You make sense too. I know how sone naija babes could be rude and haughty at times. But the way they handled her is too rude and why do they think they can just walk up to a woman and start wooing her? They did not show respect to that uniform at all. They should learn to control their temper and not use their office to take advantage of, abuse or victimise civilians. They could have taken that phone, delete the contents and give it back to her. FYI, I Have never had a patient complained about how badly I cared for him/her, in fact they are always finding ways to stay in touch with me afterwards. I know few patients and their relatives who are studying nursing right now cos of their encounter with me. I also know many nurses that are like and even better than myself. The new generational nurses are having sleepless nights because of the bad public image of nursing in Nigeria, Nursing World Nigeria readily comes to mind.

Please, don't be in a haste to generalize on an issue next time, bad generalization is an issue we have been battling in nursing (especially in Nigeria).
Of course, many are speaking from series of bad personal experiences. Nevertheless, there is an ongoing in-house cleansing to give y'all the very best in the nearest future. Renew your faith in us, Nursing shall get it right someday.

My mom was reacting to a Med a stupid idiotic doctor (whom if I curse I would say he should die as horribly as my Mom did) administered on her by in Ph(this doc was just busy chasing skirts up and down the hospital. He would leave a Ward round half way if he sees a pretty woman walk pass) . The stupid nurses on duty told my sister that the allergic reaction was a small price to pay for my Mon to get well. They sat there till the woman died. I hope the cleanup story is true.

Nurses need better trainers too. Our Mostly demonic nurses need Angels to fall from heaven and train them though. They should include Mercy training and love coaching and Religious studies to the training they give Nigerian Nurses.

90% of naija Govt hospital nurses are wicked and evil. They act as if death is no biggie. Can you imagine a set of nurses refusing to attend an old woman because she had painful sores and couldn't turn well in bed for the nurse to give her injection. Nurse became angry and yelled at the old woman and her son said to the nurse... Aunty take it easy Na, you can see she is an old woman if it was you this kind of thing happen to, you will feel the same way too. This pain is not easy for an old woman. Na so nurse go gather all her fellow nurses and they accused the boy of cursing their friend. Could you believe they refused to treat that old woman for 4days? Yes, they abandoned her there until someone threatened to go to the police. Many Govt nurses are evil.

For real bro, when I was serving in ado ekiti, I lived with an elderly man who brought a young bride some time later,the girl got pregnant and was having morning sickness, this man would lock her out for not fetching water from the neighbouring yard in Jerry cans(note that this man is a taxi driver and as such could put these empty Jerry cans in his car and get water for he and his wife to use) he refused her to register for antenatal in any hospital even though the state hospital is afgordable and was just a stone throw away from our compound. One day I saw her sitting outside, looking sad and it was getting dark. I said why are you outside? She said baba locked the door and so she has to wait for him to return. I said when did he do that? She said he woke her up in the morning to go out when he was about to leave, because he was angry at her over some minor issue(she told me but I have forgotten it was something as simple as she did not greet him quickly enough or so) she was hungry. I gave her money to buy food and eat cost she was pregnant and locked out since morning. Would you believe this girl instead of buying food bought food stuff and was waiting g for this man to come so she could cook food for both of them? That he would be mad at her if he knows she bought food when he did not give her the money. I had to hussle clothes for her to wear as she had no maternity wears. The man was just plain wicked. She said if she returned home, her family would send her back and then the man would become even more angry at her. So she had to stay in the marriage. I was a fellow tenant but wouldn't have known that such was going on if I did not meet her outside that day. When ever I see her outside, I just think she was taking fresh air. Little did I know she was being locked out mostly. See? If police had asked me, I would have said I did not notice anything abusive about baba the driver.

I did speak out a lot of times, my mom was helping many abused women while she was alive. One got HIV from her hubby, one was beaten till she got blind, one was disgraced and kicked out naked by her husband and even one young one ran to the police when her hubby was beating her cos he left #50 for her and their daughter for 1 week feeding after he told her she could not work cos he doesn't want her to be exposed to men in any work environment. When she asked him for feeding money he said he did not have, out of anger she said but you have to carry women(which he does) he pounced on her for daring to questions him she ran to the police station that night they sent her home, told them to settle be it amicably and refused to take down her statement. They said she should beg him,n that his face does not resemble someone who would beat a woman (never knew they can see it in ones face) She went back hone and when the beating became an everyday affair, she left. Now she has a good job, caring for their kids and he is begging her to cone back home that every marriage has it's ups and Downs. I tell her say Na she sabi of she return back.
So yes, I have seen enough to not expose anyone (man/woman) to an abusive partner. Believe me if Man cries by out that his wife is abusing him, I would listen too.

Well then, tell him if things don't change, you may be forced to leave the marriage, cost you believe marriage is to be enjoyed in love and harmony and not endured. Make sure you let his family know what is going by on o. Because tomorrow now, they will stand with ness and say their son was not like you are portraying him to be. Instead of reporting him to your dad, call his mom and dad and ask them to please help you talk to him and inform your parents of the steps you are taking.
If after his family speak with him he still doesn't change then you decide what is beat for you. If you can sit there and endure as many naija men expect their women to do, then so be it.. . If you decide it's best to give him time to change while you focus on work and kids, then so be it. If you decide that it is just a passing phase and he would change then so be it. But what ever you do, don't act like a desperate woman, don't insult him or his family, don't push him to become aggressive and don't hit or hurt him. Marriage is not by force, if you can't endure leave, forget all what you sacrificed in the union same for him too. If it starts taking a violent dimension abeg RUN

All in all, since this is the first time it is happening, I would say he prolly is going through some shitty situation and it would serve you best if you let him n know that you are there for him but you are not going to be his emotional toy at this point in time. When he needs a shoulder to cry, be there when he starts kicking and throwing tantrums walkout and go do some chore or hobby. I hope and pray things return to normal soon

Call him and have a heart to heart talk with him. Donyvstart out in an abusive or defensive way. Just sit him down no begging like a trapped robber. Just calmly and clearly in a dignified way tell him you do not find this his attitude appealing for a married couple. He has to stop and change his ways. If he doesn't change, leave that marriage(do not think that having a child would change him, it would be only worsen your case). Since you married a toy boy, try to tell him step by step detail of all you are doing, if you want shit.... let him know, if you mess.....let him know, if you are going to Call someone, let him know before you even do those things.
Because if you guys don't work on it, one day you may insult him as usual and he slaps you and walks out and then cones to the press to say you called your BF in front of him.
