Shame for being a sinner because of what you saw? That sounds more like a sort of intimidation tactic on their part, don't you think? The sinners that saw and hung around Jesus Christ did not feel ashamed, how come? How old are you |

Christianity Etc › Re: Question: "Is It Wrong For A Couple To Live Together Before Marriage?" by delkuf(m): 12:53am On Aug 06, 2020 |
solite3: Question: "Is it wrong for a couple to live together before marriage?"
Answer: The answer to this question depends somewhat on what is meant by “living together.” If it means having sexual relations, it is definitely wrong. Premarital sex is repeatedly condemned in Scripture, along with all other forms of sexual immorality (Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13, 18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). The Bible promotes complete abstinence outside of (and before) marriage. Sex before marriage is just as wrong as adultery and other forms of sexual immorality, because they all involve having sex with someone you are not married to.
If “living together” means living in the same house, that is perhaps a different issue. Technically, there is nothing wrong with a man and a woman living in the same house—if there is nothing immoral taking place. However, the problem arises in that there is still the appearance of immorality (1 Thessalonians 5:22; Ephesians 5:3), and it could be a tremendous temptation for immorality. The Bible tells us to flee immorality, not expose ourselves to constant temptations to immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Then there is the problem of appearances. A couple who is living together is assumed to be sleeping together—that is just the nature of things. Even though living in the same house is not sinful in and of itself, the appearance of sin is there. The Bible tells us to avoid the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22; Ephesians 5:3), to flee from immorality, and not to cause anyone to stumble or be offended. As a result, it is not honoring to God for a man and a woman to live together outside of marriage. www.gotquestion.org What do you mean by couple. |

I find his ways funny though even though many people dont. I'm trying to understand his own stand point which when you look into, has some pure truth. And I expect us to cut a slack on one another rather than condemn ourselves outrightly because of the differences in our interpretation of the Bible.

Kobojunkie: What? https://www.iconhot.com/icon/png/manto/128/bother.png Is God the one asking weak-minded individuals who barely know anything about Him to go preach the gospel? Do you really believe that? Many of you do not even understand what the Gospel is, let alone what to teach, yet you are convinced that God wants you to preach the gospel? Part of the reason Christianity has turned out yet another religion out there is because of half-baked "Christian" badge wearers who have had smoke blown up their behinds believing they are indeed saved, without doing what Jesus Christ in fact commanded and paying the toll necessary to become a follower of Jesus Christ.
When Jesus Christ called His disciples, they abandoned everything and taught under Him for a period of at least 1 year before He sent them out for the first time to preach. He made certain to instruct them on what to do and where to go. It was only after about 3 and half years total of their learning from Him, and watching His example, before He sent them out to go preach to the world.
In what is the Christian religion today, supposed converts are sent out almost immediately to go preach to the world...Does that sound sane or similar in any way to anything Jesus Christ did? Worse, these converts, 99.9% of them not even born again, match out believing themselves gods imbued with the magical power to convert people for God? How can they when they themselves have no part in God? Please I don't have time to argue today. let the person I was referring to read and comment. please I don't have time today |

JahBwoy: What could that be bro What about to tell you is very important and it can change your life. It may seem like a joke, but one thing God is asking of us as a Christian is to out and preach the gospel. this is the only God want from us. if we go and tell others about Christ, it brings the favour of God into our lives. By so doing, ending shame and poverty in our lives. My brother, if you see the beauty of this, I can tell you in few months time you will be singing other song. I would like to take it up with you. may be through other means. tell others about Christ. pray for them and see them established in Christ and see how will decorate your life. Remember, there is no blessings of God that doesn't come with a responsibility of what we must do to see it actualize in our lives. read John chapter 15 and Job 23:25. |

Arizonaz: Good morning Like say government hate to borrow money like I do, we for done go far for this country.
For the LORD your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you. Deuteronomy 15:6
This is the place Nigeria as a nation missed it. A borrower remains a slave to the lender.
