Our Nigerian doctors are too talented to be working in a bad healthcare system here. If the government doesn't do something fast, Nigeria will and should continue to experience brain drain. They deserve good remuneration. And if they don't get it here, they must get it somewhere else.

You better don't let any motivational speaker deceive you! Money answers all things, even the Bible confirms that. It's far better to have money than not to. If someone doesn't know how to use money, then that's the person's problem.

do you have a problem with comprehension? i never said they are suffering like poor or when does living a disorganized life and living above one’s means equate to being poor ? when a man earns N1 million a month and because he knows he can earn that every month forever - he may incur liabilities on himself, like taking care of extended family members - paying for so much stuff because he makes that much - he may not be living a better life than a man who makes N300k a month and knows how to cut his coat according to his cloth. so u still think much money means happiness ? why do millionaires in the western work les commit suicide if money was all it takes not to be miserable? talking about credit card late payments i mentioned, they may have the money to pay or expecting to get the money to pay for it and yet because they are living a disorganized life they pay late and all that happens everyday - i have medics doctors and nurses as friends and family and i don’t just come here to rant - i have seen this for years and i pity most of them - i have had 2 naija medical doctors who actually quit being doctors here to love to naija - one is an ibo man and the other from auchi in edo state - some naija ladies quit nursing after a while to open beauty supply shops and all that - money is not everything- family time, personal time, leisure and a gist of things makes a person fulfilled in life not just currency digits -

In fact I'm surprised that 100% of Nigerian trained doctors have not migrated out of the country.

And the funniest part is that a Nigerian professor will not make what a doctor starts to earn in 2 years in UK, which pays doctors 3 times less than in USA. Yes, you read that right, 3 times less than in USA. The lowest paid doctor in usa makes 6 million naira per month.
I will ask again, why shouldn't they leave??

some of the most miserable people i know in America are medical doctors and nurses -all that money they earn seems to be invisible- they are arrogant- leave above their means - can’t keep a matrimonial home because they are always cheating with colleagues at work, , so disorganized and they think the world revolves around them …… and i dare u to take a ride with any doctor or nurse in their own car - very untidy - wether white, african americans or naija - same pig like behavior to hygiene

i don’t know value of making money without having an organized life and good hygiene - that is rubbish - because they live above their means , they factor overtime wages as their real wages so if they don’t work that overtime - they can’t pay for the bills they got themselves into — and that cones at a cost as there is almost zero family time hence the cheat at the job especially the night doctors and nurses


lastly - medical doctors are not in forbes list because their profession kills their hunger to better themselves business wise so they settle for that $100k to $140k a year job which taxes, mortgage and living above their means will swallow up every penny of it - some doctors i know are behind on credit card payment in America here - not that they dont have the money or can’t raise the money but they are paying for too baby unnecessary things that the leave most part of their lives unattended to - the students loans - hmmm some owe up to $400k in students loans - so the grass is not always greener on the other side

i tell u a restaurant manager with a high school or 2 years associates degree at mcdonald’s who makes $70,000 a year lives a happier and more fulfilled life than a so called medical doctor or nurse who is almost never home and lives a disorganized life

The lowest paid doctor in usa earn 202,000 dollars per year.
This means that even if you make 2.5 million naira PER MONTH as a professor of medicine, you won't be making half of that amount. ( You can do the math).

Are you kidding me ? Isn't it better to live in the United States where there are a large number of Nigerians like Maryland and Texas than to rot in this land??
