Obviously and as previously exposed with DasukiGate, GEJ and his gang of thieves used many of our institutions to steal and divert funds. The NIA was used to loot and I honestly believe this is nothing new, it's been going on before GEJ and still going on after GEJ.
The dollars GEJ was sharing all over the country back in 2015 came from somewhere including the 2.5 billion NSA funds that went to the likes of Foyose, Obanikoro, Metuh, FFK and so on.
Even with his good intentions, PMB, his administration and crime fighting agencies are part of the problem there is lack of transparency. Fighting crime means you have to carry the public along, you have to disclose credible facts and outcomes about your crime fighting efforts.
All roads lead to GEJ. |

You think the entire Nobel prize committee was populated by Yorubas who influenced the process in favour of Soyinka? You think winning a Nobel prize is like one of your worthless chieftaincy titles that you give to armed robbers? (Osisikanwu the Abia armed robber was actually an Igbo chief)
Chinua Achebe's things fall apart is a book that accompanies good quality palmwine and bushmeat. There is nothing intellectual about that book. It's an easy read that paints Africa and Africans the way the whites want it.
Boy, go and read 'The Interpreters' by Wole Soyinka. If you read that book without food in your stomach, you can run mad. It opens all your brain cells blocked by Akpu.
As regards this argument, always remember that it is only someone who is down that tries to pull another down. If you think Soyinka's Nobel is fraudulent, you can borrow some worthless ultimatums from the Ohaneze and give it to the Nobel Prize committee. Nobel Prize is not awarded based on the popularity of a single book but on the depth of the writer's works. That is why popular best selling authors like Stephen King, Rowling and many others may never even be considered for the Nobel Prize.

Asking if Ambode is doing anything on that project means you are not a lagosian and you are totally ignorant about that project just like you are about the difference between a metro rail and railway be since work is still going on and if you navigate one end of the lagoon to the other like many lagosians do everyday, you won't miss construction workers working on the rail bridge over the lagoon to the marina. Why didn't the clueless on commission the project if it really was finished? 1. Fashola started and completed Lekki Ikoyi bridge in less than 3 years, but 2nd Nigeria bridge is still a marriage even after GEJ swore to build it or go into exile. 2. Lagos Metro rail is different from a common railway. 3. Lagos metro rail is part of other systems under construction at the same time from Metro rail tracks to 10 expressway, multiple stations, BRT access, metro bridge over the Lagos lagoon and the marina. If Nigeria break i dont think Oduduwa republic will recognize his military career, much more recognize his fat retirement pay or pension. It is therefore to his advantage to keep Nigeria one if he must continue to be a big bawler with free income from oil revenue. So someone like him should be looking for opportunities to investbin North, Central, South and particularly in East. porozhniy: So how does the Chinese investor gain in all these? Comparatively, it's cheaper to produce in China than Nigeria. Mr Zhang said he can hired five Ethiopians for the price of one Chinese worker.
That is why the company is building a 'light industrial city' shaped like a woman's shoe in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, he said.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3824617/Trump-factory-jobs-sent-China-never-come-back.html No, it's cheaper to produce in Nigeria and other African countries than in China. They not only get cheap labor, they also save on shipping to Europe and other places since Africa is closer to Europian markets than China. The same manufacturer is making and sending Ivanka Trupm's shoes to the US. |

China is obviously looking for cheap labor, granted they are going to create jobs in the process just like the same company did in Ethiopia, but the spent $250 million on a cluster of 80 factories and industrial park in Ethiopia so the $1.5 billion sounds way way off mark us usual with Nigerian journalism deceptive Nigerian politicians. |

I rank Amosun in ogun state above Ambode . Eye candy for the unenlightened like flyover and motor parks are no substitute for strategic thinking . When you see a typical Asian developing country , they govern in such a way to build up their local capacity . Even Pakistan where over 80% of the men are illiterates has built-up local capacity in the remaining 20%. This is why Pakistan build jets and nuclear weapons and Nigeria cannot make toothpicks . So, Lagos, a common state in Nigeria should be building jets and nuclear stations? Lagos is just a state in Nigeria so stop comparing Lagos with sovereign Nations with sovereign resources and long history. Please, be serious. |

Afam4eva: This would have made sense if states were not almost dependent on the federal government. if that was the case, most people who are there to steal will run away because they will not be getting monthly stipends from the federation account as is the case currently.
The case of lagos is a totally different one and you can agree with me. Lagos was built as a pan Nigerian city and so, it represents Nigeria economically. With it's almost 20 million population, multi national companies, small and medium size enterprises, there's no way any state can even think of comparing itself to lagos as far as IGR is concerned. The fact that lagos was earning just 500 million i because the machinery was not in place to generate incoome as it is now.
As for Fayose, i'm not making a case for him. He's your typical Nigerian governor who is average at best. But we seem to be judging him sing the Lagos and Akwa Ibom yardstick which is not fair. With the mothly allocation that states like Ekiti get monthly, the best they can do is to use it for overhead and other minor to average projects. You're definitely not going to be seeing the kind of projects you see in Lagos and Akwa Ibom there. It's just not going to happen. Maybe if Ekiti had a huge source of income.
Now, saying that osun is a runner up to lagos shows that you're either from osun or an APC fan or both. Osun has more money than Ekiti but doesn't have much to show for it just like 90% of the states in the country. If Aregbesola is a determined and focused leader accoring to you the it means the meanings of these words have changed. I did not judge Ekiti state by Lagos or any other state's standards, I specifically stated the man's incompetence, irresponsible ways of governing and lack of ideas to move the state forward. And saying Fayose is the typical or average Nigerian governor is a disservice and blemish on other trying state's in Lagos especially since other states are not lining their people up on the side of the road while dishing out cups of rice and stipends for internet show just to cover and distract from is failure and incompetence. Other state governors in Nigeria are not roaming around wasting time riding okada all over the place, showing off at this and that buka eating amala or obsessed with the president and federal issues with silly and ignorant rants every day. No, he's not like the average Nigerian governor. Again, if you are going to defend or make excuses for Fayose, at least show us any credible economic policies or actions he's taken since his first day in office. I don't have to belong to the APC to see what the man in Osun is doing and have done in terms of projects, initiatives, and infrastructures. Only Lagos state commissioned more projects than Osun state and I see Osun doing more or even better than Ambode with the kind of resources available in Lagos and we have records and facts to show. |

mabelly: And instead of all these other state indigen to hold their local and state governorments accountable they keep throwing stones to far Abuja, when their state houses are close to them.
Most times when I go out I see how Lagos is transforming and I am always filled with joy. From infractures, to job creation, to beautification (this one makes me really happy), health care, security abeg Lagos is good to go. In fact I won't be wrong to say Lagos is on auto pilot right now because every machineries are been put in place.
However, Lagos might not be able to accommodate the population drift if all other states do not developed their States at the same or close rate as logos. Incompetent and corrupt leaders and their ignorant subjects always excuses and diversions. There's always other people and the ever present FG to blame for their incompetence while their subjects hate and center their hate and bitterness against other states like Lagos. Just imagine, the FG and the PDP they cast their votes for refused to build their 2nd NB, but it took Fashola less than 3 years and only N29 billion to build Lekki Ikoyi bridge, but guess what, they hate Fashola, but praise their own useless leaders with nothing to show. It's a vicious circle between clueless subjects and their useless and incompetent leaders. |
