I bought somethings online. I used my UBA Mastercard to pay. After calculation UBA conversion rate was 267Naira to a Dollar.I also used Gtbank. GT Conversion rate was 225Naira for a DollarUba is bad bank. Beware. Even black market is 242
sorry to digress from stock market gist. What should the rate be when you use POS abroad or shop online when you use your naira cards with these banks? Shouldn't it be at bank rates.

I think our banks are stealing from their customers charging us BDC and black market rates

BusinessRe: How Much Did You Exchange The Dollar For Today? by deept(m): 5:34pm On May 09, 2015
sholatech:
The easiest way is to buy from black market. But if your transfer purpose meets those within CBN stipulation and you have bank required documents(e.g admission letter for school fees payment, L/C for imports etc) then you can meet your banker to attempt getting USD at bank rate
the best way is to buy from the black market, fund your domiciliary account and withdraw if you must take the cash with you. They will advice you to use your naira MasterCard abroad to trade or withdraw from an ATM abroad. Getting to buy from the bank can be a very long thing.

Nonsense

Flight cancellations and delays are a reoccuring incidence globally

How does this concern govt?
But not for silly reasons like the plane is on ground, no crew, the plane has been on ground, no fuel etc and there are not one off cases, they occur frequently.

If you are not in a hurry or jobless, fly arik

FranklinRich:
I remember reading somewhere some time last year that shale oil will become uneconomical at around $60 pb and that shale oil producers will be forced to shut in production around this price levels, thus reducing supply and causing crude oil prices to rebound. I personally never believed that and as it turns out, that was false. This supply glut doesn't look like it's going to end soon at least for this first quarter so I would not be surprised if we hit the $30 range in a couple of weeks/months.
maybe uneconomical to drill, unless they have broken even with the cost of drilling all those shale wells, producers might just be forced to shut in production and wait for prices to go back up. Read in one oil and gas news about two companies in the US (not majors) who have suspended drilling because of prices. Its drilling that keeps production going, soon all those already drilled wells go start to dey tire, supply reduces, prices go up, etc. thats my own take/analysis on the oil situation.
