Some people just do not have common sense - asking what the difference is between kidnapped and missing. Duh  The Police has done the right thing here. Until the so called abductors make contact with the family and demand for ransom, it is not a certified kidnap case. Common sense is not so common afterall! I was shocked to see even CNN report the case as an "abduction". Anything could have happened to him, really |

^^ U are clearly biased @Post: Whether the beggar was Boko Haramic or not, it is clear that he was up to something. How else do you explain N13,000 credit on his phone? In these hard times His "mission" was clearly being "funded". I also wonder why he was begging for alms from people. What's the connection to bombing churches? The biggest churches in any city are never hard to identify. If they want to bomb a church, they will simply locate it and do so. Pretending to be a beggar first makes no logical sense. P.S: I don't think Boko Haram is dumb enough to bomb a "large" church. In Ibadan of all places. |

Amaechi's problem is the fact that he's trying to carry everybody along by giving them jobs to do. Unfortunately, these Rivers indigenes are their own worst enemies. They benefit from contracts and end up producing sub-standard results! This is a trend which has been noticed by the Governor and he is currently trying to change that. Yes, Portharcourt is still an eyesore but as with everything good, it'll take some time to change that. And every1 keeps forgetting - the terrain found in areas like Rivers is different from those in other parts of Nigeria and as a result, costs more money. You can't take away the marvelous job he has done with education. He has built structures that will last for many years to come. In these structures, he incorporated sports. Most of these schools have basketball courts, football pitches, running tracks, table tennis courts etc etc I am impressed with the attention he has given to sports for the youths. Rather than hang around, smoke igbo and be involved in cult activities, young boys have been provided with a constructive way to spend their free time. In addition to this, there was a massive training for all teachers across the state. Not only did he recognise the need for good structures, he also recognised the need for quality education And personally, my road (links Agip to Eagle Island) which was in a horrible state before has now been upgraded so much that you'd think you're in a plane when passing thru Rotimi Amaechi is an "hayngel" when compared with Odilli. Nobody can take that away from him! |
