What passport you use to apply for ur child copr ,confirmation of resident paper with thr child photo on it should state the nationality and l hope ur child has COPR? Becos even america apply for canadian permanent resident like every other nationality and only different is when passport send to embassy ,they only get COPR and no visa inside passport. But they also are require to pass the medical test and pay same fee unless ur child just going to canada as a visitor not permanent resident

At canada point of entry..your cor must match ur passpprt stated on COPR becos ur date of arrive will be stamp in every passport that apply for PR ,BUT at nigeria airport ..how can you depart nigeria with an american passport with no nigeria visa ,atleast american require visa to nigeria,am sure ur child arrive nigeria with a nigeria paszport or a nigeria visa or visa on arrival after birth and if u claim dual citizen then you need to show ur nigeria passport or the law see you as an american tbat overstay in nigeria if u arrive before as an american amd still no nigeria passport on departure.

At canada port you will have no issue as an american passport holder ,becos it either you enter as an american on visa free to canada as as a tourist FOR 6 month maximum or a PR if you have COPR ..so either way the child will enter canada.worry more about the nigeria airport.

Thank you ! you got me confused when you said at the nigerian airport, if the child doesn’t have a nigerian passport, then they’d be viewed as an American that overstayed.
Do i really need that nigerian passport to show them proof of dual citizenship? in my city, only 5years validity passport is available and we aren’t coming back in the next 5years.. so if i’m not using it at the airport then it’s a waste. Hence my question.
ps - Yes the American citizen also has copr

Guys abeg if my kid has a US passport with no nigerian passport … would it be a problem at the airport when we are leaving to canada as Permanent residents ?

you want to create payslips for a job of 10 years ago And you think they wont notice its new Submit what ever you have like id card , offer letter or any record of you the company has. And explain you were paid in cash back then

They won’t notice it’s new how some organizations have their payslips generated from a portal not given by hand … so if i print out from 2011 it will be new.

When two divorcees get married and they both have children from former marriages how can they go about the PR process.
The woman has done her WES and ielts and everything and it’s in her former husband’s name …
Her surname is like jay-paul … With Jay being her own father’s name and Paul being the former husband’s name.
Now she’s about to get married to a DIVORCEE… can the marriage certificate suffice? because she cannot do a change of name now seeing that her WES and IELTS and TEF is in the Jay-paul name… can she carry on with that name even though now married to someone else and they intend to do PR together..
They have 5 kids between them… 3 from the man in his previous marriage and 2 from her from her previous marriage …
The lady was already processing her relocation… she has TEF and WES and IELTS
The intend to get married in two months time and enter the pool together as a family of 7.
My question is - Will the marriage certificate suffice since she cannot change her name again…
Both of them will submit divorce papers and custody papers as well..

i tried it didn’t work. first time i booked, i was the primary applicant … and then i cancelled.
now i’m trying to book because my husband is not the primary applicant… once i’ve inputted his details no issue but when i’m about to input mine as his dependent, it keeps saying i already have an existing booking and i need to contact them. and all their numbers don’t work!!! sigh ..

Please who has used IOM twice for Medicals? How did u go about it? Last year I booked Medicals cause I thought I’d get ITA and it never came and I never used the slot or pay for the Medicals. This year my spouse is the PA and We’re trying to book Medicals but wen it gets to inputting my own details, it says “an appointment already exists for this applicant”:.. I have cancelled the appointment from last year and I’m still not able to book afresh. Please who knows what I can do? A friend who also did Medicals with them last year is having same issue when trying to rebook.

You are ok, so long as you have WE that is 1 year continuous minimum that all your WE meets the IRCC requirements of pay, hours, NOC etc.

The 3 years do not have to be continuous in the same NOC or same employer. Pls page 1.

They are different NOCs but both under NOC B

Or months don’t count? Or does it have to be continuous? Someone please help clarify.

Even if we know sometimes some people have their ways around these things, it’s not to be mentioned in a public forum. Not a good outlook on us as Nigerians. It’d be nice if you take that down

When they company is writing the reference letter are they to indicate 10years or 1year work experience

Hi everyone, please a friend is having a challenge and would like to seek help on how to handle it…

He had earlier evaluated his masters degree (as per evaluating the highest degree)…
In these days of going the PNP route, he discovered he’d be eligible for OINP if he removed his masters and used only his bsc.
He went ahead to request for his transcript and evaluated his Bsc …
Now the problem is in the recent WES evaluation for his Bsc, they also included his masters which he had evaluated before. He contacted them to ask if they could remove the masters and show only the BSc and they said they couldn’t.

Please what should can he do?

I don’t know why some of you treat the matter of your profile with so much laxity. You know ur profile is about to expire why not withdraw it and create a new one immediately. That’s how my friend missed the oinp draw that was just done. Now this other person is coming to ask “what do I do” … didn’t you know your profile was soon going to expire And u left it. When you want something in life, you stay sharp and be ready to grab any opportunity. May God help us not to miss opportunities

Guys please if someone has work experience in a particular noc from 3yrs ago eg 2233(and they got another noc in the same company after 3years eg 2189)…. And dt former noc 2233 is in demand for PNP .. can they use 2233 to get PNP even though it’s not their current noc ?

In this era of people reducing scores to target PNP .. is it okay to reduce scores to 2yrs even if u hv 3 or more in the same company and Noc…. Which is also the present job the person is working .,. Is it going to be seen as misrepresentation when u’ve worked for a company for about 10yrs and u put two years instead.
At the point of submitting application the company is going to write 10yrs in their reference letter .

Just read what IRCC requires from their website so you don’t have to keep asking and asking … google POF IRCC and their page will pop up

I think you and partner have to critically analyze the situation and make the best decision as it is not a yes or no situation.

Some people who needed to travel urgently have traveled to Accra to get their passport stamped in about 1week following which they landed in Canada.

You can still travel if you get your doctors clearance however it depends on you if you are ready to make the journey as it might be uncomfortable for you.

Furthermore,if you choose to stay consider the time frame for adding your baby to PPR again can take more than 9months due to forces beyond your control as listed below
1. Getting NIN for your baby (1-3months)
2.Getting your baby passport (1-3months)
3.Getting re medicals for your family as your medicals could be expiring or close to and getting a date might be hectic (2-3month)
4.Delays from IRCC with adding your baby(1-9months)
5.Eventual getting a fresh Ppr.

There is no right or wrong answer just consider all the variables and make a decision
