Don't mind them, if awarding a contract on paper like previous govts have done Nigeria would have bn a Dubai of Africa. There are some many projects awarded and abandoned by previous govts. It takes a committed and discipline heart of Buhari to continue some of the abandoned or awarded projects even thought I'm not one ofhis followers I gave him respect for that.
Imagine Bukola govt continue all Lawal's projects in Kwara state especially water his constituency will not be carrying bucket looking for water till today
They actually want us to start celebrating their looting and stealing project abandoning PDP uncles because they award contracts, loot the funds and abandon the same projects for decades.

Do you know what's sad about the looting and stealing PDP incompetence and handling of this project, GEJ stole $2.7 billion and gave it to DASUKI/ATM to share with his cronies like Fayose, FFK, Metuh and others, that $2.8 billion could have built 2, I mean 2 Lagos Ibadan Railway without borrowing 1 kobo from China.

Think about it.

GistFullGround:

If a contract wasn't awarded and signed and the contractors didn't move to the site, how then will there be groundbreaking?

Some Nigerians are too gullible because they reason with their anus

The contract for the 2,733km new Lagos-Kano rail was first awarded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2006 at a cost of $8.3bn to the Chinese company (CCECC) but could not be executed due to paucity of funds.
OBJ awarded the first contract in 2006 but abandoned the project because he refused to pay for the project

It was re-awarded to the same contractor by the Goodluck Jonathan administration in 2012 for execution in six phases, starting with the Lagos-Ibadan stretch.
GEJ rewarded the contract but as usual, he refused to start or follow through with financing and as usual per the PDP culture of abandoning projects, he abandoned the project even though he earned more money than the previous administrations and could have financed the project without borrowing from China.

The federal government and the CCECC in 2017 signed the contract for the construction of the Lagos-Ibadan and Calabar-Port Harcourt rail lines after the two parties agreed to cut down the total cost for the projects from $11.917bn to $11.117bn.

https://www.legit.ng/1147664-lagos-ibadan-rail-the-journey-far.html
The first contract was awarded by OBJ over 13 years ago, but the useless looting and stealing people did not lift a finger to start the project.

Fast forward to PMB, Amaechi renegotiated and rewarded the contract for lest that what the looting PDP negotiated, we broke ground and finished the project in less than 2 years.

Now, what contract are you talking about? The 13-year-old contract that was abandoned or the one Amaechi negotiated and awarded in2017.

You are wrong, this contract was awarded by PMB and started and completed by PMB.

The bottom line is that Buhari is known not to have the mental capacity to be able to envision any original project since the 80s and it has remained so till date ..Our point still remains that you show us an original capital project he envisioned
[/s]

Buhari lack mental capacity to put projects on the drawing board, also lack the mental capacity to loot the funds and abandon the project, but still able to complete all the projects the people with looting and abandoning capacity left behind.

At this stage in Nigeria, we actually prefer PMB's project starting and completing capacity, we don't want looting, stealing and project abandoning capacity.

Yorubas are known to have sense and they talk with wisdom and not otherwise, please watch you type Sir, I am not on your payroll.

Regards
I did not call you any name, I qualified your comments as backward and unintelligent and I stand by that comment because expecting Nigerians to appreciate and recognize thieves, unpatriotic and fraudulent elements just because they abandoned our projects after looting the funds while relegating the dedicated, people with sense of duty and guts to finish the projects in dire times and little funds was backward and unintelligent.

Stop celebrating thieves, stop celebrating incompetent people, stop celebrating unpatriotic elements because we lack so many things from basics to even stable electricity because of the same worthless elements people like you still want us to celebrate and recognize as worthy.

This is about Nigeria and the horrible mess the people you want us to celebrate left behind for us to deal with, not about politics.

Why mus we always come up with whatever little resources we have to complete decades old abandoned projects with looted funds, then turn around and celebrate the same crooks responsible for the mess? Why?

Stop shitting on our intelligence.

Btw, you can not tell me anything about Yoruba people, I'm Yoruba and I know all about Yoruba people standing on the right side or morality no matter what.

Oga, go and check again... Pls always check before you made assertions biko

Why is it that when we are reporting the works of APC lead govt, we are the good guys but when we did a fact check, we suddenly become PDP paid agents.

Pls, have an open mind, at the end, we all want the best for Nigeria, lets learn to be receptive to new ideas.
Open mind? Conflating decades of abandoned project with a project that was started from scratch in 2017 and completed in less than 2 years.

Is this your interpretation of open mind? You basically and intentionally confused yourself with your own lies and deception.

Btw, what new ideas do you want us to be receptive to? Ideas like lying and deceptive ideas where people like you fool Nigerians that abandoned projects are really not abandoned and we should praise the people responsible for abandoning the projects and looted the funds while relegating the dedicated and competent people with enough fortitude, foresight and love of country ?

Is this your so called warped idea of open mind? Is the culture of incompetence, corrupt behavior and unpatriotic ways you think we should applaud and appreciate?

This backward and unintelligent rubbish says a lot about you as a human being.

The government of President Buhari has completed the construction of the Nnamdi Azikiwe mausoleum which was started in 1996 but abandoned by previous governments for 22 year
Den lay foundation for 22 long years even though they accumulated $800 billion in earnings including looting is not corruption GEJ who accumulated the largest oil earnings in the history of Nigeria, but finally completed by PMB in less than 4 years...

...but the useless, lazy and incompetent looters want us to give them coke and fanta for thinking about the project decades ago

Some of you are just ignorant

See, what Osinbajo flagged off was the actual grading and laying of tracks.
Do you know the amount of work and effort undergone before this stage of grading and laying tracks?

Let me educate some of you. First, GEJ negotiated with China to have China Exim Bank and CCECC onboard these projects.
GEJ paid the required 15% counterparts fund while China is providing the remaining balance of 85%

The contractor CCECC started fabrications of Lagos - Ibadan rail tracks in China since 2013. Note that this process take years to
complete. Remember again that about same time, same CCECC were also hurrying to complete Abuja MetroLine and Abuja-Kaduna lines.

Now, the company is facing Lagos - Ibadan having completed the other lines. You can see that the project is very fast because CCECC
used the previous years to do fabrications of tracks in China, shipping them down to Nigeria in readiness for the project
[/s]

Typical crooked and corrupt ipob mentality rubbish.

Even worthless and incompetent looting and stealing GEJ won't approve your warped rubbish

Useless people always lay foundation for 30 years with nothing to show, but when it's completed by a serious and competent leader, they show up to tell us to clap for them because they put picture on drawing board 30 years ago

In that case, we should remove Buhari's name from the Lagos-Calabar (Port Harcourt-Calabar) rail which they claimed they have paid counterpart funds for but which work has not commenced till now, when the project eventually takes off and completed, right? As you can see, that project was signed with the Lagos-Ibadan one.

You don't have understanding. It is doubtful if you will see a single person in Nigeria who is not happy about Buhari continuing projects that he met instead of cancelling them like he did the Lagos Metroline initiated by Alhaji Jakande in the 1980s. If you see anyone who is not happy about this project, he or she must be on to something else.

Buhari's history about cancelling, stalling, abandoning projects is legendary, therefore, well meaning people should actually commend him for continuing some of these ones at this time.

The issue is you his worshippers trying to diminish other people's efforts in the same projects. It is something to try and worship your god for what you think he is doing for you, it is another thing to falsely ascribe to him or lump other people efforts with his magnanimity towards you without due credit.
Are you talking about the same Buhari who is currently busy completing all the projects our looting and stealing PDP uncles abandoned or another Buhari?

So, let us get this straight, the best way to get credit is to initiate, award contract, loot the funds and abandon the project, then show up later when it's completed by other people to say it is your project because you initiated the project.

See how mentally corrupt, warped and twisted some people like the OP are?

Now we know this crooked OP should never be allowed to manage any public office, he will simply loot funds and abandon like his PDP role models
