Career / Re: Airtel Agrees To Recall 3,000 Sacked Workers by DeepSoul(f): 12:36pm On Oct 12, 2011 |
Akainzo: Intercontinental, UBA and Oceanic bank sacked their staff because they were no longer financially capable to keep paying them. A company has a right to downsize if it has financial difficulties. AIRTEL had a profit of $17bn!!! And not only did they intend to sack 3,000 Nigerians, they were planning to REPLACE THEM WITH INDIANS (who supposedly earn $200 per month!) How does an ADULT survive with $200 in ABUJA?? HOW?? |

sehill09: If he could say the above to another woman, then he really doesn't place any value on you or his marriage to you. Richvkunt: Worship your man cos he is your god while he goes out and brings diseases home? I wish I had appropriate words for you. Politics / Re: BBC News Special On Nigeria's Impact On The Rest Of Africa by DeepSoul(f): 1:04pm On Oct 10, 2011 |
RSA: And here you are with 1,770 posts on a Nigerian site. At this rate, you'll run out of saliva, spitting at every comment made by a Nigerian. And guess what happens after that? Instant death! How can you not like Nigerians simply because "they steal your women and your jobs"! When you get some swagger and get smart, that will stop happening. The spirit of survival is inherent in us. No other African country comes close. We do not have handouts given to us by our government. Yet we find a way to survive. Hate us or love us, u can't ignore us |
Car Talk / Re: Why Do Most Nigerians Use Exotic Cars Yet Live In Poor Or Rented Houses? by DeepSoul(f): 12:48pm On Oct 10, 2011 |
I see no reason why a person would drive a N5m car and live in a RENTED house with no plans on ground to own his or her own property. It's not about not minding my business. It's my opinion that they are purely being foolish. Except, of course, u live in Abuja where a plot of land costs N100m 1 Like |
Politics / Re: N1.6 Million Is Spent Daily On Presidential Food? by DeepSoul(f): 12:42pm On Oct 10, 2011 |
I know that the Nigerian Govt is a thieving one but that isn't any justification for believing EVERY story we hear! This story sounds exaggerated to me |
Family / Re: A Lazy Husband by DeepSoul(f): 1:14pm On Sep 26, 2011 |
^^ Whether or not this one is true, it happens everyday. I have a family friend in d SAME situation. They have bn married 14 years now. She just got used to it and works hard enough to provide d basics - shelter, food and education for their kids. The man sits at home doing nothing. This has gone on for 14 years. And d annoying part - the guy na glutton! Can eat for an army! |

Politics / Re: Suicide Bombers Are Influenced by Drugs by DeepSoul(f): 12:47pm On Sep 26, 2011 |
gidiMonsta: Did the Norway bomber kill people based on xtianity? Did Jesus tell him to kill "infidels" and unbelievers? Did Jesus promise him 77 virgins? gidiMonsta: "Both religions were spread by violence". Is that any justification for violence? I'm not even gonna bother arguing the above with you. But let's assume it's true, how many centuries ago was this? Why not face the issues at hand as it presently concerns us? gidiMonsta: Islam encourages its followers to "kill infidels". When did killing a human being become a peaceful act? Yes, there are misguided lots amongst muslims. If u went thru this pot carefully, you'd notice suggestions being given to the supposedly "real muslims". Refer to Koruji's reply. gidiMonsta: There you go again trying to justify terrorism. And yet you claim to be amongst those criticizing the |

Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslims Banned From Praying Outdoors In France by DeepSoul(f): 2:41pm On Sep 19, 2011 |
Good news! Same should be done in Abuja! It's infuriating to see muslims praying on major roads, rendering passage impossible! And the roads where they don't pray on, they park their cars right in the middle! It's appalling! If they need space, they should build bigger mosques, shikena! |

Politics / Re: Boko Haram: Suicide Bombers Were Paid N10m Each by DeepSoul(f): 1:07pm On Sep 06, 2011 |
This shows that Boko Haram has some serious sponsors. This is most definitely a political issue and methinks it goes beyond Nigerian politics. For someone to have invested N30m already ontop 3 suicide bombers, he must have some expectation. ROI. I can't stop wondering what that might possibly be. But wait oh, these days 10million isn't that much. In an expensive place like Abuja, all that money can do for u is rent you a really nice house for ONE year and that's it! And rumour has it that they have 97 suicide bombers waiting on standby which translates to N970m left to spend. EFFC and CBN had better buckle up! |

Celebrities / Re: Mercy Johnson's Church Wedding Photos by DeepSoul(f): 10:07am On Aug 29, 2011 |
Methinks her gown is ok! Her bridesmaids look good as well but the "blonde" ones look a bit tacky with all that yellow hair! No comments on the groom! My major worry is why CHRIST EMBASSY OFFICIATED THE WEDDING. Never have been a Christ Embassy fan, it only just got worse! |

Education / Re: Imo To Give Free Education To Northern Muslims’ Children by DeepSoul(f): 11:48am On Aug 23, 2011 |
How sustainable is this free education programme? What'll happen when Rochas leaves power? Will his predecessor continue or scrap it as is the norm. We all know how Nigerian leaders lack continuity. Again I ask, how sustainable is it? |
