I know that there are threads concerning this topic but many people are still confused. Especially when some so called Christian are meddling up.


And let's use the thieves that was crucified with Jesus as a case study.
One of the thief if you are Christ save yourself and us but he wasn't justified so he wasn't saved.
The second thief said they are being punished for there sins but Jesus is crucified for the sins of the world. He now Lord remember me in your kingdom. Then Jesus told him today you will be with me in paradise.

What is the difference between the first thief and the second. The first thief if you Christ but he didn't really believe that Jesus is Christ. But the second said we suffering for what we did but Jesus was dying for something he didn't do. He was more or less saying that Jesus came to die for the sins of mankind. So he believed. And he said I want to be where you are. He believe that Jesus was going somewhere. He may not have a clear picture but he knows that he was going somewhere and he want to be where Jesus is. Is this not what we preached. Is this the gospel. That thief was justified by grace. He worked for it. He may have never seen the Lord Jesus. Maybe this is the first time he heard about Jesus but he believed. So salvation comes by grace not work.

When Affliction Comes

When he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 2 Chronicles 33:12.

“In the world ye shall have tribulation” (John 16:33), says Christ; but in Me ye shall have peace. The trials to which Christians are subjected in sorrow, adversity, and reproach are the means appointed of God to separate the chaff from the wheat. Our pride, selfishness, evil passions, and love of worldly pleasure must all be overcome; therefore God sends us afflictions to test and prove us, and show us that these evils exist in our characters. We must overcome through His strength and grace, that we may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. “For our light affliction,” says Paul, “which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17, 18). Afflictions, crosses, temptations, adversity, and our varied trials are God's workmen to refine us, sanctify us, and fit us for the heavenly garner.

Many of your afflictions have been visited upon you, in the wisdom of God, to bring you closer to the throne of grace. He softens and subdues His children by sorrows and trials. This world is God's workshop, where He fashions us for the courts of heaven. He uses the planing knife upon our quivering hearts until the roughness and irregularities are removed and we are fitted for our proper places in the heavenly building. Through tribulation and distress the Christian becomes purified and strengthened, and develops a character after the model that Christ has given.

Let the afflictions which pain us so grievously become instructive lessons, teaching us to press forward toward the mark of the prize of our high calling in Christ. Let us be encouraged by the thought that the Lord is soon to come. Let this hope gladden our hearts.

Our Father in heaven. We thank You for blessing us with another wonderful message today. Thank Your for fine-tuning our characters with the afflictions You allow to come our way and we are confident that since You allowed them, You are able to make them go away in Your own way and in Your own time. We ask for Your special blessings on us today, bless our finances, bless all that concerns us, give us good health and sound minds and may we testify to all of Your goodness to us. Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers for we have asked in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and soon coming King, Amen!

The Bible God doesn't record evil deeds!

When people choose to be evil He warns them to repent (change) because such a lifestyle will give Him no other option than to destroy the evildoer {John 3:16} but as soon as the evildoer dies all his deeds of evil goes into the grave with him that's his own portion he has judged himself to be unworthy for life. That's why God's word says:
For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin. Romans 6:7

At death the sinner gets the full payment of his sins:

For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Note that Paul said there is a gift God has for good people, this means God keeps account of whatever good we do no matter how little it is.

So if you have good deeds God will keep your name in His memory book for the time when He will bring back His friends to live again! Job 14:13-15

But what happens to evildoers?
Nothing tangible to remember them for:

The wicked will retreat toward the Grave, All the nations who forget God. Psalms 9:17

So the true God is a happy person {1Timothy 1:11} the thought of evil deeds doesn't bring Him joy that's why He is urging us all to repent and start doing what will make Him remember us for good!

Rid yourselves of all the transgressions you have committed and acquire a new heart and a new spirit, for why should you die, O house of Israel? Ezekiel 18:31

That guy was a criminal who doesn't feel the Christ is coming to save Israel again after so much waiting but at the point of death the words of his partner in crime revived him:

“You are the Christ, are you not? Save yourself and us too!” Luke 23:39

That quickly ran through the mind of the other guy. If Jesus is called the Christ by most people but he's now dying beside them who are criminals surely Jesus is truly the Christ:

Because he poured out his life even to death And was counted among the transgressors; He carried the sin of many people, And he interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12

So Jesus has the power to break free but he didn't, surely he is ready to sacrifice his life for many people according to the scriptures!

That's why he said to his cohort in crime:

“Do you not fear God at all, now that you have received the same judgment? And we rightly so, for we are getting back what we deserve for the things we did; but this man did nothing wrong.” Luke 23:40-41

Turning to Jesus:

 Then he said: “Jesus, remember me when you get into your Kingdom.” Luke 23:42

This statement means he as accepted Jesus as the Messiah and king of God's promised Kingdom. That's what all sinners need to do!

So Jesus can't deny this guy what all repentant sinners deserve!


“Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise" Luke 23:43

Has this thief REPENTED of his sins or not?

Because of time, I will go straight to the point.
When you give you life to Christ, you are given a everlasting life. A life that translates us to heaven. John 3:16 "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth In him should not perish but have everlasting life". When you believe in Lord Jesus as the son of God who came to earth to die for the sins of mankind, you are saved. You are given everlasting life. The life that make us citizens of heaven. But the problem is that we are still here on earth. We didn't leave the earth and go to heaven immediately. We still leave in this world of the devil and evil. How do we live through this world as a child of God that has been given everlasting life. A record was made in heaven by the Father, the son and the Holy Ghost(1 John 5:7) that anyone that believe on the Lord Jesus, will eternal life. So eternal life is the life of the Holy Spirit. A life that enable us to live here on earth with power over the devil and this world. A life that give us dominion. You will live a ordinary life even though you are saved until you have eternal life. You may have your life to Christ. You may believe in the Lord Jesus and have everlasting life and still be powerless. It is when you have the Holy Spirit become your life that you will have dominion over the devil and this world. Romans 8:10 says, And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness. It is only when the spirit becomes your life that he quicken your mortal bodies(Verse 11). It is then that the Holy Spirit will give life to your body. He will give you the abundant life the Lord Jesus talks about in John 10:10. Then you live free over the devil.


So everlasting life comes when we believe in the Lord Jesus and give our lives to him. We are saved with everlasting life. We are guarantee of heaven. But we still here on earth. So the the power and life we need to live through this life so that we don't lose the everlasting life given to us, is eternal life. EVERLASTING LIFE THE LIFE OF HEAVEN WHILE ETERNAL LIFE THE LIFE OF EARTH. Thanks I will stop here for now

You also mentioned that some people might argue that Mary, the mother of Jesus, conceived through the Holy Spirit—is that not correct?

Am not saying it is not correct that Mary got pregnant through the Holy Ghost. I was trying to show that even though Mary got pregnant through the Holy Ghost, Joseph was still the earthly Father of the Lord Jesus. It was through the lineage of Joseph that the Lord Jesus became a human being. That was what I was emphasis on. Are we going to say that the Holy Ghost is the earthly Father of Jesus because Mary got pregnant through the Holy Ghost.

With the help of the Holy Ghost I will be showing you the difference between everlasting life and eternal life. Though this words may have the same meaning but biblical they are different. And I will be using John 3:14-16 as the main verse.
"And as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness, so must the son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth In him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth In him should not perish but have everlasting life.
In verse 14, the Bible talks about an event that happened to the children of Israel after they left Egypt. They disobeyed God and God made serpent to come out from the ground to bit the children of Israel. They were dying from the vernom of the serpent until Moses cried to God and ask for forgiveness. God now told Moses to make a golden statue of a serpent that anyone that look at that serpent will not die. And the Lord Jesus Christ said as that serpent was lifted up so he the son of man will be lifted up. And as the children of Israel were save from vernom of the serpent, when he is lifted up we would be saved.
From verse 14 I want you to note the word son of man. The Lord Jesus said so he as the son of man must be lifted up. He wasn't talking of the the son of God here he was talking of the son of man.
For us to really know what eternal life is, we must know the Lord Jesus as the son of man. Who Jesus is as the son of man and what he did as a son of man. Our understanding of this is what give us eternal life. The Lord Jesus is the son of God in heaven. But he came to the world and become the son of a man called Joseph and Mary. I know some will argue that Mary the mother of Jesus was pregnant through the Holy Ghost but Joseph was still the earthly Father of Jesus. It was through the lineage of Joseph the Lord Jesus came to earth. So he came to this world and became the son of Joseph and Mary. Why this is important, is because if you don't know the Lord Jesus as the son of man, it will be difficult for you to know and believe in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. BECAUSE JESUS CAN ONLY DIE AS THE SON OF MAN AND NOT AS THE SON OF GOD. Jesus as the son of man is a human being but Jesus as the son of God is a spirit. Spirit cannot die. Spirit cannot be seen or touch. So fo the Lord Jesus to die for our sins and resurrect, he must come to this world and become the son of a man. And it our faith in the Lord Jesus as a son of man that gives us eternal life. And as the serpent was lifted up so must the son of man be lifted up that whosoever that believe in him should not perish but have eternal life. Ponder on this. If you have any questions you can ask. I have six different Bible translations, and only the KJV uses "everlasting life" in John 3:16, while the others say "eternal life." Are you suggesting that the translators who used "eternal life" got it wrong or weren’t good students of the Bible?

My brother, there is no hidden meaning in Scripture—"eternal life" and "everlasting life" mean the same thing.

you are wrong sir. Everlasting life and eternal life are not the same biblical. The English dictionary can define them to have the same meaning but in the Bible they are two very different thing. Am not talking about Greek here. Is like saying because In English it is define the same so they are the same. I will just give you two clue. I don't want to go too deep in this.
No 1 clue is that dont you think that the Bible will not intentionally use the same words one verses apart. Why will the Bible say eternal life in verse 15 and say everlasting life in verse 16. If you are a good student of the Bible, you will know that it is strange for it to be written like that. There is something God want us to know and is our duty to find out.
2 clue is in verse 14. If you want to know the difference between everlasting life and eternal life, understand what the Bible is saying in verse 14. The beauty of us as a Christian is what is understanding what verse 14 says and the difference between everlasting life and eternal life.
Like I said I don't want to go too deep into this. It is a journey of our Christian life. Not some things I can just be explaining to in few line here.

very good. Bless you. James complement Paul work. Paul teaches that Abraham believe and James complement the teaching by saying Abraham don't just seat down and claim he believed, he show the evidence of his faith by taken a bold step to sacrifice his son Isaac.

And is that salvation. We talking about salvation and talking about Abraham's faith in not sacrificing his son.
