www.nairaland.com/attachments/5535356_cracks1_jpeg1d491ab30bff0af18de8dcc8ac3d8287Funny how the usual hate mingers, bitter and jealous people making noise and spewing their usual negativity in this thread are forever silent about the absurdity and shameful abomination they call flyover in their village. !. This rubbish thing they call flyover in anambra was never built to serve any purpose like traffic decongestion or management since as you all can see, it's not a busy thoroughfare and there are little no serious businesses around to necessitate the flyover. 2. Bridges are built to last for 30 years or more, but this substandard and poorly built bridge in anambra started crumbling just after 1 year of service. 3. And instead of hiring structural engineers that they obviously did not hire in the first place before construction to address the structural damage and recommend a sane and lasting solution, they hired bricklayers to patch and cover the cracks with cement. 4. Many bitter, angry and negative people in this thread forming internet engineers with so much to say are from anambra or that part of the country, but you will never see or hear they utter a single word about that eyesore and shameful project in anambra, but when you post better and quality projects in other places, they are always the first posters on the scene offering their ignorant, negative, bitter, angry and pointless opinions. 5. Sadly for them, their own states and villages have not and can not even commission anything meaningful or embark on any serious projects and the ones they built are worthless, shameful and substandard rubbish. 6. Why not spend some time worrying about and speaking up against the lousy death traps they call flyover in their villages, the backward and representation in their states. |
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DXINOB1XkAA5W_x.jpg They are doing great things in Kano for sure. These are solid first projects |
plainol:https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DYe8nTCXUAQVNwr.jpg This has nothing to do with engineering, this is about traffic and vehicular management designed to sole obvious traffic conditions and you don't have to be an engineer to see or figure out why and the reason for the bridge. The above picture shows huge commercial and business activities in that general area which obviously means heavy traffic and gridlock from all directions, but some of that traffic or folks using that thoroughfare are obviously not going to that market or business area, they are heading to other parts of the city, so there's no reason for them to participate or contribute to the market gridlock, the only traffic management solution is to provide the flyover alternative for other road users to go on to their different destinations without being subjected to the gridlock and market crowd situation below, they basically don't have to drive through that marker or contribute to the obvious gridlock in that are. This is a perfect traffic management solution and what flyovers are designed to do. |

divineappo:Go back to the first page and read gently. |
divineappo:1. The statement did not legislate OR arrogate anything special to AB, they basically mentioned AB in the context per Alpha Beta or any other designated person (s) or corporate body, who has the responsibility of monitoring the incoming revenues of the state through the collecting banks shall provide a report to the Accountant-General of the state. They are talking about any entity and in the process mentioned AB simply because they are already doing business with AB. 2. If you are going to opine that AB is Tinubu's company, you should be able to show us proof of ownership. Stop peddling gossips as facts. |
7lives:Sadly for them, their own states from Abia and beyond also hired AB and effectively are on AB's payroll., but are they crucifying their own states for hiring AB or if I should say, giving Tinubu their money? Their issue is strictly hate/bitterness. |
Back to topic. I know Lagos state's IGR was nothing before AB and I honestly think AB is doing a great job because the States IGR today is still breaking records hence other States hiring them to perform the same magic, but not disclosing the terms of the contract and exactly what job they are doing gives bad optics. I don't care for Ambode, I never did. I think he's very incompetent, he's way in over his head and definitely can not wear Fashola's big shoes. |
kapasi89:Yes he did and I apologize. I just captured the screen. See the difference between my caoture and yours.? Your capture looks fake .

kapasi89:I was on his FB page and it didn't reflect the lies you posted. And his name is Omoyele Sowore, not the other way around.

The same Alpha Beta is providing the same services in other states from Abia to Akwa Ibom and beyond. Have you screamed and yelled at your own governors for hiring and paying AB for the same thing they are doing in Lagos? I bet many of you don't even know AB is active in your states. http://www.alpha-beta.net/Home/Client

jumobi1:Being happy and needless tribalism and insulting other people are definitely not the same. |
Many state governors pad their staff strength aka ghost workers just to loot under the radar, but it's still always hard to go by workers and wage bill because some states have more workers and paying less while some have less workers and paying more. Some states are strictly salary/government workers only state so they spend more on workers. [b]Rivers/25,555 workers= N8.4 billion/month Now, look at Lagos with 60,000 workers. Lagos/60,000 workers = N7 billion/month Lagos state has almost 3 times the number of workers than Rivers state, but the Wage Bill in Lagos is almost N2 billion less than Rivers state. Obviously, WIKE is either clueless or part of the wage padding scheme in his state. |
kettykin:Nigerians from every corner of Nigeria have occupied many and even more prestigious global positions like the President of the World Court/International Court of Justice, so what's the big deal here, especially the tribal coloration. Just be happy for the man instead of the needless and predictable chest-beating. |
