Islam › Re: Saudi-Arabia To Reduce Nigeria’s Hajj Slots by deols(f):
man, I doubt that you are a Muslim and even if you are, you are a very ignorant one, sorry to say.

what if some arabs are racists? Does it make Islam so?

are the arabs the ones to aportion your reward?

shouldnt you want to make it for Allah's sake?

Venchy: Upon all this Haji Wahala, Black people are still not regarded by the saudis as normal people but Slaves and what they called in Arab language "MISKIN" means poor like a beggar.

I am a muslim but I have come to realise you don't haveto visit this place of worship where you are not wanted and be treated like beggers

UK & US ccitizens are treated differently when it comes to Haj, and this is an Holy place where all human being should be the same but again class issues kicks in.

Majority of Nigerians are stack illiterate that, they do not ask questions as to why things are different but comes back home with Silly Gold or silver teeth to indicate their slavery tour where they wre been called Alhaji and Alhaja ...means STRANGER.

As a matter of fact Nigerians minds are not clean, they are full of evil, called the name of God constantly but cheat and Kills for money,

WHAT'S THE POINT as my 3.5yr old son ask me.
Islam › Re: Saudi-Arabia To Reduce Nigeria’s Hajj Slots by deols(f):
hegelian: the mosques doesnt belong to them. if we should tow religions line, all sacred places belong to the people of the faith, and its obvious that the kingdom govt have personalized the sacredness of the place determining who will come and who shouldnt
what do you mean by personalising? can't you see the benefit cited?

the number of pilgrims from within Saudi itself is to be reduced by 50%
Islam › Re: Saudi-Arabia To Reduce Nigeria’s Hajj Slots by deols(f):
kufre2010: Lord of mercy pls let ur mercy b surfficient for this poor country Nigeria. Soudi Arabia in the name of hajj are spinning money out of ignorant poor nations. Visa will cost N300,000 per person and Nigeria is alocated 76,000 slots. This means N300,000 multiply by 76,000= N22,800,000,000, Therefore Southi Arabia will make twenty two billion eight hundred million Naira this year from Nigeria selling visa. Then when the mosque is completed the allocation will return back to normal 95,000 slots. And it will be 95000 multiply with N300,000=N28,500,000,000(28 Billion 500 million naira is what Southi Arabia wil b making from Nigeria government. Oh God, in advance country govt. don't sponsor religious pilgrimage as religion is individual affairs. This money should b use to industrialise Nigeria 4 youth employment.
where in the world do you pay that much for visa?

some of you just post anyhow sha. Part of the money is spent on housing, transportation, feeding and smart local and foreign business (wo)men make their own money too.

Even if the Saudis make that much, it is no business of yours nor are we complaining. The satisfaction derived from having carried out one of the pillars of Islam is good enough.
Islam › Re: Saudi-Arabia To Reduce Nigeria’s Hajj Slots by deols(f): 11:11am On Jun 13, 2013
Ikengawo: if this is true, idk why the muslim world stands idle as the saudi family are allowed to control islam to this extent.
This is just a wealthy family that came to power through force, they're not clerics and shouldn't be seen are religious leaders. If they can't handle the influx of visitors make mecca an independent nation.
Whatever problem you have with the ruling family has nothing to do with the reduction of the hajj slots.

Read well and see that the cut is for everyone's benefit.
Islam › Re: Zakir Naik Live In Abuja by deols(f): 11:10am On Jun 13, 2013
what about the topic and who is giving the lecture on each day
Islam › Re: Saudi-Arabia To Reduce Nigeria’s Hajj Slots by deols(f): 11:04am On Jun 13, 2013
The topic is misleading. The cut is not limited to Nigeria.
Islam › Re: Saudi-Arabia To Reduce Nigeria’s Hajj Slots by deols(f): 11:02am On Jun 13, 2013
juman: Best practice is that all level of governments should not sponsor anybody to hajj. nigeria is a poor country.

Anybody that want to go for hajj should pay by himself.
I agree with you on this. The seats should be limited to hajj officials. The likes of Dokubo Asari should stop getting hajj seats. Political thugs(elewe omo was there during akala reign) should stop getting free seats.

Same should be applied to Jerusalem pilgrimage.

Hard working Muslims, using their own money should take the available slots.

onegig: Salam.nice thread...willing to volunteer. Although not in lagos as at now but I do make frequent stops there in a month which can be put to good use. You can drop the requirements needed of us or what sacrifices we are to make.. August is around the corner already and we need to hit the ground running. May Allah make this easy on us all amin.
here is one.

There are others in previous pages.

I dont agree with putting one person in charge and there is nothing wrong with you being one of them.

In fact, if I were you, I'd want yo know all that goes on in that committee.
Islam › Re: A Suggestion For Nairaland Muslims by deols(f): 4:33pm On Jun 12, 2013
do you want this other person to volunteer or you want to choose from the list of existing volunteers?
Islam › Re: A Suggestion For Nairaland Muslims by deols(f): 3:02pm On Jun 12, 2013
I actually don't understand what the problem is. The proposal is done.

What next.

someone has to take the lead/agree to be leading so everyone can listen to him/her undecided

some other people apart from Ify that you mentioned to be busy with tehn may have been notbusy all the while.

The number of people who have volunteered is quite large enough.
tbaba1234: I brought a suggestion and wrote a proposal already, the rest is to raise funds and implement. This can work if a few people are passionate about this. I can't make people passionate.

If i wanted to be the 'implementor', i would do something in private.

50calibre: What societal issues? How about unemployment, how about corruption, how about illiteracy, how about economy, how about electricity, how about green, how about infant mortality, how about poverty and hunger?

On a scale of importance, where does virginity come into that list?

My heart bleeds for Africa
so you dont think teenage pregnancy, abortions, baby factories, sexually transmitted infections are societal issues that need tackling?

Some others lie to revert for monetary gains.

its just rare and impossible for a women to be a chief in their village In Nigeria

women are given titles but not chiefs
it is very possible. A part of Northern Nigeria, previously ruled by Aminah of Zaria is still ruled by a woman.

Our society is patriachal but feeling this way is as alien as a UFO to me. If you feel this way, your thoughts, questioning, etc are understandable.
so what? did I talk of her being safe or in danger? I said she was a powerful woman.

and that is not islamic law. that is Bedouin tribal law adopted into islam.
it was in place because when the nomadic tribes moved around, during camel raids, the men might be killed or they might flee which leaves the women vulnerable at the hands of enemy raiders.
another reason is that during the dry season, men would have to go far and wide scouting for water which implied leaving women and children behind with livestock as it would be too cumbersome to take them along and fall prey to raiders.
You said she was a warrior. If at all anything is found about how powerful she was, it has to be related with the battle of uhud.

she wasnt a warrior at the battle but sent a slave to kill hamza(r.a)

It is not about the consideration. He said it as if you were leaving. Many people have doubts at one point or the other.
