ChangetheChange:
Only enlightened minds would be able to understand why people like Obanikoro and Okupe are quitting now, it's not about PDP or APC but about the coming realignment in the coming weeks as 2019 approaches.

Mark my words APC is about to implode and disintegrate in various parties.

Tinubu is all but done with APC cos of the way the CPC faction of APC has hijacked the party from him and they have not fulfilled many part of the agreement they they worked on before 2015 election

Tinubu is waiting by December this Year to starting pulling out his ACN faction which are mainly from the South West out to APC into the new APDA, as it is now clear to Tinubu that the Cabal at Aso Rock with the support of El Rufai is trying to manipulate Amosun, Fashola and Fayemi as the new Leaders of APC in the South West which Tinubu has considered and insult and betrayal on the part of Amosun, Fahsola and Fayemi.

APDA is the creation of Tinubu, Atiku, Wike, Fayose and other members Markafi led PDP faction, they are all already realiging for 2019

Obanikoro, Bode George, Doyin Okupe inevitable defection to APC on a short term is just a smoke screen for the mass defections of APC members and PDP memebers into the newly created APDA from December this Year

The realignment for 2019 has begun
The cabal at Aso Rock will not know what hit them by Beginning of 2018
You miss road right there, Tinubu won't align with the jokers you listed or even touch them with a 10 inch pole.

Best bet for Tinubu and the SW is to go back to ACN with all the SW state and renegotiate any political realingmemt in favor of the SW.

It's all about strategy.

You started off very well and for a moment I almost thought you were not a Nigerian until you started writing about Yari.ba marginalization and 2015 election retaliation. I have never heard Ndigbo, in a group of any form, talk about true federalism or false federalism. However, the issue of Biafra to Ndigbo and people of defunct eastern region of Nigeria has absolute nothing to do with election but philosophical. The movement for actualization Biafra started when Obasanjo was the president of the cesspit called Nigeria. Biafra was once a country to Ndigbo and people of defunct eastern region of Nigeria. It is absolute fact that colonial masters never sought the consensus of ethnic nationalities when they foolishly amalgamated northern and southern protectorates to form Niger-Area. There is no doubt people of Nigeria are capable of taking decisions for themselves. It now or never for the people of Niger-Area to make inveterate decision either to remain in the pretense called Nigeria or vacate the unholy union by the colonialists. Please forget Biafra for now, the referendum should be on who wants to stay in Nigeria or elope. This is time to come clean.
Stop blaming Lugard for sins, quest for power and political naivety of your forefathers because they created Nigeria and the same mess you don't want today.

Almagamation had nothing to do with independence, independence was when we all had the opportunity to go our separate ways or at least agree on writing and constitution to allow separation at will by the North, South, East or West.

1. Your forefather ZIK wanted One Nigeria against sensible to advise not to form Nigeria under that condition, but ZIK because of power and greed teamed up with the Hausa North to form Nigeria and all he gained in return was a powerless President position while the North kept the powerful prime minister position.

2. We had regionalism and some manner of separation when all the regions ran their affairs individually with a very less powerful federal center which worked for everybody, but guess what, another forefather of yours called Ironsi abolished regionalism with DECREE 34.

Your forefathers created Nigeria and did everything in their power to make sure Nigeria stay as one, they are the real Unity beggars, they created the same Nigeria and unity you no sense of history ipobs don't want today.

Pick up your histoty book for proper understanding and why it's very necessary for you to reap the seeds sown by your forefathers.

Absolutely zilch grin
But they come to NL and make noise like headless chickens
One minute, they are the smartest people in Nigeria, they are the richest in Nigeria, they are the most educated, they own everything in Nigeria and they are more superior than the next Nigeria, but at the end of the day, they shout and cry to every listener that they are marginilized.

The question now is, if you are really better and well off that the rest of the country, how is that marginalization? The rest of Nigeria you are better than should be the ones shouting marginalization right?

The fact is, you have no time left to better yourself or gain anything after spending all your time hating all over the place, after spewing bitterness all over the place and after abusing and insulting other people.

Their problem is not only with Nigeria, they are just a bunch of annoying people that annoy other people everywhere they go.

They are all comedians, unintelligent lazy dolts, and empty barrels.

At last this joker wrote something I fully enjoyed and subscribe to.

Wonderful write up.

We have so many problems in Nigeria, but the idiotic noise and disturbance by the usual suspects, the self-loathing and always self-destructive noisemakers from the eastern part of Nigeria remain a needless distraction.

Just lack the writer opined, politics is hard work, sacrifice, perseverance, and a game of numbers, not sitting on your hands shouting marginalization, wanting the highest office in the land, but never willing to reach out, sacrifice, form alliances and so on.

How do you hate and insult other people while at the same time expect them to cater to your warped senses and underserved request for presidency and recognition when even when you were given so many opportunities in a lopsided GEJ government that favored you, your sons and daughters, exactly what did you do with it? Nothing.

The same jokers think they are insulting and embarrassing Yoruba people when they call them cowards for not fighting because of June 12 and Abiola when in fact like we say always, sacrifice, strategies and sense of purpose and goals carries more weight than empty and shallow chest beatings with emotions and sentiments that get you nowhere at the end of the day.

Nothing in this world is free or handed to you free, including the presidency in Nigeria or anywhere for that matter.

Strategies, composure, doggedness, maturity and mental sophistication remain the best offensive weapon in the SW and they always laugh last.

Just look at the SW and the other regions in Nigeria, their wealth, investments, and industrial domination across the board all the way to banking, finance, insurance, entertainment, arts and culture including pop culture and so on. The North with their political and military domination since independence is still a million years behind the SW socially and economically and the SS backward because of corruption and lack of credible leadership while the SE remains backward and underserved because of self-inflicted and collective victim mentality that holds them back from strategic thinking and ability to strategize, go on political offensive to achieve their goals and objectives. Bottom line, in and out of Nigeria, the SW is always going to be OK and still always well positioned to be a successful and prosperous entity either way.

In the SE, they still don't have any strong, credible and astute political figures to speak and negotiate on their behalf and they are even in a more precarious situation today when they surrendered their collective voices and will to miscreants, roadside noise makers, and iPods nuisance.

We cqn go back to regionalism and manage our different affairs regionally, we had that before and we progressed regionally, but guess who abolished regionalism, Ironsi, ibo man with DECREE 34 aka Unification decree that unified Nigeria and sent power to the center, an ibo man from SE created the same system of government the same Ibo people don't like or want today.

Sometimes, you reap what you sow.

Documented and credible facts? Do you know Aguleri more than the elders of Aguleri themselves?

The same Vanguard you quoted compared the two beliefs we are discussing about.

While you are quoting Nigeria websites, I can as well post many websites and give you names of books written on ERI by scholars.

You choose what to believe bro. Click Eri on google and see different websites talking about him including foreign sites. Better come down to Eri kingdom as see the facts yourself.

Like I said earlier, you are free to believe whatever you like. You won't be the first person to counter the true facts of Eri kingdom. Agukwu Nri did it in time past. Aguleri played internal politics with it too. Presently Umuleri (now Umueri) are doing the same thing.

The truth shall prevail at the end.

God bless you and Peace be unto you.
So, the so-called igbo jews here in Nigeria have warped and ill-informed naratives regarding their history.

Where is the sense and wisdom in discrediting and discounting your own people's account per their history, origin and news media here in Nigeria while upholding and puting your faith in foreign narratives?

One major thing I learnt is that humans choose what they believe in. That is why I have learnt to respect people's belief. The truth would eventually find its way out. It can never be hidden forever.

Just as you chose to believe Eri is from Egypt, many believe Eri is of the tribe of Israel.

We have many scholars on Igbo history. Some talk about Bantu, some say Eri dropped from the sky, some say Nri gave birth to Eri, Some say Eri lived before Adam (see "They Lived Before Adam" by Prof Acholonu).

In general, the people of Obu-Gad believe that Eri is the 5th son of Gad, Gad 7th son of Jacob Israel.
1. The word believe is just a word and what people believe has nothing to do with documented and credible facts.

2. The info I posted didn't come from me and I did not put it together and I'm not even VINCENT UJUMADU, the Igbo writer.

3. The history and narative in the article also came from Igbo people, not me.

4. I also posted the link, the Vanguard, a mainstream Nigerian news outlet.

The joke called Eri, the progenitor of Ndigbo, lived in Egypt and was the special adviser on religious matters to the 5th dynasty of Pharaohs of Egypt.

It was in those days in Egypt that Eri determined who was going to be the next Pharaoh. And by their law, there was a deity called Emem and anything to happen during the time, the man called Eri, in his capacity as the religion adviser to the Pharaoh of Egypt, was responsible.

Good, now you know there is a budgetary process for unforseen expenses during the year.
Fashola budgeting N20 billion for miscellaneous makes him a crook.
So, if the rickety onistha bridge in your village kpafuka today for any natural reason or occurrence, what should the government or Fashola the mnister of Works do? Do nothing or mobilize contractors for immediate repairs and construction or go to the useless lawmakers and beg them for funds while you and your people suffer socially and economically.

Such funds are reserved for unforeseen and emergency situations.

Definition of 'Contingency Fund'

Definition: Contingency Fund is created as an imprest account to meet some urgent or unforeseen expenditure of the government.
On the issue of the N20 billion provision in the Ministry’s Budget which the spokesperson alleged that the minister failed to give details of, Mr. Fashola said the spokesperson is hiding behind a finger.
The minister explained that it was a very basic principle of good planning to make provision for unforeseen contingencies; adding that in the 2016 budget , a similar provision enabled the ministry to respond to the failures of the Tamburawa Bridge in Sokoto, the Ijora Bridge in Lagos and the Gada Hudu Bridge in Koto Karfe along the Abuja – Lokoja Highway. Similarly, the ministry was able to pay N1 billion to the contractor handling the Suleja to Minna road.
The recent failures caused by flooding along Tegina-Mokwa-Jebba road and Tatabu in Niger State could not have been provided because they were not foreseen and there may be more. “This is what good planning is about,” Mr. Fashola said.

CharlotteFlair:
Mehn, you kids will not kee somebody here! Mbok ask people from that side to tell you the stage the project was at biko.
Ok, lets get this straight.

1. 2nd NB is basically what Nigerian politicians dangle in your face for at every election for your votes and for obvious tribal and sentimental reasons including lack of political awareness, strategic thinking and credible leadership from your villages from governors to federal representatives, you fall for the same 2nd NB games.

2. So, after 30 tears of failed NB promises and 16 years of mumu PDP followership and GEJ's incompetence and insincerity, you still don't have a common village bridge that even your own local governors can collectively build on their own just like many other state governors have done on their own with their own money.

3. Just to secure your votes, GEJ promised to go into exile if he did not build and commission that bridge by the end of his term, but guess what, he did not and he's still not in exile. So, who is the mumu.?

4. The same PDP and GEJ you follow around like mumu accumulated the largest amount of federal revenue in th history of Nigeria, but they still refused to build your little and common village bridge even after fake and disingenuous project kickoff.

5. You said they gave some money to JB, but please tell us why after 16 years of PDP and Jona your village hero, they didn't just completely fund the project considering the fact that Jona's government presided over the largest earnings in the history of Nigeria with oil selling for over $100 per barrel. Why just measly and poor N15 billion for ordinary piling?

Can you please tell us why they did not fund the construction completely when the funds was there to do so in the 1st place? Why just N15 billion for piling?

6. I still don't get your upside down and backward understanding of what is going on today with the same bridge.

The present administration is determined to build the bridge, they proposed snd defended the budget before the lawmakers, but the same lawmakers after the fact decided to slash the funds forthe bridge and my question now is, why are you so happy and against the minister for the lawmakers actions because if building the bridge is very important to you, you should be against such move by anybody or entity to remove funds or further delays when it comes to that bridge regardless the reasons.

7. You are happy and against the minister, because they lawmakers took away funds for the same bridge you are crying over.

So, please tell us how the lawmaker's actions helped you, helped your community and the construction of that bridge.

See, you don't care if that bridge really gets built or not, your only concern and happiness here is the fact that you get to let us know how much you hate Fashola based on your own usual hatred, bitterness, and bigotry.

8. I'd still love to know what you love so much about some lawmakers taking away the funds for your bridge just to increase their own salary, budget and deliver projects in their own northern communities instead of yours.

Again, your main concern here is not that bridge getting built and you don't care even if the lawmakers slashed every kobo from that project and even cancel it completely, all you care about is Fashola and the need to let us know how much you hate him even if you don't get that bridge after 30 years of begging and pleading for the bridge.

This is what get when hatred and bitterness, sentiments and emotions are your primary goal and preoccupation, you don't progress and develop, you just don't care if you eat, breath or leave anything meaningful for your future generations all as long as you get to hate today.

9. If they like, they can slash the budget to zero kobo or frustrate the construction for another 30 years, the only loser here is you, not the lawmakers or Fashola, you are the usual loser. Hate Fashola all you like.

Fashola's competence and ability to get things done is legendary in Nigeria and is not even subject to any kind of debate because he remains the most accomplished state governor in the history of Nigeria.

10. Fashola built the best and most sophisticated bridge in Nigeria today in less than 3 years while your own useless, worthless and incompetent governors even collectively can not build a common village bridge. Your bitterness and hatred shoujld be directed at your own useless and incompetent village leaders, not Fashola.

..

https://i1.wp.com/www.ilovelagos.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/wpid-maxresdefault.jpg

While you losers sit around hating, spewing bitterness and bigotry, while the PDP and Jona was scheming you and deceiving you with your village bridge for 16 years, Fashola built the best bridge in Nigeria in less than 3 years for just N29 billion.

The bridge is still here, shinning and glitering day and night.

The joke is on you, not on Fashola.

If the idiot of a bigot called Fashola cared so much for the 2nd Niger bridge, why did he overlook the budgetary provisions for it in 2016 and let the project lie dormant till date?

Your school fees was wasted, tell your parents to demand for a refund.
In the case of the Second Niger Bridge where one of the spokespersons alleged that the provision in 2016 budget was not spent and had to be returned, Mr. Fashola said that this displays very stark and worrisome gaps in knowledge of the spokesperson about the budget process he was addressing.

According to him, a budget is not cash. It is an approval of estimates of expenditure to be financed by cash from the Ministry of Finance.
“The Ministry of Finance has not yet released any cash for the Second Niger Bridge, so no money was returned.”

“Three phases of Early Works of piling and foundation was approved and financed by the previous government in the hope that a concession will finally be issued, which has not happened because concessionaires have not been able to raise finance.
“The continuation of Early Works IV could not start in May 2016 when the budget was passed because of high water level in the River Niger in the rainy season.
“The contract was only approved by the Federal Executive Council in the first quarter of 2017 and the contractor is awaiting payment.

To start with, no budget provisions was ignored and there was no cash budget for the bridge so how do you return what was never there in the first place.? grin

The only provision was budget estimate that was never funded by the finance ministry and on top of that, the contract for the bridge was just awarded this year, a few months ago and the contractor can not start work because of rain.

Btw, how do you even pay contractors that haven't been paid after slashing budgets left and right? grin grin

Like I said, hatred and ignorance be your worst enemy. grin grin

Instead of reading and educating yourself, you spend your nights and days on hatred and bigotry.

Since you are so ignorant regarding the topic of discussion and facts involved, you should worry more about the school fees your own parents wasted on you.. grin grin
