Tear gas does not just affect only those it is aimed at. If you live or are taking refuge anywhere close to where teargas is fired, you will be affected too. So, she doesn't have to be among protesters to be a victim. Bullets, teargas can also miss target and hit innocent people who lock their doors and windows.

It is quite unfortunate that when there is unrest, some people may pay the ultimate price. May her family find comfort.

This Sunday is my most challenging one so far, as much as I appreciate all your replies, I am yet to make up my mind about what to do, but I was willing to give £30,000 to my Church, but not these week.

For 1, I feel really gutted. The title of our sermon today is "Serving with all your resources".

From the moment I heard the title, I switched off my mind from the service and I had no interest in whatever was going on in the church again, I felt like I am being pushed to do what I may be willing to do already. That's not the end of it of course.

The pastor announced that I will be made an Deaconess today and asked the church to pray for me for the enabling spirit. But I thought this is a kind of things that should have been discussed with me prior to the time I was called out to be prayed for.

Deep down within me, I felt like, he is trying to do anything possible to make sure I didn't leave the Church, I am more confused than ever. Look at it this way, I am only 24years old, so tell me. Am I to believe this is still the leading of the spirit?

I am seriously confused.

Eh, as for your pastor, I will just ask you to take your mind off the whole wahala. Put your mind on positive things. Now a days, I let a lot of things slide when I remember that it is the grace of God that opened my eyes to see the mistakes in my past and to re organise my life. I have cone to realize, that many people are not yet awake to their shortcomings yet... this gives me the strength to forgive and forget and keep my anger or frustrations in check as I look at people who do some things with mercy and more understanding.
Your pastor is behaving like any regular human. When you accept this fact, you will feel mercy when he acts the way he acts and you will be prepared to stand your grounds with love and understanding as he makes decisions concerning you.
I was thinking, what is your stand on tithes? If you believe in it, go ahead and do so. For your sake. Cos it is between you, your God and your faith.

Why don't people pray to know Gods will and seek family opinion even before they start dating? That simple act would have resolved or given time to resolve this issue.

I think both, committed to a relationship and still being receptive to new dates. Once in a relationship there shouldn't be room for new entries and proposals from any interest. Except in cases where the relationship is undefined and directionless.

If we ain't talking exclusive or marriage, then why request for faithful? JUST like a boy in uni expects to keep a girl in secondary school all to himself and she wants him all to herself even though they are not ready for marriage in ten years(To me they are not ready for the faithfulness talk, they should just be good friends, hang out together, and flow with life , show each other that they are special and let life happen) People who are not ready for marriage or settling down in a committed union be common law marriage, should not get into any serious relationship or talk of romance. They should just date and enjoy the company of the oposite sex without being committed to anybody or entangled in romance with them. When they are mature and are ready to go exclusive, then they should make it known and settle down with each other. If one is still cheating even in that scenario then the person will not change in marriage.

That girl had an infected bartholin's cyst. The doctor was wrong. He didn't need your presence unless the patient requested for that, which I kn she didn't from your write up. What the doctor did was called incision and drainage and possibly marsupialization. All he needed was to get consent from the patient which I kn he did. The point at which he needed a chaperone was when he was doing a vaginal examination. That chaperone wouldn't be another male. Unless requested by the patient. Recently I wanted to do breast examination for a patient who complained of breast lump. I picked up the intercom to call a nurse to come chaperone the examination. The young female patient refused and insisted I must do the examination alone. At that point, I declined to do at all even with a chaperone.

A patient does. She has privacy from outsiders. Only medical staff and an approved person with the consent of the patient is allowed to witness some things. Please learn your rights if not you will be used and abused by doctors. that woman has a right to her privacy.The doctor should always come with a female staff and should seek the patient's consent before allowing a non medical personnel to witness procedures

After reading the news about a Doctor At Sayemi Natural science Centre who was accused of Rape, I have come to get the answer to a question I have been asking myself for years about the conduct of a doctor I had encounter with.

It was during my early days in the university , I accompanied a female course mate to the hospital. She was just a friend and nothing more . She was one of the finest in the faculty then. That morning she called me on phone and told me she was feeling feverish, and wants to go to the hospital to see a doctor. Trying to be a good course mate and friend I volunteer to accompany her to the hospital without even asking what the sickness was.

When we got to the hospital, I waited on the reception while she went in to see the doctor . After some minutes, she came out and told me she was asked to wait for a test to be carried out to ascertain was wrong with her. After we had waited for like an hour, the doctor finally came out and request she follow him ( I assumed it was for the test).

After about 10mins, the Doctor came to the reception again were I was innocently sitting and asked me to come with him; I followed him as we went into the operation ward. I was shocked to see my course mate lying on the operation bed unclad from her waist below, with her legs spread wide open . She was given those anesthesia drug that makes one slightly unconscious ( because she opened her eyes once in a while during the operation).

The Doctor requested I should come closer and take a glance ( pointing at a boil close to her vagina; he said to me, "this is what we have to remove". I was still dumbfounded to utter a word. Without wasting anymore time , he cut open the boil and pus began to gush out (my eye see something that day).

About an hour after the operation, she regained her consciousness. The first thing she said to me was "were you there?" I answered her in affirmation. She didn't know if she should hide her face or cry. She was angry with me (as if na my fault) , with the Doctor and everybody. I promised her I won't utter what transpired to any of our class members and I kept my promise.

Since that incident, I have been wondering why did the doctor want me to be present during the operation. I guess I got the answer today; he was only trying to be careful for fear of any accusation of molestation or rape. Probably, he thought I was her boyfriend. He needed a witness.

I think doctors should apply caution while dealing with female patients especially when it got to do with the private parts. They should request for a witness that would be present . The devil can use anyone to bring you down.

The point is not wether there was truly a disease to cure but the doctors taking advantage of the patients condition to abuse them. He the doctor should have known and told her the problem in the consultation room. If he needed to carry out any surgery, he should have told her before hand and had a nurse in there to assist him. This act of his should land him in court. That girl would had milked his ass dry.

Positive thinking. see this as a lesson for life, forgive yourself, thank God for making you come out without HIV and move on.
