Your comment has proved you don't use the service,if you do you would be aware that th last four digit is what is required and not your ATM pin,you need to make yoiur research and not the OP. olayinkajnr: In as much as the op is right, he is wrong about the last 4 digits on the ATM card. The pin required to complete any transfer using the 737 code is your ATM card pin, which I believe those thieves won't have guessed right if the victim didn't tell them when threatened. I also make use of the 737 service to transfer and perform other transactions and I've never been asked to input any last 4 digit of ATM card. Only your ATM pin will be requested.. Op, Pls next time, make your findings well before u conclude. |

You think a criminal will be so gullible to transfer the said money to his personal account? Such money will be transfered using a third party account and possibly the third party won't knw much abt the criminal.so bvn catches the wrong person. coolbreeze44: The advantage is more than the disadvantage. The introduction of the BVN makes so much sense when theft such as that mentioned by the OP is perpetuated. It will take less than 10mins to get to know the criminals that did that. I am sure the GTB management would have done a proper survey and brainstorming before embarking on the *737# concepts. |

Is it not this same cbn gov and em former oga share all our dollar for election, now we are the one facing the heat.it is well. obailala: Its okay. The fact is that if we have a full understanding of the current situation of things, we would understand it has nothing to do with buhari. A man who earns 100k and finds it hard to feed his 5 children, imagine what will happen when his salary is cut to 30k? I'm sure you would agree with me that such a man would hoard the little he has to ensure the house doesnt run out of food (every other need would be termed 'luxury' and would be made to wait).
Now there is a major scarcity of forex in the country ocassioned by the fall in oil prices. The cbn is simply hoarding the few dollars it has to ensure we would have just sufficient to meet what it terms 'essential commodities' such as petrol, food and raw materials. Buhari is not trying to force anyone not to go to school abroad, it is the economic situation of the time that has led to this and the cbn thinks that food is more important than foreign school fees. Can you imagine the humanitarian crisis that would bedevil the nation if forex reserves run down to zero?... no fuel, no food. |

We are not against them increasing tariff but let them install prepaid meters first dats all. blazetitov: That would be the end result. No sensible businessman will continue to run a business that cannot even cover the attributable variable cost. Gas doesn't come cheap, it is costly not to mention the equipment and transmission lines. God have mercy on the country. |

You really made sense,we have been sharing light in my area for a very long time .dey do one day on and one day off.when you are on you hardly get 6hrs light and at the end of the month we get 8-12thousand bill from ikeja disco.May God help us. Inspectahdeck: "Somebody is playing politics with electricity". I think this is the most stupid and sentimental seeking statement in 2016.
How can you buy or startup a business expecting to finance with customer's money? I blame the privatisation process of PHCN, it took awhile before they settled the FG.
For almost 2yrs, they charged 750 Naira as fixed charge per month (either you use their product or not). please multiply 750 by 1m people= 750,000,000..... and the greedy people are hoping for a 45% increase in tariff to operate.
What about estimated bills? What they do is the company zones a particular amount to an area or district and expect the marketers to distribute charges randomly to their customers. That is why a lot of people receive outrageous bills and they are reluctant to share meter to customers.
My advise to them, go to banks and seek loans with a plan on how to service and repay same. Like I always tell Ikeja electricity staffs, "do not forget you are a private company and can be sued. No light equal no finance and Government might revoke ownership".
For a week and half no light in my area. please share your experience in your area |
