I don't think it's as a result of a vaginal infection. What i suspect is that you were circumcised (genitally mutilated) while young. You are not the only one, about 70% of Nigerian ladies ages 20yrs and above currently alive today are circumcised.

Circumcision is usually practiced on females to lower or kill their sexual appetite completely so that they won't be wayward thus keep their virginity for their husbands.
But unfortunately the disadvantages outweigh the advantages and one of them is what you are experiencing. Difficulty during child labor and VVF are other disadvantages.

Thank God the federal government is trying to put an end to the practice now.
You can read more on the topic but i don't think anyone should still be ignorant on the topic of female circumcision in Nigeria today.

Didn't want to comment on this thread before, but I think I have to make something clear here.

Op, the fact is that Nigerian women, in short African women do not and cannot enjoy sex. because majority of them have been genitally mutilated (circumcision is a subtle word for it) in Nigeria today i believe about 70% of women ages 20yrs and above currently alive today are mutilated. Hence they are nothing but a log of wood in the bedroom.

Well, incase you don't know how important that question is, it's one of the reasons for infidelity among Nigerian men. Since the wife as been turned in to a log of wood in the bedroom as a result of the mutilation. (hence she lacks interest in the act and doesn't show any emotion)

How can a man make a circumcised (genitaly mutilated) woman reach orgasm? because from the theoretical research that I made, I was made to understand that it's practically impossible. I read this story in the Sunday Tribune newspaper some years ago, it still baffles me uptil today and i felt I should share it. I'm wondering if i should post this in the religion section but I want a wider audience.

There was this brother dating this sister (brother, sister asin a Christian relationship) during the dating period, the sister insisted that there must be no sex or any form of intimacy until after marriage the brother being a devout Christian knew it was right and decided to wait. After the wedding, on the night of their honeymoon the brother wanted to do the deed as newly married husband and wife but the sister refused she complained that she was fasting. So the brother left her.
After several days, the sister was still not yielding he asked her if she was still fasting, but she was not ready to cooperate.
According to the narration of the brother, he said when he couldn't take it anymore, he had to force her and that was several weeks after their marriage. after the first encounter, anytime he wanted to have sex with her, it was always a struggle. He said it got so bad that one day she threatened to stab him with a knife that his incessant demand for sex was a sin to her moral life. He said he had to subdue her and ran out of the house that day to avoid being stabbed to death. Since then he has not returned.
Now what he is asking is advice on what to do, because as a Christian, the Bible is against divorce.
Advice please, what's your take on this issue?
