You need to arm yourself with the procedure, which is applicable in both public and private sector. If you are suspected to have been involved in a questionable activity, the first step is suspension, pending thorough investigation. During the suspension, you are queried and allowed come forward and defend yourself. If your defense is found unsatisfactory, then necessary punishment will be meted out.

So there is nothing wrong here, the government is following laid down procedure
The same people call the president tyrant and dictator while at the same time asking him to arrest and lock people up without investigation, proof of guilt and due process.

Sometimes I wonder about their mental well-being.

I don't understand this APC government at all. Pastor Osinbanjo just err again in nation building. In as much as he feels Magi can continue in acting capacity, can't he see the larger picture of setting a bad judicial precedence of tolerating a process that could be abused deeply and wrongly cos the power balance of a democratic government is about to go useless here.

Can't Magu be replaced? Is he a God to their cause? That being the case, it shows so many hidden agendas of this government for them to be emphatic on one guy. If Obj could do without Ribadu and work with someone else, then Magu can be swapped. He is not the most honest and diligent man we have in this country.

By his comment, he just implied that The Executive can keep appointing at Acting Capacity any government official they so please without confirmation from the senate. That's is bad precedence for our struggling economy because that will lead to breakdown of law and order by the way the three arms of government.

APC, what you doing to this country isn't fair... and Osinbanjo, as a Pastor, you should know better. SMH for you .
The president can and keep re-appointing any public official simply because this is the president's constitutionally guaranteed privilege and allowance and this is why the so called lawmakers can not go to the judiciary to litigate the issue.

It's all about the constitution and not your emotions and sentiments.

Respect the constitution and the president's rights and privileges.

If you're too big for everyone on NL then why are you here. You're just egoscentric and arrogant, drunk on your ignorance that you in your false self believe think is knowledge. You're so consumed by your arrogance and ingnorance that you believe your own lies and you think everyone must also believe it unchecked. Anyone that doesn't is intelectually not up to you.

TRASH!

I wonder why you think so highly of yourself, that I'd type out a long text to reply you in a bid to convince you about something you're unable and unwilling to understand. What do I gain from that? If you don't get it, go f*ck yourself. I don't care what you believe or don't believe?

You're about as inconsequential as one of the 6,316 people who died in the last one hour.

Because you clearly do not understand what it means to be a fall guy for a big-wig and be in on it. It means you assume responsibility and tell alternate tales like appropriation by an ex-president when the notes were gotten under a new president.

When you can't understand something so simple, you become incapacitated to follow a logical line of thought.

So Mister, I don't give a flying f*ck whether you think I'm hallucinating and you're correct. Be by yourself and stay in your echo chamber. I've got nothing to gain from exchanging replies with you on NL. It's the least productive thing to do with my time.

LordAdam16:
You are just typing complete nonsense.

Oke is not part of the political struggle. He is retiring and has no stake in the government.

The Presidency doesn't want to axe Magu for any reason, even going as far as saying they'd go to the Supreme Court if the Senate insists. Oke is retiring in August. Osinbajo practically gave Magu his vote of confidence days before Magu's bust, so it makes no sense to do a 360 when they're keeping him for reasons that are not immediately apparent.

You should be asking why Lawal is being suspended when he had no direct involvement with the Oke case? And why it took the Oke case to prompt them to do an investigation on Lawal when he had been cleared in January and there were no pending investigations on Lawal. All of a sudden imaginary monies are being discovered without owners, then NIA's money is discovered, and next thing new evidence just surfaced about the SGF.

It is politics. For all your knowledge of chess, you are still too dumb because you are partisan.

In fact, let me not get deep, believe what you want. The opinion of a dumb person does not affect me in anyway.

-Lord
See silly and unintelligent rant. So, there is a cover up because Lawal's suspension didn't fit into your own layman schedule and time frame.

GEJ, Mr Oke and his wife are all yet to deny the allegations, but you layJoker on NL have all the info and deny on their behalf.

LordAdam16:
I wouldn't want to make a new post in politics section, but I'd make an exception here.

@SillyMods, Sarrki, and all you Zombies are very sick. Because Lawal who was being shamelessly celebrated has now being dropped. Same way if Magu is dropped, you folks would shamelessly say, better late than never.

Nigerians are also very gullible.

The talk that there are new evidences against the SGF is all a lie. Buhari is simply using the SGF as a peace offering for the Senate as part of the recent Executive-Legislature peace process. And it made sense to do this now because they were considering relieving a Southern head of service and wanted to appear balanced.

It's all about 2019. Buhari and APC will sacrifice anyone for 2019.

Because there is no way new evidence magically cropped up after Oke was implicated on a different issue.

As for the theory of a cover-up, that's plausible. If you want to cover up anything, using the NIA is the perfect blanket. It is an intelligence agency with secret units that millions of us don't know about. Oke retires in November. He was to start his leave of absence in August. That's like 4 months away. And there's no way they'd find dollars minted in 2016 in an apartment and claim it was appropriated in 2014/2015.

Oke CANNOT be arrested and tried. Only the Attorney-General, President/Vice President, and service chiefs have the security clearance to review his case file. Magu does not have that clearance. That's why EFCC is yet to release a press statement. And that's why Magu is not part of the committee to review his case.

So if you wanted to really cover up anything by a big-wig in the government, Oke is the perfect fall guy. The NIA will not say anything to the press since they're in on it, and the matter will die a natural death. While the money is re-wired to the rightful owner.

Recall that the money was immediately deposited with the CBN and Oke already wants to submit his leave of absence letter.

This has nothing to do with an anti-corruption war. If it was, Lawal would have been axed long before now. Buratai too, Kyari (with his higher 500m loot) et cetera. It's a game of politics plain and simple, and the more you look, the less you see. Any body's head would roll if a strong group (in this case, Saraki and his Senate) demands for it.

And Saraki and the Senate are the real winners here as they've humbled the Presidency, again. All he had to do was ask EFCC to name the owner of the loot, and the Presidency scampered for a reasonable response.

Even Sagay would be next if the Senate insists, since he can't seem to keep his leaking mouth shut and he has the same air of arrogance that Lawal and Magu have.

The big upsetting news leading to 2019 started with Ali Ndume's suspension. Expect more to come.

And expect zombies to have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks and months, accusing and counter-accusing, praising and shortly after expressing disappointment.

-Lord

South-West Obas Become Richer After Jonathan's Visits

President Goodluck Jonathan has made some traditional rulers in the South-West geopolitical zone millions of naira richer by raining heavy drops of dollars on them in order to get their support in the forthcoming general elections.

Following the postponement of the polls, the president relocated to the South-West, where he held a series of meetings with traditional rulers, groups and individuals.

According to analysts, South-West voters might determine the outcome of the presidential election. Therefore, the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party are making great efforts to win the votes of the people in the region.

The Punch has learnt that Jonathan and his team doled out various amounts of money in dollars to monarchs during his recent visits to the region. However, a few of the traditional rulers and chiefs refused to take the money. Reliable sources revealed that some traditional rulers received as much as $250,000 (N50m) each, while others were given $10,000 (N2.2m) each.

1. Last time I checked, Lagos and the coasts along the SS have functional seaports because they have what's called sea or ocean

2. Last time I checked, they don't have sea or ocean in the SE so exactly where are you suggesting the FG put the seaport?

Or you just want the FG to divert the ocean into the SE and put a seaport there for you?

I really don't get you people, all you care about is needless competition and me too me too syndrome.

That's why I said viable seapprt.

But I think its mental laziness on our part (especially our leaders)to think that only 1 seaport can be viable in a big country as ours

I know there's so much economics, environment and business that must be taken into consideration before a seaport is built. I recently heard that's what has been delaying Ibom ibaka deep seaport but they'll soon for all the i's and cross all the t's.

I'm for opening up of every single hamlet in this country to trade and commerce and one sure way of doing that is through transportation (Sea Port)
Governments don't build seaports, private entities does.

2 deep seaports are under construction in Lagos and they are both largely private.

Let your state governments make the case for seaports before investors and see where where it gets you.

The market place decides, not emotions, sentiments and tribal pride.

Lagos and the SW is the largest market in Nigeria so where is the sense in shipping to the SE or SS, then turn around and ship to Lagos. You've already added extra cost to your goods and services.
