I do have to wonder where the OP is and the kind of people she/he meets on the regular. I have been encountering hijab wearers for a long time and have some as colleagues never once have I asked such silly questions neither have I heard anyone ask them. My circle of influence may not contain such silliness, let everyone be happy with what they believe.
And I have to wonder whether you read the op at all or simply jumped to post a comment.

Go back and reread what I posted.
her words:

what does a child know about innocence in childhood? This is adult lingo.

a child is supposed to be innocent, but they (children) wouldnt understand what that is, much less use it in a sentence.

She also said her family ruined her dreams.

what dreams does an 11 year old have, or am i missing something? Dream?

that's again adult lingo.

i stand corrected if wrong, of course.

Doesnt mean I'm in support of child marriage either.
You are right. How can a child know the meaning to those?

tbaba1234: @bolded When you are emotionally invested with little kids, it is not that easy... What happens to the children?

At the end of the day, it might not be that bad.
I was referring to the case study above. The brother who got the double blessing. In his case, neither of the ladies was married to him.No children were involved. He married them at the same time.

tbaba1234: If Allah decrees that i have more than one wife that i certainly hope that they both get along most of the time and the children see themselves as siblings. My life span should be the better for it grin grin.

Right now, i don't think i would have more than one except in extreme circumstances.
Lol.

I was expecting answers like, I'd go for the first or the second lady deserves me better..lol

Hmmmn..as for me o, that story get as e be.

If I were lady no. 2, I'd be scared of sharing a man with his probably FIRST love. That's prolly d reason he agreed to marry her join lady no. 2.

As lady no. 1, pride no go let me. But at least I would have known not to do shakara again. But knowing what love fit do, maybe I'd try to have him back but never in a joined marriage.

So if he is bent on marrying lady no. 2, I'd simply walk.

Well, no one has to try this at home o.

it didn't go down well with the OP because he's a little bit wet behind the ears.... what's with the pretence when we all know more than 90% of the nigerian female youths are dating to get married?
I think they date in hope of getting married.

In a Muslims case, dating in the real sense of it would be wrong hence my request for friendship.

unless the original poster is less than 21, he should be prepared for any outcome....... it's not like she's dragging him to the altar next week.
But Op is psychologically not prepared. If she'd given him a little time, she would have realised that he is not ready and would have moved things at his pace. He wouldnt need to be jittery nor have a need to open a thread seeking others's opinion. The possibility of her keeping him would have increased.

Sissie: If I meet a guy and he ask for my wali phone number immediately, I won't answer him.
Imagine if all the guys that asked proposed to me/you decided to speak to wali first, hmmmmm.
I have to talk to him first and see if he makes the cut before he talks to wali oh.
Now you see my point.

Fact is anyone I take to my wali now is perceived to be the ONE by my wali(dad).

God knows I cant fit make that kind mistake grin

I dont waste time actually. I just dont want the early times being about how many kids. The kids arent the immediate matter nor is the wedding ceremony.

What he's got upstairs, What life he lives/wants to live, must be ironed out.If the first criteria are met, unto the next. If not, it is a bye bye.

Sissie: It doesn't mean you get married immediately, at times you just know that's someone you can spend your life with, call it intuition or something.
With time you get to know the person better and decide to go ahead or cut it off.

Yes you can know more about someone in just 4days.

I know people who are married and knew they wanted to marry their spouse the first day they met.

I have this friend who was scared of commitment, we use to make fun of him then and jokingly say his father/brothers need to marry a wife for him and just call him and tell him he's married. The first day he met his wife he told his friend he was going to marry her, we were all surprised when we saw his wedding IV.

Noting guarantees a successful marriage.
He told his friend. Did he tell her?

I am not saying it is wrong or that it cannot be successful. I just have a perception of how it would make me feel.

If I really like someone and dont want to lose him, I wont jump cos that might be the reason for the loss.

I'd take my time and be sure, first and I cant be sure in four days.

Four days arent enough for istikhara.
Four days sure aren't enough time to be done googling his name.
