There's a difference between the destruction of public property and people fighting.

Keep quiet if you have nothing better to say.

So, you prefer the old and dirty sawmill in the middle of town in the state capital instead of the beautiful freedom park in the above picture the people of Osun, men women and children are enjoying today?

Freedom Park in Osogbo is an iconic landmark in Osogbo, it's a point of reference, a picnic, lovers, and family gathering point that should be respected, kept clean and serene for people to enjoy as intended. The place is always nice, green and well maintained by the government.

This is the kind of incompetent PDP mentality and the reason why they can not do anything to benefit the society apart from looting and fattening their own pockets.

These PDP jokers are wasting their time in Osun state because Argbesola and the APC have done so much to change and transform sun state from the old, underdeveloped and dusty Osun state with no infrastructures they left behind.

That other hideous pic was never taken during Oyinlola's administration. NEVER. Another lie. This APC making noise demolished that place.

Maybe it became a criminal hideout when Aregbesola demolished almost every business on major street (in hopes people would move to their so called intnl market - which NEVER took off since 8 yrs).

Everyone knows who brought criminals to Osun state too. Or which gov is gangster out of the APC / PDP govs.
Osun is ‘most peaceful state’ in Nigeria

Osun has been rated the most peaceful state in Nigeria, followed by Kogi, Ekiti Kwara and Imo states.

Ignorant and unintelligent ipob, you posted rubbish that says Afghanistan paid $175 million for 6 aircraft to prove that we paid too much for 12 aircraft and I showed you facts that another country paid 3 times more for the same 6 aircraft and the same amount we paid for 12 aircraft.

Shouldn't common sense tell you that cost can never be the same across the board? The final cost depends on whatever extras and options you demand, from guns/amount of rounds, number of bombs, missiles/brand, avionics, visions, sensors and radar/Per sophistications, parts and training, equipped hanger and maintenance facilities and so on.

Are we going to pay the same amount for the same kind of car even though I added custom tires, custom stereo systems, alarms and security systems, spoilers and custom leather trims to mine?

Why is this simple fact and concept so hard for you lazy thinkers to comprehend?

Some of you are just too ignorant and backward to be of any uses to any society.

Sierra Nevada Corporation could receive an order from Lebanon for six of its American-built A-29 Super Tucanos following the US government’s approval of a potential foreign military sale.

Nigeria bought 12 and paid the same amount Lebanon paid for just 6.

Bungalows are not the same, some cost N1 million, some cost N2 million, some cost N10 million, some cost N50 million and some cost Nbillions. Ask yourself why some cost more and some cost less.

authority2006:
Yeah, GEJ embraced corruption wholeheartedly, he gave it new face and new meaning. He even tried to play it down by differentiating between corruption and stealing.
GEJ asked for $2 billion for security and to fight Boko Haram and he took that money and gave it to DASUKI/ATM to share with his crooked and corrupt PDP cronies without any approval or impute by the Nigerian legislature and on top of that, the same legislature didn't see anything wrong with it so they looked the other way and asked no question.

PMB received approval by the Nigerian FEC to take $ 1billion for security and he took half of it to buy aircraft from the US, it was a government to government purchase, no middleman, no corruption or shady dealings. He also had to meet critical deadlines or the deal is off the table.

Now, the same incompetent and worthless Nigerian legislature that looked the other way when GEJ stole 4 times that amount without their approval or any kind of notification.

This is the same worthless and incompetent legislators are yet to approve the national budget which is creating uncertainties in the market and business world, delaying projects and government programmes all over the country and also affecting job creation.

Like I say all the time, the main enemies and the most unpatriotic people in Nigeria are the Nigerian lawmakers, they collect so much taxpayers money and we get almost nothing in return, they are nothing but parasites and the fact that PMB did not go through them is driving them crazy because they used to be part of the whole arms purchase looting schemes when they used to but obsolete, substandard and worthless military hardwares for our military like GEJ buying jets that can not drop bombs or even carry weapons and helicopters with wrong propellers that killed Nigerian pilots.

PMB did the right thing and I'm glad he made the transaction a government to government transaction and the US government openly confirmed payment and receipt and we are ultimately getting brand new 12 Tucanos with guns, bombs, missiles, avionics and so on.

I know PMB is a good man and he's trying his best to explain himself and calm the legislative clowns, but I don't really think they deserve any acknowledgment.

I understand the fact that the opposition must play the opposition game, but opposition in Nigeria since 2015 remains a sad and pathetic joke, their opposition and views are always based on ignorance, deception, lies and unpatriotic sentiments.

PMB's US visit was more than successful because we achieved every objective on the table and on top of that, we getting our half a billion dollars OBJ and his PDP crooks looted and shipped to the US and the fact that they are not going to lay their hands on the money is driving them crazy.

Gone are the days when crooks, corrupt government officials and unpatriotic elements buy weapons for us from bazaars, pawn shops and auctions and we end up with jets without weapon racks, helicopters with wrong and broken propellers that killed our pilots.

Thanks to PMB, we are getting our money's worth through government to government original and brand new weapons purchase, no more DASUKI/ATM weapons funds looting which is troubling the PDP looters.

They can fight back till they vomit blood, we are not going back to their crooked, corrupt and unpatriotic ways.

There's a new SHERIF in TOWN and his name is PMB, the commander in chief of the federal republic of Nigeria.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Wheeled into court on a stretcher, James Woods, 37, also known as Wathaniel L. Woods, was alert when he faced a judge as his charges were read on Monday.

Woods is charged with murder of a police officer, assault, fleeing police, trafficking in controlled substance, wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, DUI, operating on a suspended operators license and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection to a crash on Tuesday that led to the death of a Louisville Metro Police Department officer

The Lagos IGR should be more than the said amount. However, the Lagos seaports is a major pivotal point to the daily progression of the state.

Any day a proactive government decide to fix the Warri, Port Harcourt and Calabar seaports to same full operational capacity, the Lagos IGR will drastically reduce and population will also decrease due to movement of people out of Lagos to other seaport state

The US Federal Register revealed Nigeria has requested Paveway II and Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) laser-guidance kits and ammunition. It lists these items as “major defence equipment” valued at $29 million, while the “other” component of the deal, for the Super Tucanos, sensors, training and support, is valued at $564 million.

The weapons and ammunition includes 100 GBU-12 (500 lb) Paveway II Tailkits; 100 GBU-58 (250 lb) Paveway II Tailkits; 400 Laser Guided Rockets including Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) rounds; 2 000 MK-81 (250 lb) bombs; 5 000 2.75 inch (70 mm) Hydra 70 unguided rockets; 1 000 2.75 inch Hydra 70 unguided rockets (practice); and 20 000 rounds of .50 calibre machinegun ammunition.
What we requested and what we are getting.

Lebanon is also looking to double the LAF capabilities by procuring six additional A-29 aircraft, Commander of the Lebanese Air Force Brig. Gen. P.S.C Ziad ‎Haykal disclosed during the ceremony.

The A-29B will be equipped with the 12.7mm (.50-caliber) M3M machine gun, LM 70/7-SF-M9 MK2 multiple launcher (70mm), MK81/82 bombs and GBU-12/GBU-58 laser-guided bombs. The LAF will also likely equip the MK81 bomb with a guidance kit to “make it a smart bomb,” according to a military source.

The Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) from BAE Systems is expected to be delivered in May 2018 and supplied on the remaining four aircraft to the LAF, said Haykal.
What Lebanon is getting.

Obviously, we asked for more and we are getting more than Lebanon.

My initial response was actually made in response to another poster's direct comment. sad Prior to that, someone had posted a screenshot of the cost of a Tucano jet, showing that it costs about $9 million to $14 million USD, per plane. This just threw up a lot of questions, when compared with the total amount that Nigeria was reported to have spent on the jets. Hope this clarifies the issue.
lol..

Hence why I asked if ipobs stole your handle because ipobs have been running around NL with that basic and elementary wikipedia conclusion. We both know the basic unit cost is just normally the beginning because it's never the final figures after options and specs requirements are added.

I know you are a quality and intelligent poster, but still shocked at your innitial and subsequent comments.

Going by the specs and what we asked the US for according to the US government, we are getting way more than other countries are getting, our options are very comprehensive and well thought out.

The fact that this is a government to government deal means there's little room for any kind of shady moves.

You don't expect a 55% increase in IGR to sell as a good justification for a debt that will increase capital expenditure by over 500%.

That's if we pretend the increase in IGR is directly influenced by projects the debt funded. You will agree with me that the increase in IGR was largely down to blockage of old leakages.
This is just a reflection of your own ignorance and cluelessness about debt.

When government take out debts to build infrastructures, it's always to create jobs, generate investments and ultimately, boost the IGR and according to available data and documented records, the debts created jobs, created educated manpower, boosted investments and massively increased the IGR which is needed to pay and service debts and build more infrastructures and create government social programs.

We don't even have to keep arguing or lecturing you ipobs all the time because the positive results for the debts are out their in black and white.

1. Osun is the 2nd state in Nigeria with the lowest unemployment rate, what position is your village?

2. Osun ranks 2nd in human capital ( human capital is defined as the skills, knowledge, and experience possessed by an individual or population, viewed in terms of their value or cost to an organisation or country. These are what actually facilitate or constrain the development of any organisation, state or nation) , what position is your village?

3. Osun ranks 2nd less miserable and poverty-ridden state Nigeria, what position is your village?

4. Osun is the 2nd richest state in Nigeria, what position is your village?

5. Osun is the most peaceful and secured state in Nigeria, what position is your village?

Do you know one of the reasons why they have the lowest poverty rate in Nigeria.

Look at the school feeding program, they feed tens of thousands of school children 5 days a week, it means 15,000 whole chickens, 254,000 eggs, 35 heads of cattle and 400 tonnes of catfish are purchased weekly from farmers and food vendors..

That's thousands of jobs from farmers, transports, cooperatives, food vendors, cooks and a lot of IGR moving within the local economy and into government accounts.

34% IGR increase did not happen by accident, it's because of wise, smart and strategic government policies, a text book effect of smart borrowing.
