But where he would have problems is when he stops or try to stop oil theft. Tinubu is the streetest of all the politicians, he might be using his own boy as a gambit against the arrayed opposition |

Civetcat: This is exactly one of obasanjo’s first move when he came to power . Tinubu is ticking along nicely. He is front loading all the shocks and the pain will be unbearable at first . But handled properly ,Nigerians will reap all the benefits. The funny thing is that Nigerian were already paying a higher price for over 10 years . My advice for Tinubu’s communications team is that they are not doing their job properly.Nigeria is not Lagos where you have a large professional class who understand the vagaries of economics. Even Lagos is full of dimwits. There is a need to communicate policies, the reason for , the effects and its potential benefits directly to the populace.Go to the hinterland and market squares . Communicate directly with the people . Get their buy ins . Look for quick easy wins . FVCK palliatives . Use that money and import 50000 cheap tractors from china and distribute them to farmers cooperatives. Get enough railway rolling stocks on the train lines ASAP and build agriculture transportation and distribution hubs around the lines . This can be achieved within 12 months . Tell those useless flyover, event center and street light building governors to invest state funds in areas of competitive advantage. For most , it is agriculture. Absolutely ignore all those so called Harvard agricultural experts who have never stepped on a farm for one day in their lives with their yeye “cooking pot” and “telephone for farmers”programs of the past . Face the reality on the ground and not some half baked classroom theories. On point |

Tinubu was sworn in yesterday and it was as if the country were in mourning mood . Everywhere quiet especially here in Lagos . Clearly your brain is dead if you say Tinubu swearing in is like mourning mood. If you did not hear people hailing him at every turn at least you could see that the square as filled to the brim. If not then your brain not working |

Heffalump: @OP, be reminded that the rates were better a few weeks ago when dollar was exchanging at #725 to $1 (about 2 weeks ago). Everything started rallying up as soon as it became clear the Tinubu is to be sworn in. Do you need a prophet of doom to let you know that Nigeria is having a bumpy ride soon? This is a very bad omen. Many have also kick-started their japa syndrome, because it's not going to be easy mehnn.
Believe me, if it was Obi/ Datti that was declared winner, the exchange rates would have been on the downward slide in favour of the naira. It would have restored investors confidence in Nigeria to some extent. Those who pulled back would have had some beacon of hope and given some slack. Let me tell you, those self acclaimed powerful people that stole Obi's mandate thought they're politically powerful. You can't call yourself a Richman when members of your household are in abject poverty. It'll hurt everybody eventually. What goes around comes around. Very dumb comment |

T8ksy: Na u no get shame o.
The "owners of Nigeria" have repeatedly told you all (inwards and actions) that, "No Igbo man will ever rule Nigeria" but you guys are deaf & selectively blind, courtesy of your inherent greed and covetousness.
Nigeria is not for you ( or anyone else gor that matter except, of course, the fulanis) so I suggest you wake the phock up and smell the blasted coffee ; no matter how bad the country becomes, the fulanis will never give the ultimate power in the country, to an 8gbo man.
So, it's better you fight for your biafra... ...than One Nigeria with the faint hope of one day having an Igbo man in a.r..s.e.h.o.l.e Rock.. They are the most dishonest and self decieving people in the world. I always SMH for them anytime they dabble in issues. |

How many igbos did you see in other countries as lecturers in the sixties or holding administrative positions compared to Yorubas Just be fooling yourself Because of alliance of zik and the north, they used the opportunity to fix igbos in civil service all over the country and they want to claim they are more educated |
Politics › Re: Igbos Politics Vs Nigerian Politics, Samuel Akintola Echos Amhadu Bello by demmie1: 7:20am On May 19, 2023 |
AmehTsaev: All these paragraphs, yet you skipped your part of history where the same Akintola whom you extol for his infamous "Yoruba ronu" diatribe and speech against the Igbos also caused the fracas and anarchy that not only sent Awolowo (his fellow Yorubaman) to jail on grounds of treason, but was also responsible for inciting his faction of Action Group to unleash anarchy in the Western region, the "operation wetie" where political opponents doused each other and other tribes with raw acid can't be forgotten in your own version of history right? Akintola and Awolowo were both responsible for the first act of political turmoil that destroyed the peace of the First republic. How come the "Yoruba ronu" rants of Akintola didn't suffice when he stabbed Awolowo in the back and brought instability to his region.
Stupid revisionist monkey. Igbos simply dominated the yorubaas in the Western region cause they outpaced you in education, a fact the British themselves acknowledged. How can ibo outpace Yoruba in education when it was Yoruba that lead the team that translated English to Igbo? Yoruba have been educated before igbos were even discovered. How many igbos did you see in other countries as lecturers in the sixties or holding administrative positions compared to Yorubas Just be fooling yourself |
