Jesus Christ of Israel did not employ the term saved or any of its synonyms in the context of that conversation on the cross with the thief hanging there beside him. Jesus Christ of Israel also did not allude to the man having any special benefits bestowed on that man beyond what Jesus Christ of Israel proclaimed would take place that very same day to the man and His person. Before that conversation on the cross, we learned from Jesus Christ of Israel that when the day when He would be handed to the foreigners came around He would be found in the grave — He would die that day. Jesus Christ of Israel also insisted that He would be in the grave for 2 days after that — 3 days in the grave. It should then follow that when Jesus Christ of Israel announced to the man on the cross that he— the thief— would be with Him— Jesus Christ of Israel— in a place referred to as Paradise that same day what Jesus Christ of Israel meant was that the man would, along with Jesus Christ, die that same day.

you are saved before you are justified. You are not justified and then you become saved.
You have believe in the work of the Lord Jesus on cross open to it and you are saved. The work and the blood of Jesus will wash you and justified from all wrong doings. Then you can stand righteous in the sight of God

this does not imply to salvation. Apostle James was talking about faith. Faith without work is dead. Don't mix the two together

I know that there are threads concerning this topic but many people are still confused. Especially when some so called Christian are meddling up.


And let's use the thieves that was crucified with Jesus as a case study.
One of the thief if you are Christ save yourself and us but he wasn't justified so he wasn't saved.
The second thief said they are being punished for there sins but Jesus is crucified for the sins of the world. He now Lord remember me in your kingdom. Then Jesus told him today you will be with me in paradise.

What is the difference between the first thief and the second. The first thief if you Christ but he didn't really believe that Jesus is Christ. But the second said we suffering for what we did but Jesus was dying for something he didn't do. He was more or less saying that Jesus came to die for the sins of mankind. So he believed. And he said I want to be where you are. He believe that Jesus was going somewhere. He may not have a clear picture but he knows that he was going somewhere and he want to be where Jesus is. Is this not what we preached. Is this the gospel. That thief was justified by grace. He worked for it. He may have never seen the Lord Jesus. Maybe this is the first time he heard about Jesus but he believed. So salvation comes by grace not work.

This world is God's workshop, where He fashions us for the courts of heaven. He uses the planing knife upon our quivering hearts until the roughness and irregularities are removed and we are fitted for our proper places in the heavenly building. Through tribulation and distress the Christian becomes purified and strengthened, and develops a character after the model that Christ has given.

Let the afflictions which pain us so grievously become instructive lessons, teaching us to press forward toward the mark of the prize of our high calling in Christ. Let us be encouraged by the thought that the Lord is soon to come. Let this hope gladden our hearts.

The Bible God doesn't record evil deeds!

When people choose to be evil He warns them to repent (change) because such a lifestyle will give Him no other option than to destroy the evildoer {John 3:16} but as soon as the evildoer dies all his deeds of evil goes into the grave with him that's his own portion he has judged himself to be unworthy for life. That's why God's word says:
For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin. Romans 6:7

At death the sinner gets the full payment of his sins:

For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Note that Paul said there is a gift God has for good people, this means God keeps account of whatever good we do no matter how little it is.

So if you have good deeds God will keep your name in His memory book for the time when He will bring back His friends to live again! Job 14:13-15

But what happens to evildoers?
Nothing tangible to remember them for:

The wicked will retreat toward the Grave, All the nations who forget God. Psalms 9:17

So the true God is a happy person {1Timothy 1:11} the thought of evil deeds doesn't bring Him joy that's why He is urging us all to repent and start doing what will make Him remember us for good!

Rid yourselves of all the transgressions you have committed and acquire a new heart and a new spirit, for why should you die, O house of Israel? Ezekiel 18:31

That statement by Spurgeon turned out to be a great lie. Look at Nigeria where you will find generations of people whose bibles have fallen apart due to wear, and their lives have equally been reduced to abject poverty during that time.
