I was privileged to see 9ice in person with the award plaque at the airport yesterday. I did not miss the opportunity to shake him and congratulate him in person. ![]() Congrats my guy |
Hey, I am in total support. This is Not a fight for Nigeria but myself. I carry only one passport( WILL NEVER CHANGE IT FOR ANY REASON) and i can't afford to be ridiculed for the rest of my young life. @inquisitiv Please create a group mailing list, then cell units could be created from there. WE NEED TO TRY not just complaining |
dudu19:Hey, young man please be decent with the words you use. I have no problem with your opinion;but if you disagree with mine , then be objective not abusive .This is not a motor park please. |
I'll advice you to Appeal immediately ( with STRONG EVIDENCE) , then re-apply for the visa and then concentrate on the STRONG EVIDENCE that you used for the appeal in your re-application. But make sure you Very good evidence to prove that the certificate is NOT fake. |
Does anyone in the house know the price of new 2008 hyundai Tucson or hyundai Santa fe in NIGERIA ( 4WD) petrol engine AUTO |
Abi oh. Almost all Nigerians that travel through foreign airports face this things. I am used to it and i expect it every time, it is so sad but we have to be ready as a nation to be upright or be ready as citizens to be ridiculed. |
It might be due to the time-zone change( US and Africa) ![]() |
Goosh, I dislike threads like this ![]() |

The truth is that we have not started playing politics in Nigeria. Experience has nothing to do with becoming a political office holder. All you need is to have a God father. Just show me one political office holder who does not Have a Godfather in Nigeria. There are thousands of Obamas and Clintons that WILL never be local government chairmen talk less of Governor of a state. At best they will just be Head of their families. |
naijaking1:A satellite picture to justify this is coming soon ![]() |
lacrimose:I have silently thought about this |
His second term has been a sham. Its all about playing dirty politics to the gallery |
I have always suspected that this guy MC Usman is a soldier. Keep up the good work if you are a soldier. Nice pictures |
NO to war , in all it's ramifications. Human beings loose their minds during wars and it is not a function of the person race or origin. If civil war breaks out in UK or USA today, what you'll get won't be that different from what happened in Liberia |
@ bettes I agree with you completely. That's why i am saying this is a step in the right direction. Though not worth celebrating like some hard critics here have written but it's a good news. |
Let's pray we win the return leg in Egypt. The team is not at par with our former African champions team |
bettes:Which is of No significant harm and which also does not state that they are at the expected level |
Hey people.,., This was just a press release and NOT a celebration. Read in between the lines please |
This is a step in the right direction |
Obalende:Don't mind them, always looking for someone to blame for our problems, |
Rejoinder Re: Nigerian Envoy fight at Gala night of Sept 28 By Sun News Publishing Sunday, October 5, 2008 My attention has been drawn to your story, "Nigerian Envoy Fight at a Gala Dinner" dated 28/9. With all due respect to your paper which I held in high esteem, I should have expected your paper to check the veracity of this very damaging story before you went to the press. In this era when we are all collectively repositioning Nigeria no envoy worth his salt would be involved in the acts described in your story under referene at a function his Minister of State, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, many host ministers, Ambassadors from many countries, Permanent Secretaries, Director General of Technical Aid Corps of Nigeria, Ambassador Mamman Daura and his officials as well as many professors and lecturers from Nigeria were invited to the dinner by the Envoy. The fact was that to honour the Minister of State II, Ambassador Bagudu Hirse and the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency David Jang as well to celebrate the resuscitation of the Nigeria/Namibia Joint Commission which has been dormant since 2000 an arrangement was made for a dinner and some very important people were invited. The last included the peoplementioned above. The Executives of the Association of Nigerians in Namibia (ANINAM), the Nigeria in Diaspora Organisation and those of Nigeria/Namibia Friendship Association were invited. Mr. David Adetuna who is the Public Relations Officer of ANINAM was invited. He came with two other people to this sit down dinner. This created problems of sitting arrangement for Mr. Ogunbiyi and the other person that also came with him were politely asked to move to another dinning room in the hotel and that the High Commission will pay for their meal. They refused and walked away inspite of my plea. The next thing the Mission heard was the telephone call from a gutter newspaper here called Informante. The story of the Informante was now produced by your paper without checking with me. Mr. Ogunbiyi sent a rebuttal withdrawing his story and deposited same to the police and apologised to me. Mr. Adetona also withdrew his story. Their letters and the accounts of the event as recorded by my officers who were present are attached for your information and publication in the conspicuous manner you gave to their story. It is sad that while all efforts are being deployed to implement the Citizen Diplomacy of the present administration by my Mission, the reward one is getting is slander and character assassination by some Nigerians who are possibly not happy with the positive improvement in Nigeria/Namibia relation since I resumed my watch here in Windhoek. I have since my arrival launched the Nigerian chapter of Nigeria in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) in Namibia as well as Nigeria/Namibia Friendship Association and have assisted the Aasociation of Nigeria in Namibia with funds to bring them together. The Mission has good working relations with the Nigerian community and in fact many of them have written to commend us. Please see the attached. Like I have assured the Elders of the Nigerian community here who came pleading on behalf of these people and asking for my forgiveness, these gentlemen will continue to receive all assistance and protection from my Mission because they are Nigerians, the most important resource of our country. Indeed Mr. Adetona has been invited to the forthcoming October 1, Independence celebration. I should however state that I and my staff did not engage anybody in any physical assault. I have not also spoken to any Sun reporter or staff on this story before the publication as was wrongly alleged in your publication. It would be necessary to do the urgent and important thing now by publishing this my letter and the attachment to clear my image in the eye of Nigerians and the government that sent me to Namibia. I leave all this matter in the hands of the Almighty. •Ambassador (Prince) Adegboyega Christopher Ariyo, High Commissioner, Nigeria High Commission, Windhoek, Namibia. Editor’s note We have since discovered that our story, ‘Diplomatic Shame’ published in September 28 edition of Sunday Sun was grossly exaggerated. We therefore regret any embarrassment the earlier story may have caused the esteemed Nigerian envoy to Namibia. We meant no harm. source: http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2008/oct/05/national-05-10-2008-002.htm |
IN addition to what gbola h said, A lot of people dropped their cars and joined their colleagues during the closure o f the bridge, but they have all started driving their cars to the office now, thereby having more cars on the road that it was during 3rd mainland closure |
Tribune is NOT a national newspaper, though they said they conducted the opinion pool in all the 6 geo political region, I doubt if their sample population is a true representation of the Nigerian people. |
Another thing to add to the list of demands by the MEND, ![]() |
I guess these are political statement from Gov Daniel. If oil were to be in Ogun state, it would have been tapped since the Niger Delta issue started. Meanwhile which company did the seismic analysis? |
bawomolo:@ bawomolo If you understand the political mood in the country when Fajuyi was killed , you will understand that his death saved a lot of other death. There was great mistrust and suspicion in the land at that time. The fact that Ironsi was killed on a visit to the head of western region was enough proof that the Yorubas colluded with Hausas to kill Ironsi Not to talk about Fajuyi walking out alive.,.,.,.,. Today, history would have recorded that the Yorubas and the Hausa planned the death of Ironsi. |
