Ok great. NFF dey cut cost against Algeria be that, knowing it would be a routine win.

But those 2 overweight Goal keepers, backups to Nnadozie? Will they still likely be around for much longer or retire soon?
Justin Magudu should look towards Faith Omilana and Linda Jiwuaku biko.
I don’t even expect more than 3 to 5 of those Home based players in the Squad of 23players for this game, If Tochukwu Oluehi returns, then 1 goalkeeper among the HB will be picked which is Racheal Unauchukwu who Started the 2nd leg against Algeria…

Any defender? Nop

Ohale, Alozie, N Payne, Okeke, Demehin and Plumptre are all fit. If NFF want to cut cost as well they can just pick Maureen Umeh who’s based in France too..

In Midfield? Do you guys see any of them coming in? I can’t even pick one even though we still have Ucheibe, Echegini and Ayinde injured… the first two might be back on game management though…

Upfront, Hattrick scorer Folashade Ijamilusi can come in.. But we have a bunch of our forwards abroad in Europe…

Ifeoma Onumonu is in France, she should get in as well…

We really need to look into the future side as well.. Faith Omilana, Linda Jiwuaku and foreign born goalies like Comfort Erhabor 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and Medinat Lawal 21yrs 🇺🇸 can be look out for as well…

Now this is what we are talking about. Good job by the NFF. Hopefully they can add another one.
Yeah yeah… Another one would make it great 3rd of December a good date since France is also playing Spain that day. We should go for teams like Switzerland 🇨🇭, Finland🇫🇮 or even Iceland🇮🇸…

Iceland are a Physical, Tall and Fast side that would give us a good competition as well…

Switzerland are being Coached by the Legendary Swedish Coach Pia Sundhage..

I Don’t know much about Finland right now, but it seems they’re on the rise again after going down sometime ago..

Yeah, I expect full compliment of our foreign based stars except Justin Magudu don dey...
I hope there's another game during the window. Should be 2 matches.
Yeah… the main team should prosecute the game for sure but again some of the top talents in Midfield might not be available the likes of Halimatu Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe and Onyi Echegini… Deborah Abiodun have the NCAA Tournament on ground that’s if they get to the quarterfinals 29/30 of November..

Fortuna Hjorring moved to the top of the Danish 🇩🇰 Elitedivisionen thanks to Joy Omewa's crucial goal in their 2-1 win over Nordsjælland.

Omewa scored in the 42nd minute with a dynamic run and left-footed shot. She played 79 minutes before Samantha Kuhne took her place.

The Nigerian forward has now scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 11 league games.

I think it was more than the poll itself - there were subtle jabs at the FB players (prompting the retorts from Tonie Payne and Alozie), which is not surprising in itself, considering she has always put her foot in her mouth whenever she is on social media (poor comments about Waldrum after a WAFCON, crass comments about her being left out of the WC, etc.). This is certainly not outside of the scope of what she would say.

The issue with here is she is still living in the past and is fiercely refusing to move into the future. She cannot seem to wrap her head around the fact that we live in a world where Nigerians in diaspora are also Nigerians. She has always been very myopic in her thought process. Unfortunately, people like her always become a relic of the past and end up being left behind.
She shouldn’t forget that she’s a mother and her child might decide to play football in the future and she looks like someone who isn’t going to reside in Nigeria having lived in Sweden and currently relocated to Canada with some of her family members as well…

Mk she mind her speech sha cause they can be used against her kids as well in the future… Ur Mama say mk NFF focus on the Local based players in the past…. whereas her own pikin na foreign born..

And she’s forgetting now that she has Swedish citizenship and she gave birth to her son in Canada where she currently resides which means her
Son is a dual citizen as well… So she mean to say now that if her son or a daughter if she gets one too plays football in the future he or she shouldn’t be considered for the National team because he’s foreign born ahbi?

So u are still telling yourself she was poor against Algeria? She made a couple mistakes and u rushed to post, next thing we knew she had a goal and assist. Then she follows that up with another goal and assist for club. Better get used to Gift Monday cos she is going to be big for us.
There’s nothing to get used to there, If she’s big ooo. Good for her.

Nigeria U17 2022 set have really produced a lot of talents and many of them are currently playing college football in the US 🇺🇸

Defender Sunday Blessing and Captain Alvine Dah Zossu are currently with North Idaho College Women's
Soccer in the US..

This is amazing I must say..
I’m waiting to see what this Current set will deliver… I hope the likes of Moshood & Chidi are also having the Collegiate Path in their plan cause they’re very young… b4 they get to 20yrs they should be ready for Pro Football with a Degree in their Bag 💼 already…

So?
Playing poorly for the SuperFalcons doesn’t mean she shouldn’t do well for her Clubside….

She isn’t the first or the last either..!

Agreed. Just saying she shouldn't be written off and we should not put the nail to the coffin before she "kpai".
On my own, I really want to see a Mother playing actively in the SuperFalcons as well.. So others can see and learn from as well that you can still play at the highest level as a soccer Mom..

National team places has to be on merit not past performances for any player. If at any point, Nkobi proves to be better than Payne, Echegini and Onyenezidane, then she deserves a call up. Let every lady fight and earn their spot.
I’m not saying she won’t get a call up ooo, if she get back to that 2014–2019 performance level (The peak of her Career) and even above she should get a call up… Again I don’t see the likes of Payne, Echegini & Onyenezide slowing down either… They would all want to keep their spots too….

Let the best and most inform get the call up…! But again she needs time to play her way back to the top level..

There will be no problem as far as Okobi never get invited to super falcons
She’s planning on returning to playing very soon sha…
Which I think she will also try and get back into the SuperFalcons but again, is going to be tough… We have got Toni Payne, Onyi Echegini and Esther Onyenezide in that position already… Okobi coming back will now drop who? Cause at a point i believe only Two can come in.. Payne & Echegini being the regulars plus Onyenezide trying to break in…!

Maureen Umeughochukwu, also known as Nigeria Wendie Renard, is a 22-year-old athletic center back born on October 27, 2001. Her former coach at US Saint Malo described her as swift, aerially proficient, and visionary. Standing at 6 ft 2 in, Umeughochukwu leverages her height and physical presence to excel as a dominant defender, adept at winning aerial duels and effecting headed clearances, while posing a goal threat from set pieces. In the 2023-24 French League 2 season, her second full campaign in France's second division, Umeughochukwu demonstrated exceptional defensive clearance skills. Noted for her tackling prowess and comfort with the ball.

Umeughochukwu suits possession-based styles, boasting good positional awareness and game reading. Versatile, she can also play right back. Characterized as a tall, quick, and athletic defender, Umeughochukwu possesses necessary physical attributes for top-level center-back success. Nantes teammates praise her as a 'brick wall, tough tackler' and 'commanding aerial presence.' Umeughochukwu's speed, athleticism, and game understanding enable excellence in 1-v-1 and zonal marking situations.

This current Edo Queens, do they have what it takes to go all the way in the caf wcl?
They stood a chance to at least get to the Final in the past, but right now I will place them in Semi Final level,
The only problem now is if the Coaches can replace them with same quality players as some of the key players that Won the WAFU tournament have left the club to move abroad.

Attacking Midfielder Suliat Abideen has just left for Turkey 🇹🇷

The Potentials have always been there, Was our best U20 Defender till date even though she didn’t do well at the U20 World Cup, let me just say Danjuma effect..!

Even Chioma Olise was cool calm and Collected, but at the U20 World Cup she was different..

Quality wise and If you’re truthful to yourself, Monday Gift won’t even make SuperFalcons top5 forwards on a norms...

She keep getting the opportunity but hasn’t shown why she’s getting those call ups, No wonder Randy hardly give her good minutes.

1• Asisat Oshoala
2• Rasheedat Ajibade
3• Uchenna Kanu

Is she new to you?

If you no know Ijamilusi I go vex, She has played U17 & U20 for us na… Under Thomas Dennerby she was a regular home based player as well and also played against Algeria the last time we played them when TD was Coach..

Injury hindered her progress, she’s getting back.
