Good morning people... Please Is it possible to change NOC before ITA ...with the recent NOC changes my NOC might be downgraded to C level. Can I change it now? Will it be any problems in the future? The two job descriptions are actually like .. just dt one is more experienced. My actual NOC is executive assistant but I opted to use admin assistant cos the requirements looked simpler.. But someone said the most important thing is what’s on my reference letter. Is this correct ? |

GraciousWords: 1. Can he ditch the agency already! 2. Not sure what grid he used but none of the age ranges has a difference of 3 points for SINP. Would his score drop to 73 or 72? 3. It may be safest for him to just ask SINP.......contact details on their website and below 4. He could correct his EOI profile and wait for another SINP draw...no draw in the 70s since May 2021 though 5. If he is convinced even with his correct age he would have been chosen given the cut off of 73 and his NOC being in the list of selected NOCs and he wants to take the risk he can apply and explain the error on the SINP profile and how he would have qualified regardless. It would be up to SINPto decide whether incorrect age in EOI profile is a minor (he goes through) or major issue (he gets rejected). If it was an FSW ITA, I suspect an LOE could work so long as the CRS with correct age is still at or above the draw CRS, not sure how it works with PNPs. Thank you so much for a response. The matter is actually a little more complicated than I thought... his initial score was 74, with the right age, it goes to 72... But now his number of experience has increased by 1 year which adds one point to his score and takes it back to 73. He has decided to decline. Although he wrote to SINP and this was their response

Good evening people please I need advice. A friend was given invitation to apply for Saskatchewan PNP.
The agency handling his application made a mistake with his age and that bumped up his score to 76 on the Saskatchewan accessibility grid. With his real age, his score is 73. The last invitation had a cut off of 73. Please should he go ahead and apply since even with his real age, he meets the cut-off. |

GraciousWords: I'm tempted to say they can never expropriate your dollars...but you never know.
If you are very worried try opening a bank account offshore, maybe in Canada since that's where you're going anyway OR withdraw your cash and keep in a safety deposit box at a bank. Tried the account thingy. It’s impossible to open a canadian account without being present. Even the ghana one has some bottlenecks. If it’s in a SDB how do u show ur money to the VO. Seriously just praying they don’t tamper. Cos with this country, one can never be too sure. They shot at people sitting down waving the Nigerian flag. Sigh |

My people I’m so worried about the current issue with FX in the country. We struggled to convert our POF to usd for preservation sake .. now the Nigerian government is moving funny with dollar transactions. Hope when it’s time to collect our monies we won’t hear stories. Does anyone else know where we can save our dollars for POf purposes because me I’m tired.

ednut1: there are situations like a friend of mine who has 25 siblings but 5 from his mother. Can he list the 25 siblings When he does not have relationship with some or know where they are. What if i only found out about a step sibling after I came to Canada, is that misrepresentation . They can still try with a detailed LOE and evidences. Thank you |

Question please... a friend of mine has a step-sibling in Canada. The sibling didn’t Include my friend as her sibling during her application process. But is now offering to give my friend whatever document she needs to claim that they are step siblings. Please Is this acceptable ? The fact that she didn’t mention her as a sibling in her original application.. does it make it impossible for them to claim sibling point now? |

GraciousWords: If it is a significant proportion of your POF and not obviously accrued from your salary over the years, then a VO may want to know where it's from.
Is it paid by your employer? If so, they shouldn't have an issue giving you something.....maybe a payment slip or certificate saying "payment for project completion" OR "travel/training allowance".
LOEs are ok, but what will you do if the VO asks for documentary evidence of what you have written in your LOE? It’s not paid by my employer. All from contractors whose projects are on-going or completed. It’s just given by hand. The only evidence I have is a memo stating I’m part of the project, or that I’m the project supervisor... some of the memos contain the budget for the project, (which will include training the staff which is us) some of them don’t hv d budget written on them. If it’s going to be an issue, I think I’d just raise a gift deed. Cos I really don’t know how to explain this. |

sweetoma: Please house any answers on this ? Please don’t touch it. You could be asked for an updated pof proof mid-application and wen u print ur statement and they notice it’s been tampered with, it could lead to rejection. On Ircc website it says “you should have this money when you apply and when you land in Canada” Your application isn’t done. So you shudnt touch it. |

Guys I have a question that keeps me up at night.. please help. Regarding POF, I work in a place where some monies are given by hand... eg after a training in Nigeria or probably abroad, we could get an envelope paid in dollars for the training. Or “thanks for coming” kind of envelope when a project has been completed. If I go ahead and pay this sum into my dom account .. how do I explain to IRCC. Will showing a document from work stating the completed project suffice? Or will showing a memo for the training suffice? In the office documents, it’s not stated that we’d be paid any money... will writing an LOE suffice? Please help. |

sweetoma: Hello house, please I have a question. I am the primary applicant on our EE Profile, waiting for FSW Draws, I would like to know, should I leave the section on spouse's work history blank or fill it in? seeing as we aren't claiming points for it and my husband is a self employed contractor, getting pay slips, tax details and work documents for him will be very stressful. If I fill in his information in work history on the EE profile. Will I be asked for documentation concerning his work history post- ITA? if I leave it blank in the profile now will it stop us from getting ITA ? Thanks in advance for your help.. People have adviced that it’s best to leave Spouse’s work experience blank! As it adds no point to your scores anyway. It should be added to personal history after ITA . Someone correct me if I’m wrong biko |

Dimple10: Yes they do that every year at the start of the year (Jan) however they didn’t do so this year January cos they had no intention of doing FSW draws cos of Covid. They just updated it this month clearly because they intend to recommence.
The bolded part of your statement is where the assumption comes in. how sure are you that POF wasn't increased for the said reason? E don do. A girl is allowed to be positive and hopeful. |

Secondly, if I create a profule now and provide ECA & IELTS but no draw till my next birthday, will I lose point due to age? 1) Yes your school can send an electronic copy of your transcript to WES via ETX. 2)If you’re turning 30, regardless of entering the pool or not, u’d lose points. 29 and below, you won’t |

amaya21: It is not a problem but ensure you can get a reference (and possibly any other accompanying proof) for any job you list pre-ITA. Don't list anything you can't get documentation for.
The reason most people stick with 1 or 2 (if they have up to 3 years in an eligible NOC) is that it's less hassle to deal with documentation for just 1 or 2. Thanks a lot |

Please When filling the EE profile. Is it okay to list out all job experiences even if U’re not claiming points for them? I’ve seen some people here say to only fill the job u’d be getting a reference for. And put the other experiences in personal history after ITA. If I fill in all job experiences is it a problem? MissMa01: I have been thinking about this but the problem I have with this plan is can you do a direct transfer from NGN to USD via your bank without withdrawing the cash and buying at parallel rate?
Anyway, perhaps one can explore dollar based mutual funds with the bank where POF is - maybe I should try this option. This is excellent. Open a dom account in the same bank where u have ur naira POF. The day u withdraw Ur naira , should be the same day aboki meets u in the bank for the exchange and u pay it into the DOM account same day. Just Incase u get ADR for POF it’d be very easy to explain |
