tbaba1234: It depends.... The one rakat of witr can only be done once in the night. Hence if you did your witr after isha, you don't repeat it.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There cannot be no two Witrs in one night.” [Ahmed 1626, Nisai 1675, Abu Dawud 1439].
JazakAllahu Khair for the good work..May Allah grant you the best this Ramadan. I mentioned all that he would do in a night from between ishai and subh. |

This is soo unfortunate.
It gets clearer that this BH people can not be Muslims. Even if they claim to be, they definitely dont understand Islam.
If they do this in Ramadan, I doubt that they are Muslims |

olajide21: In the name of Allah, the Most beneficient, the most merciful. Asalam alaekum waramatullahi wabarakhatuhu. May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon our noble prophet Mohammad (SAW), his household, his companions and the rightly guided who follow his path till the day of judgement. Dear brothers and sisters in Allah's deen kindly give me your opinion on the following issue.
The last time i paid ZAKAT was in the month of Ramadhan in 2010 and ever since then i never had money or investment or the likes equal or greater than the nisab for a year period. Alhamdullilah, in December 2012, i was able to have more than the nisab in account, by december, 2013 the money (hopefully) would be zakatable after a year at hand. I love to pay the zakat before Ramadhan(july/August) runs out but the money wouldn't have reached the "hawl"(stipulated duration for zakatable items). Is it allowed or i must wait till the mandatory period of 12 months before paying zakkat on such money. Kindly advice and may Allah reward you as you do so....... Wa alaykum salam You answered your question already with the word, MANDATORY. The condition, one year must be met. Wa Allahu a'lam |

deols: Zakaat al fitr
While Zakaat al mal can be given at any part of the year, Zakaat al fitr is given at the end of ramadan and before or on the day of eid al fitr.
Significance IT is given to enable the poor have something to feast on. Eid al fitr is a day of celebration signifying the end of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and the month in which the obligatory fasting is done.
It also serves as a purification of our fast from vain speech and immoral acts just like the sajdah of correction(ba’di and qabli) purify our salaat.
What is given? Saa’ of food, particularly of foods uprooted from the soil. It is recommended that the staple food available in each area is what is provided.
What is allowed is in the form of grains, barley and its likes. Meat, fish eggs are not acceptable.
Money, clothes and other stuffs apart from what is stipulated by the prophet are NOT to be given as Zakatul fitr.
When?? To be given on the day of eid, just before the eid prayers is preferable. To give it after the eid prayers is considered charity(Sadaqah) rather than Zakaat. However, some companions of the prophet would give it two days before eid and that is permissible!
To whom?? Some scholars say it should be given only to those Allah commands to be given Zakaat al mal while others say it is meant for the poor only.
Obligatory on whom??
A Muslim who is able to pay it. Everyone pays on behalf of whom they take responsibility over. A man pays on behalf of his wife, children, poor parents(who cant pay on themselves), slaves, or other relatives under his care. If they can pay on themselves, it is better that they do. He doesn’t have to pay on a child who takes responsibility on himself or a maid whom he pays salary. If a child is born into the family before sunset on the last day of ramadan, it should be paid on his behalf, likewise if a man dies before sunset on the last day of ramadan, it must be paid from what he left or on his behalf.
How? A saa’(equivalent to four handfuls of an average built man) is paid on behalf of each person. A saa’ is approximately 3kg of rice. May He accept all our Ibaadah and accept us into jannatul firdaus!!!!!!!!!!! Amin. Do point out any error. Thanks |

Slaak: Am not bein sentimental in anyway nor am i delegitimizin d right of the ladies to propose. However, dis is JUST D CASE OF AS-IS. Men and women are not created as equals ( HE knows best). All things bein equal, women are more EMOTIONAL dan men. Over 90% of men dont giv a damn abt refusal yl over 90% of ladies will care (a personal survey though), hence my stance. Salam OMG! Over 90% of men dont care about refusal? Cm'on.. The people you are conversing with here are not kids. if Over 90% of women care about being rejected. I assume that is the reason only 2% of women would consider making the proposal; a very small fraction of the total who wouldn't CARE about being rejected. So should this 2%not go ahead because of the reaction of some 90% ?? |

usefaith: but in case one has a masjid inside one's compound, can such a person be doing the 'tikaf inside the masjid and be shuttling btw the masjid n d one's ows or it is strictly inside the masjid? Do people from outside pray in that mosque? I dont know much about how qualified your family mosque is. But if you would be shuttling, it is just as I explained above. It is like you having tahajjud and not itikaf(seclusion). But if your mosque is qualified (I need more learned people on that) you can get people to do whatever you want done for you while you STAY in the mosque. |
Islam › Re: I'tikaf(in the last ten days of Ramadan) by deols(f): 5:55pm On Jul 29, 2013 |
Paretomaster: Thanks sis, wat time should i start d Itikaf, cos i dnt want 2 miss d night of majesty. Sombody put me thru abeg. You can observe your normal, usual night prayers(tahajjud) and that would be good. But what is better is the itikaf which takes you out of your house. You can use a mosque where a large congregation prays the five daily prayer or a bigger mosque where jumuah prayers are said. The bigger the congregation, the better. Makka is the best place for i'tikaaf. Although it is called umrah(lesser hajj). Now my brother, I dont know your situation or where you are.I dont know exactly how to help you. If you can be prepared for i'tikaaf, the best is to start tonight until the day of eid. But if you cannot do that, you can stay in your house, wake up in the night and pray. Pray the 13 rakaah of tahajjud. Say the prayer of forgiveness posted above(several times) Say other adhkar Recite the quran And ask Allah for whatever you want. May Allah make it easy for you and everyone of us. Amin. |

Slaak: IMO, i bliv tbaba has said all dat are needed to be said. If it happens dat d feelin is comin fm d sista, she shld make her intention known bt not directly. Mayb thru a third party or smtin. This is neither to put her boldness into question or smtin nor to downgrade her in any manner bt just to absorb any unforseen shock/cushion effect as always used in economics Do women feel NO differently from how men feel it? Trying to make what is permissible not permissible, I will never agree with. Does Islam allow her to propose, YES.. #lobatan. How she feels the No and whether it shocks her or not shouldnt be a problem. Being sentimental about it, like you are presenting it is what makes many women shy from it. It is harder dying with the thought that 'he could have been yours' than hearing the no and moving on. |

Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: I asked the Messenger of Allah: ‘O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?’ He said: ‘Say: O Allah, You are pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.’ “(Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Tirmidhi). The transliteration of this Dua is “Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee”

BetaThings: Salaam Can you clarify the above? My opinion is that the mutakif wants to be in itkaf during laylatu qadar. If so, that night would have passed if he delays till the morning of 21st of Ramadan Eg For those who started fasting on Wed, today (Mon) is 20th of Ramadan and the first (21st ) of the last 10 nights within which laylatul qadar falls begins this evening I would believe that people who want to have 10 nights should start this evening before sunset rather than tomorrow (Tue) I know that Aisha reported that the Prophet (SAW) started after fajr, but majority of scholars assumed that he either entered the mosque in the morning of 20th or he started itkaf before sunset but did not enter the place of itkaf until after fajr
Allah knows best That is it. But I agree with what you said. since night comes before the day, it is better to go in before the fajr of the 21st. Wa alaykum salam. |

kwajahafiz: I eat one meal a day at noon day.....yea, plenty of water the rest of the day.....No eating or snacking till the next noon day meal....I tried doing the ramadan fast with a moslem friend just for the heck of it, but found that a lot of food intake is encouraged after sun down till sunset. I went back to my more austere regimen. I found out that there s very little fasting going on..the eating times are just switched thats all. night eating replaces day eating. Even as an obese person, no nutritionist would encourage eating a day. You may have to reconsider that. On the other things said, you've been well replied. Ramadan is beyond the non eating and drinking. Fasting is first, an obedience to Allah. |

tbaba1234: It is not just about awkwardness. The approach is vital. Personally, I would have no problem about a girl who makes the first move but I would certainly prefer an indirect approach. It saves both of us from fitnah particularly if I also fancy her.
Most guys do not mind getting the heads up if they are already set but many brothers would have a problem with a direct approach.
In the case where the man doesn't fancy her, rejection could be tough. He might invent a lie like 'I am not yet ready' just not to hurt feelings.
And yes, it does hurt to get rejected. No matter how prepared you are for an interview. It hurts when you fail to get a job, you really, really want.
Even when you know rejection is an option, it does not make it easier.
So review:
1. Protect man woman from fitnah, exploitation (particularly for the sister) and temptation.
2. Indirect softens the blow/embarassment of rejection and makes the girl retain her dignity.
3. The awkwardness of rejecting a sister who was able to build confidence to say something like that. It is not easy. If it is through a text message or a facebook chat, would all of these apply still? |
