berem: But Emordi, at the meeting, pointedly told the President that the idea of using cash to buy the support of members of NASS was wrong approach, because events of the past in the NASS had shown that it was capable of having a negative effect. Our source said she told the Presidency that she had been in the Senate and understands how members think. In fact, she reportedly told the President that the idea was dumb, our source said.
A special adviser gave the president a good and candid advice, and suddenly, the president sacks the special adviser? You see why Jonathan remains a retarrdd? smh. That's the way of Jonathan. He is immune to good advise. |

DaLover: Clap for yourself, one set of people are petty thieves and the other set are robbers, your strenuous efforts to set yourself and tribe better than others remains your folly till date....
This is not about tribe and its not my intent to make it such. u are the one that is delibrating bringing in tribe and ethnicity to issues. that has always been ur ways. Mine is to say it as it is. because one region is much more corrupt than the other does not make the less corrupt tribe superior to the other. use ur brain.
Anyhow...I am not into who steals more than the others, a thief is a thief, small a big, I don't see how your governors are more accountable, cos the criteria for ruling any state in the SW is to belong to a Yoruba denominated party...
Corrupt practices abound everywhere unfortunately however its much more pronounced in the ND. In the SW, we see more projects being delivered within the limited resources available however in the SS we see especially in extremely rich states like delta, bayelsa we see less and less. what about agencies like NDDC and Ministry of ND created to cater for them? what have they offered so far despite the huge funding? The SW determines ho governs them and not ur skewed logic.
and I repeat, asides from Lagos....ACN or AD or AC or what ever Yoruba party has not demonstrated capacity to do better than what is obtained elsewhere. I am taking average of SW states vs states from other zones.
U dont need to repeat when u have not even tackled the examples i gave earlier. reports and testimonies coupled with threads here on Nairaland abound on the progress in SW. Ur kind that can deny the menace in this zone ill never acknowledge such. Even at that, i mention few of the various towns and cities exploding in SW and i challenge u to do the same for ND states excluding their capitals. what have u given so far? none.
Am I supporting corruption in the Niger delta?.hell no, do I agree that corruption in the Niger delta is very high, yes indeed...
and i am further saying that its the highest in the country. to whom much is given, much is expected. the opposite is the case here. are other regions culpable? o yes, but not as severe as ND.
But while you are coming here to say that it a unique problem to the Nigerdelta due to the backwardness of the nigerdelta...
i said no such thing. stop being mischievous.
I maintain that it is a national problem which is a result of a structure that encourages laziness.
while i have issues with the structure, i disagree that it encourages laziness. while some are making use of the same structure and doing worthwhile things that are remarkable, some arent. A lazy and incompetent leader will be no matter the structure. get ursef good leaders and stop blaming the structure. besides, if ND thinks the problem is the structure, what better time is to change the structure than no that we have a ND on the throne. is it when an Aboki comes on board that u will be talking about that? what has the retardeen done so far as regards true federation? continue to deceive ursef there.
Therefore your various disguised attempts to make the Nigerdeltans feel inferior is very sad and shameful, your continuous over amplification of issues regarding the the nigerdelta needs to be exposed for the real reasons you are doing so....
i didnt make ND inferior neither did i castigate the people. i live with them and i know they are wonderful people. Those i castigate are their miserable leaders who cheat them of their collective wealth and leaving them in the cold. u will only have issues with this if u are among these miserable leaders. i have no apology for that.
you have exonerated Tinubu,
ooo yes until u bring reason why he shouldn't be exonerated. Because u said it does not make it so. he is among the most investigated politician in this country till date and yet the security agents whom he has no hold on find no fault in him. Even the case against him in CCB was thrown out like a pack of cards. Even at that, he has on several occasions welcomed the idea of him being investigated the more. what else do u want. how i wish that the thief Odili can say the same thing instead of running to the law court to receive a perpetual injuction against him being investigated. Live with that.
but will gleefully crucify Tompolo,
Of cos this killer has to be stoned. having killed several innocent men under the disguise of fighting for emancipation, recent events has shown that he was indeed fighting for the emancipation of his pockets and nothing more, not even his people. Those that died, died in vain and allowing their love ones to miss them forever. The question is no that his pocket has been emancipated, is the ND better for it? Of cos the fool has kept shut since then.
you will lambast Patrick Aziza
I never lambast Aziza. That hero died after declaring that the killer party has a hand in the activities of the evil Boko haram. I believe retardeen should be held accountable.
and keep quiet for dasuki, even in the same circumstances,
which of the dasukis and what same circumstance? did this same dasuki killed the innocent just like Tompolo did to enrich himself or did this dasuki siphon half of his states resources the same way ibori did. U made no sense here.
now you have classified SW govt as petty thieves while ND governors are robbers, I am surprised you didn't call the SW govt saints...
There are no saintly politician and Nigeria dont even need such now. We need those that will deliver and that SW has. the same cant be said about the ND
What did the ND ever do to you?
i love the ND. |

Politics › Re: Development In The Niger Delta Region By NDDC by Demdem(m): 12:11pm On Sep 21, 2013 |
[s] DaLover: Listen to atlwireless, what he is saying makes a lot of sense, outside of Lagos, which other state in the SW is better than any state in the SS or SE, they are all he same on the average. Your next argument would be that if the SW states had more funds, they would achieve much more, but I have 2 answers to that. 1- with the present structure we are running, more money translates to more money to steal, so you absolutely cannot say he SW states wold do better 2- the SE states also do not receive an allocations, so how far better is the SW states than the SE states, lagos is exceptional so leave it out. 3- one of the more corrupt people, profiting immensely from SW funds is Tinubu, how many questions has he been asked?
As far as I am concerned, if the FG is the one paying the states, then the states would not be accountable to the people, a govt that running outside of the monies generated from its citizens is a misnomer and is by default not accountable to the people. [/s] Complete crap. Infact, atwires makes better sense than this piece of shit. Av always known ur line of thought to be skewed and this isn't an exception. The basis of ur argument made no sense. Firstly, outside lag, SS receives more money than the rest of SW and the govt there are more responsive and accountable than their colleagues in SS. Not that SS govs aren't doing anything at all but they are shortchanging their people by giving them peanuts in the midst of abundance. As a result, I can comfortably say SW gets better value for money spent. Emphasis on better. Now to ur specifics. 1. Going by ur skewed talk which I don't neccesarily agree with, more money means more to steal and of cos more to work on. If initially they were given $10 and they steal $4 but work on $6 , if given $20, they will surely have more to work on and of cos more to steal. They will surely work on more than $10. The problem is the percentage difference of what is stolen. While in the SS, amout stolen is more than 60% of amount received, its considerably less than that in SW. 2. And what is so special about SE states? Just like we have enugu, owerri, onitsha, aba(in bad shape) we likewise have abeokuta, agbara, ijebu ode, ibadan, ogbomosho, oshogbo, Akure etc. Infact I can confidently say SE/SW are getting better value for their money than SS with the exception of edo. Av u ever wondered why apart from the state capitals plus warri from these states, there is no other prominent towns and yet these states are well funded. 3. That is so only in the skewed brains of some stupid ibos and some our oyel infected brain and remants of the killer party in the SW. Agreed, Tinubu offers services for LASG through his companies and so what? Tinubu has nothing to answer for. The issue here is there are petty thieves, thieves and robbers. While govt in SS can be categorize as robbers, those in SW can be categorize as petty thieves. Based on current system, SW govs are more accountable than their counterparts here. |
