So is it Demehin you want to be absent? 😂😂

Anyway we literally need an U23 replacement/Back up for Osinachi Ohale right now, someone as tall as her, Very aggressive with her Defensive and a great marker..

Do we have anyone that fall into that category right now??

What is the Best Formation, Madugu can select against France?

I have a feeling Madugu will elect for a 4-3-3 formation. Barring last minute injuries, I ween our strongest starting 11 is:

Nnadozie

Alozie — Ohale — Demehin — Plumptre

Ucheibe

Echegini —- Payne

Nkor —- Onumonu —- Babajide

Substitutes
1• Unachukwu
2• Mgbechi
3• Monday
4• Adoo
5• Imuran
6• Oladipo
7• Isah
8• Omewa

Our Local Coaches play a brand of football built on largely formulaic and predictable individual play coalescing into decent team routines (physical/functional football) rather than a well calibrated, highly refined and supremely coordinated group dynamics leading the charge and devolving into unpredictable movements.

Functional football is easy to the eye and very plain. With players who know what they are doing and are very professional, it can cause problems even the most technical team on the planet.

And Madugu has highly competent players who are well versed in the job description of their roles and can raise their individual performance to make functional football effective. The traditional roles of wingers, midfielders, defenders and centre forwards (the cornerstone of physical/functional football) can be performed with class and effectiveness by most of the players invited.

After following closely the outputs of local coaches particularly in the last 5 years, I have come to perish the expectations of seeing tactical football in play. We simply do not have the infrastructure to produce this sort of football. So, hopefully our local coaches can enhance the possibilities inherent in traditional football of the 1970s 80s/90s and select players capable enough to bring modern interpretations to bear.

So, I am looking to see how things play out.

"I cannot control what people say or what happens. I cannot do anything about meanness or injustice. I want to be myself, above all."

On this National Team Call Up:

"I was looking forward to it. It is a real breath of fresh air. Here, I can train properly, express myself, play matches, and have fun. Laurent Bonadei is counting on me a lot, so I am giving my all for him. This confidence is great."

People are complaining in the comments section. They say that she's a man and that she's not British.

has played at the World Cup and Olympics so I don’t think there’s anything this comments will do again. They will only talk and talk.

Biologically she’s a Woman but with a Man’s attributes.

Hmm, then I would ask a out Eluehi? Is she also injured? It's a big task for any of the other GKs called up to start by facing France. Not impossible but a big ask as Enyeama started his int'l career against England.
The thing is if those two alternates called up had quality we wouldn’t be worried at all.. One of the reasons the Coaches need to go hard on scouting for goalies especially home & abroad.. Nnadozie might be okay to play as she has been rested by her club in their past two league games. A 60% fit Nnadozie is still far preferable than any of those two..

Abeg why is Abiodun's name missing? Also is Ihezuo injured and Regina Otu as well. Surprised that Nicole Payne was also left out, same with Onyenezidane.

Finally are the home based players chosen, the best home-based players currently, just suprised they are majorly from Nasarawa Amazons?
The truth is the best Home based players are running to the smaller leagues in Europe ( Turkey, Israel, Albania, Kazakhstan, Lithuania etc) and even Morocco for the Money and better development while the remaining ones ain’t even considered but their personal players are brought in instead.

Any small thing you go put MacLean name inside, she's not good enough for super falcons
Did you ever read this post to understand? Or you responded for response sake??
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani:
How does the call-up to the Super Falcons of Nigeria work? Is it based on a quota system or do the coaches just pick randomly? Or is it the NFF that recommends players to the coaches? I don't understand how we would have such talented and in-form players in Europe and not give them a chance to prove themselves. With the absence of the dependable Rasheedat Ajibade, names like Esther Okoronkwo, Uchenna Kanu, Macleans Chinonyerem etc., I thought it was best to give a look out for the current most in-form forwards we have in Europe. How can you have talented, fast, and skillful youngsters like this that are hot in the various top leagues in Europe and not give them a look? Nigerian coaches are just so bad at taking advantage of in-form players, Madugu and his Coaching Crew need to do better...

For instance, Joy Ugochukwu Omewa, a 21-year-old CF playing for Fortuna Hjorring Women in Denmark🇩🇰, has played 14 games, scoring 11 goals and 4 assists. She's currently the top scorer in the Danish Elitedivisionen Women. Another example is Edna Imade, a 24-year-old forward playing for Granada CF Women in Spain🇪🇸, who has played 11 games, scoring 7 goals. She's currently the 3rd top scorer in the Spanish Liga F Women.

Name; Joy Ugochukwu Omewa
Position; CF
Club; Fortuna Hjorring Women, Denmark 🇩🇰
Age: 21yrs (01.12.2002)
Current Form; 14games, 11goals and 4 Assists

Note📝; She’s currently the TopScorer in the Danish Elitedivisionen Women.

Name; Edna Imade
Position; Forward
Club; Granada CF Women, Spain 🇪🇸
Age: 24yrs (05.10.2000)
Current Form; 11games, 7goals

Note📝; She’s currently the 3rd TopScorer in the Spainish Liga F Women.

Means she really wants just Spain stay. I believe she had offers outside but probably didn't want to.
Same thing going on with Maureen Umeh, she love it there in France …. Her dream of playing for PSG is just so special to her, I hope it comes to pass.. She’s still young though.. 22yrs

I did, thanks to bring her to my attention.
Like her command of the midfield and her fight in the midfield. Also seems to have big lungs on her.
Would like to see how she maps into the SF team, if able.
I think Nigeria are good at producing very Strong Defensive Midfielders who are good at ball recovery and cleaning up the mess in Midfield..

Favour Emmanuel should be look out for with Ayinde aging already..

Im smiling at a linkup between her and Rinsola already. And with JOE behind. Oh my!!
If Madugu doesn’t Start Monday Gift…

Rw- Blessing Nkor, CF- Ifeoma Onumonu and LW- Rinsola Babajide should be the look out for..

I notice Madugu plays only 1DM with 2CM/AM on both sides going to & fro while working with the Wingers and Fullback..

So Ucheibe, JOE and Payne might start together..

AkinDS:
Yes.
They got relegated last season, even though she has been getting to play the full 90. I also wouldn't rule out a move for her in the next transfer window.
The Spanish div. 2 is still more competitive than some of the other leagues which some of our ladies play for.
Its all about testing out if she will make a good fit.
I had to go with Favour Emmanuel right now, she has really grown a lot at Lokomotive Moscow, Pairing her with Ucheibe on a Double Pivot would have been great.. She’s another double Lungs 🫁 player who get hard on her Ball recoveries, Her passes look good also.

Yeah yeah really wanted to see Blessing Nkor on the big stage, She’s good, We needed fast players and she’s one of them who can bring that threatening pace and power upfront..!

After a failed Deal with PSG 🇫🇷 and Lokomotive Moscow in Russia🇷🇺. I hope things fall into place next Transfer Window.

She moved from Valencia CF to Sporting Huelva, a D2 side in Spain. I hardly follow D2 teams apart from France 🇫🇷..

I will try and see if I can get their games which will be very difficult, can’t post just ordinary infos here when I don’t have details of how she’s fairing overthere.

Again, the abject stupidity of Magudu and the NFF comes to fore...

They leave out the likes of Uchenna Kanu, Esther Okoronkwo, Nicole Payne, Chidinma Okeke, Joy Omewa, Elisha Sulola, or even Maureen Umeughochukwu (who is resident in France) and Macleans, not to mention the likes of Favour Emmanuel (Lokomotive) and Edna Imade?

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to fly these players, most of whom play in Europe already, into France than buying tix for them to fly from Nigeria? Shouldn't this have been the time to test out these potential players that could augment the Falcons, vs wait until tournament proper to find out if they will be a good fit?

I'm pretty sure Magudu will play dumb when you mention Edna Imade's name and pretend he has never heard of her. Of course, he will be quick to invite his favorite chunky-ass keeper Unachukwu, who he invited for the Algeria friendlies.

Just dumb decision making and a lack of foresight.
My major problem with them is that they don’t know how to take advantage of players in form… Imagine Omewa, Imade scoring back to back but still yet they wouldn’t consider them instead market their Nigerian based players..

This team don’t even need Monday Gift at this stage if it was really about giving players chance! She already shown what she can bring, why not give them Imade, Omewa chance to show what they have got.. I understand Onumonu call up, apart from form she’s in France..

If they truly wanted to save Funds and widen the Roster Maureen Umeh is in France there… With the absence of Ayinde and Abiodun why not give Favour Emmanuel or Regina Otu chance..

Nkor bringing that raw pace and power to the flank, something we seem to be lacking in the attack.
