Chai, U just make me weak.... I will tell U something here, Lagos is what it is today because of one major reason. It was one time D capital of Nigeria. Just like Abuja is just fine & developed with oil money that same way Lagos was developed with oil money. If U think I'm wrong tell your people to make Ibadan, and Ekiti the next Lagos.
1. The FG picked Lagos state as the FC because Lagos was already developed before Nigeria as a country and independence.

2. Lagos as the FC was limited to Lagos island and the mainland was Western Region

3. Industries developed Lagos before oil and before independence.

4. The industries were and are still today on the mainland

5. The industrial estates that made Lagos state and responsible for overall Nigerian industrial capacity were build by the Western Region government led by Awolowo from Apapa industrial estate to Matori, Mushin, Ilupeju and Ikeja industrial estates and hey were all built with cocoa and rubber money, not oil money.

6. Oil money did not build the 1st skyscraper, 1st TV station, 1st stadia in Nigeria, cocoa and rubber money did.

7. The FG left Lagos decades ago and you people are still talking about a FC when in fact Lagos state have moved forward since, they've had many governors with vision, they built many many times more than the ordinary bridge, seaport or airport you people cry about all the time.

8. Fashola alone built more infrastructures in Lagos state than what the FG built in the whole of Nigeria within the same period.

9. While you and your leaders in the SE and the FDG cry and fight over 2nd NB for 30 years, Fashola built the best bridge in Nigeria aka Lekki Ikoyi bridge in less than 3 years.

10. What was the economy in Lagos like when the FG was in Lagos for just a few years compared to today?

11. Within Fashola's 8 years alone, the IGR grew from measly N500 million to N23 billion/month, double more than what many states in Nigeria generate in a year.

12. The leadership, vision and foresight in the SW before independence and after till today are the reason why Lagos state is what it is today, the good and capable leadership you don't have in the SE. Your leaders in the SE can not even collectively build common 2nd NB after 30 years of begging, but Fashola alone built many bridges while your leaders are siting on their hands, begging and crying and moaning marginalization.

13. What were your village leaders doing when Fashola lobbied Dangote to invest $15 billion refinery in Lagos? No, you were abusing, insulting Fashola and shouting corruption, but Fashola and lagosians are getting the last laugh while you keep crying, begging, abusing and insulting other people.

The investments of Dangote, Abdulsamad Rabiu and T.Y Danjuma dwarf the investments of Igbo's in Lagos and I have never seen a northerner shouting they own 50% (abi na 85%) of the economy of Lagos or declaring that Lagos has become a no man's Land.
On top of that, Dangote dropped $15 billion investment in Lagos. He's building the largest single refinery in the world, the largest fertilizer plant in Africa, largest petrochemical plant in Africa and the Largest gas plant in Africa. We are talking about the largest private investment in Africa and the man goes about his business like a matured ans sensible adults, but not these empty and shallow chest beating villagers, let them build a little 4 x 4 kiosk somewhere and before you know, they'd start beating chest that they are the riches and they own everything.

These are antisocial people with serious low self esteem and insecurity issues.

And talking about Dangote refinery, the sky is the limit for Lagos state, their N30 billion/month IGR today go look like small change when the bucks starts rolling in less than 2 years from now. grin grin

The only bridge built before independence linking mainland to the island was the carter bridge built by the British in 1901 then dismantled after independence and rebuilt with oil money in the late 70s grin grin

The eko bridge was built by gowon with oil money grin

Murtala Muhammed Airport was built with oil money grin grin

Emmm smallie...the Niger bridge was built in 1965 when Nigeria was still an agrarian economy grin try harder next time

Murtala Muhammed Airport na oyel money. No come show me pedestrian bridge wey ambode commission. Show me one game changing thing that you built by yourselves huh

Do you know that Egbema in Imo state has a large rich oilfield but Imo airport was built through crowd funding (personal donations) in the second republic under Sam Mbakwe??

We no be mate oooo grin

Cater bridge or not, Lagos was already developed before Nigeria as a country, before oil and Lagosians were crossing from island to mainland before oil and before all the rubbish you are foaming at the mouth with. grin grin

Lagosians know how to build their own bridge regardless the FG, they built the best bridge in Nigeria, which one your useless village leaders built. grin grin

FG left Lagos decades ago and Lagos's economy gathered steam, IGR is more than all your ipob villages combined many times over, Lagos have commissioned hundreds of projects since without the FG so what have your own worthless villages leaders commissioned? Nothing. They beg for bridge, they beg for airport, they beg for handouts, the cry for road. You people are like little babies without any capacity to tie their own shoes or brush their own teeth. grin grin

Abeg, shut up and face your useless and unproductive villages and worthless beg beg leaders.

YelloweWest:
Does lagos state produce what Japan produces?
They don't have to produce the same thing and all entities are all unique in their own different ways.

Lagos is the 5th largest economy in Africa, not because they produce electronics or make cars like Japan, but because they dominate non-oil commerce in Nigeria and West Africa from banking and finance to insurance, arts, and entertainment, ICT, advertisement, industrial and manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas and so on.

There's a reason why Lagos is the 5th Largest economy in Africa without oil, it means they produce goods and provide services. Use your common sense if you have any.

Third Mainland Bridge. Connects Lagos Island to the mainland. 11.8km long with 8 lanes. It is the second longest bridge in Africa and was the longest until 1996.

It is part of the infrastructure that makes Lagos tick.

Built with oil money by IBB
And there was no bridge that connects the island to the mainland before oil and even before independence?

What about the onisha bridge in your village? Was it not built by the FG with oil money?

What about the airport in your enugu village? Was it not built with oil money and refurbished by jona with oil money?

Did the oil money built infrastructure put you on the same level with lagos?

FG left lagos decades ago and Lagos have made many gains since the, and this joker is talking about some bridge.

The LASG government have built so many bridges since, including the best bridge in Nigeria so how many have your own village leaders built on their own since independence? None. Even the common 2nd NB you've been begging and crying for is still a dream, but your useless leaders can not collectively build the small village bridge?

You unproductive and worthless salary only villages can not survive without oil money.

Ignorant bigot, if I recall correctly, Bola Tinubu was among the dissenting voices clearly against the 2014 national confab because he deemed it a waste of time.
The albino bigot must have been shooting his mouth off head as usual.
The conference was conducted regardless of Tinubu's opinion, but obviously, it was nothing but a waste of time and resources as Tinubu rightly suspected.

What happened after the conference? Nothing

Where is the report? No report

Implementation by the implementation committee nko? No show

End result of the conference? Rubbish, waste of time, waste of resources and the usual scam by Jona and his looting gang.

Lagos state earn revenues in seaports situated in her land in royalties, duties and indirect taxes

Even the Lekki Deal sea port that's undergoing, Lagos has 18% stake while the federal government represented by NPA has about 50%.

It is never compulsory to comment with tribal emotions overwhelming your cognitive abilities.

No be by force!
Wrong, it's only 20% and the FG is even trying to sell off their participation in the project.

Some of our brothers from the southwest are hypocrites.

Was Nnamdi Kanu lying about Tinubu? Hasn't the so Jagaban lost his voice now that his party is in power?

Nnamdi Kanu doesn't care if the politician is Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa or Ijaw.

He will continue to speak his mind and say the truth.
What difference does it make if Tinubu supported the conference or not? Must he support what he doesn't believe in?

Jona conducted his conference regardless, he was given the report and he promised to implement the report, so instead of questioning Tinubu over what they've already conducted, why not ask Jona who conducted the conference why he did not implement it f you jokers really care about your silly conference?

Have you jokers asked what happened to the report and why Jona did not implement it.?

Obviously, you jokers care less about any conference, all you care about is Tinubu, your famous daddy. grin grin
