the fruits of a better society built by oyinbos’ evolved human rights culture. Something that we don’t try with Asians, who are yet to evolve as much in human rights and social justice system.
https://www.nairaland.com/post/93103247 My view is that the development issues most of Africa is passing through are quite to be expected given the myriad factors I have oft pointed out and will naturally even themselves out with time. But if I hear what you are saying here correctly, am I right to say that you are saying that we expect human rights which are alien to us from white people, while not expecting same from Asians who also dont have the "evolved human rights culture" of the West? How will my mindset contribute to the underdevelopment of Nigeria. I really get tired of they way you continuously try to make out that the mere fact that one studies the many factors involved in a human development problem with a wide lens automatically means that one is lazy and takes no responsibility OR ADVOCATES that people should be lazy, corrupt and take no responsibility. That's just BS. This kind of sharp practice happens every were in the world. It is even recorded in the bible as those who use false weights and measurements, and it says the Lord despises them. When you see such anywhere else in the world, will you go to a Professor of Anthropology or Sociology in that same country and say he is the cause since he studies and presents factors of human development over history? Meanwhile, is it not hypocrisy for tribalistic Nigerians to talk about racist whites? Do whites use zoning and rotation of public office to justify sharing the national cake of corruption at local, state and federal levels
https://www.nairaland.com/post/129895546
Are whites as racist to Asians as they are to blacks? If they are less racist to them, does it have to do with Asian countries ranking being much higher than that of African countries
https://www.nairaland.com/post/93103247 In apartheid South Africa, Indians ranked above blacks. In a company I once worked in, the European MD said in a management meeting that Europeans should be top level staff, Asians middle level and Nigerians bottom level. But the unwritten rule is that it's South's turn. The North knows this, Kwankwaso knows this, that's why he was ready to drop his ego to back Obi so when it's North's turn, Obi will support him.
So the next person who wins next election will surely come from the South and right now, it's either Tinubu wins or Obi wins. The North knows power moves back to them in 2031, so wether we like it or not, if Obi can't defeat Tinubu, Tinubu will win and continue ruling. I see your logic. |

basilico: Trump explained exactly what happened with Obama and IRAN:
"This should have been done by Obama. He went the other way. He was giving him cash. He sent plane loads of Boeing 757, took the seats out and put green, green cash, 1.7 billion in the plane. Every bank in Virginia, DC, and Maryland was stripped of their cash. They took out all the cash on the banks!"
"They put it into a plane. A Boeing 757 packed with cash. And they flew it to Iran and they let these guys just, I don't know what the hell they did with it, but they took it and then gave them billions and billions of dollars and bribed them basically to be friends."
"And after giving them tens of billions of dollars, they screwed Obama, okay? That's not the way we play. No, we do it the old-fashioned way."
Obama is a traitor. And Trump, who breaks the law by collecting gifts from foreign governments is not a traitor? Do you know that's Treason? Don't worry, lets just see what kind of deal if any, Trump ends up with, with Iran. |

Beorn: The truth is that opposition parties haven't gotten their acts together and it's a darn shame. By now, they'd have dropped their egos or greed and unite under a singular consensus southern candidate but one of the reason such will never happen is because of Atiku's generational greed and insane quest for power.
At this point, I'd rather Tinubu continues his disastrous reign than for Atiku to smell that seat because he's greedy and selfish.
This is a man that has been pursuing power and participating in presidential primaries when most of these current politicians were just staring off.
A man whose greed and bad timing has destroyed his chances of being the president of this country.
A man who wanted to dispose his boss just to be the president.
A man who lacks patience or the political sagacity to get his dream true.
A man who destroyed PDP during Jonathan era when he formed the nPDP and joined APC to ruin his party simply because he thought he'd clinch APC presidential candidate ticket. When that failed, what did he do? He ran back to PDP he used and dumped and bribe his way to win the presidential candidate ticket despite his betrayal.
A man that Obi deputized for when it was North's turn to rule but when it was South's turn, the same greedy f*o*o*l refused to allow South enjoy their time, instead destroying PDP with this power tussle with Wike.
Now he's formed ADC with the greedy and cunning motive of getting Obi to join him after he had perfected a way to clinch the party presidential ticket since, so Obi will have no choice but to deputize for him again so he can run on Obi's new found fame and political goodwill, to win the election because Obi and the rest of the politicians were raised to help him fulfill his greedy ambition.
If at his age, Atiku does not know that nothing short of a united opposition will unseat Bola, where he'd step back and back a southern candidate, he is a disappointment. He cannot learn from the last election, that means he is unteachable by anyone, including the universe. Well written. I agree with almost everything you have said except that its better for Bola to continue. Bola almost murdered the country with heartless wicked hardship in the last three years when he may still have needed the opinion of the masses. What do you think he will do when he no longer needs even an iota or semblance of it? To thy tents oh Israel, will it be! |

Let me wait for your response and see how big minded and full of wisdom and strategic thinking Atiku is. Hmmmm. I have to agree Atiku has not done well at all. Indeed, if he had been wise enough not to be competing with his boss Obasanjo, he probably would have succeeded him. But the foolishness of never being able to wait - having no sense of delayed gratification - absolutely messed him up over the years. Sadly, this is the very thing that the despicable BAT has excelled at - pin point perfect strategic patience and timing. If at his age, Obi does not know that nothing short of a united opposition will unseat Bola, he is a disappointment.
