There is absolutely no BIG deal about this. It happens everywhere. Do you expect NIPOST people to know everywhere in the world? I remember asking a BUS driver in the UK about a route, guess what he told me, He said i could check on the internet for information and that he doesn't know ? |
nuzo:Ade Bendel was not an armed robber. He is/was a 419 kingpin. |
Have they checked if the useless 71 year old was NOT told that he was going to be given the Key to the Gambian Treasury? For someone to have flown all the way from Australia to Gambia, show the level of greed of the old man. The only exception is if he is/was suffering from Dementia. I think it's OLE hunting for THIEF, who be the THIEF ; who be the HUNTER. |
hey we use to have the VHS video of the match. But anytime we slot it into the cassette player, it shows something else. Infact the goal by thunder balogun, tore the net |
JJYOU: I was 16 years old then it was in 1995Did you see this part of the interview? Do your calculations sir |
Fadajasi:It's been shown on AIT |
Good News oh. I hope his former church or his village in Nigeria will quickly organise a chieftaincy title for him . I also hope he has confirmed his bank account so that his furniture allowance can be paid ASAP. Congrats ![]() |
Useless Doctor. He just took advantage of the poor girl. |
That's a step in the right direction. I think it's time we come down from our High horse and acknowledge that we are NOT the giant of West Africa ; talkless of Africa. The Fact remains that PHCN/NEPA or even Generators cannot satisfy our power needs for whatever reason; I think we have to look elsewhere. |
In as much as people have right to choose where they school, I think it is very IRONIC to put a man in charge of a system he has no believe in. It's just like having a cafeteria and choosing NOT to eat there. |
jamace:I guess this will spoil the fun. |
Police parade goat as robbery suspect Written by Demola Akinyemi Friday, 23 January 2009 *For attempting to ‘steal’ a Mazda car It was a shocking sight yesterday as men of the Kwara State Police Command paraded a goat as an armed robbery suspect. The goat "robbery suspect"The goat "suspect" is being detained over an alleged attempt to snatch a Mazda car. The mysterious goat, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tunde Mohammed, while briefing bewildered journalists at the Force headquarters, is an armed robber who attempted to snatch the said car, Wednesday night, and later transformed into the goat in a bid to escape arrest. He explained that men of a vigilance group in Anifowose Ipata/Oloje areas of the state capital had chased two armed robbery suspects who wanted to demobilise the Mazda car with the intention of stealing it, and "while one of them escaped, the other was about to be apprehended by the team when he turned his back on the wall and turned to this goat. They quickly grabbed the goat and here it is.’’ Mohammed said. The police spokesman said the goat "armed robbery suspect" will not be left off the hook until investigations into the case are concluded. He also said that no fewer than five stolen vehicles have been recovered by the state Police Command while some suspects were also arrested. Among those arrested, he said was one Idowu Oni of Araromi area of Akure who escaped from Akure Prison. He added that the escaped convict was arrested in Ilorin after stealing a Mazda 323 car belonging to Mrs. Henrietta Ayijesu. He also said another armed robbery and rape suspect was in their custody, assuring that the suspects will soon appear in court. source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/content/view/27049/42/

Peepe:I think you need to shove up your budget to get a 3 bedroom apartment in the areas you mentioned, It should be around 500K to 800K for a 3 bedroom |

Kobojunkie:@ kobojunkie, I am barely 3 months back in Nigeria and I must enlighten you that, FRSC has used all available/affordable media to publicise and sensitize the public about the dangers of not wearing HELMET and the PENALTY attached to this act. They have a "boring" advert they show in between NTA news. I have even seen advert in the Newspapers and I am sure it must have aired on Radios across the country also. Almost 80% of Nigerian Adult URBAN population ( Don't quote my statistics please) board OKADA and know the inherent danger in these mode of Transport. The least a responsible government can do is to sensitize it citizens through campaign and advert and also put APPROPRIATE fine/punishment in place for deterring citizens. As far as I am concerned, the FRSC has done this; therefore they have every right to enforce this rule |
HELMET is a MUST! If you can't share HELMET then BUY one, If you don't want to wear HELMET then look for an alternative mode of transport, Afterall before 9/11 people could carry more than 100ml of liquid or walk with their shoes while crossing a metal detector before boading a plane. These rather normal behaviours became RED flag because of safety reasons and people all over the world complied. So what's the big deal. |
Is a 21 year old girl NOT old enough to make decisions for her Life? @jookco in better countries 21 years old people are taking all the decisions that matter in their life without DADDY or MUMMY input |
texazzpete:Nigerians also pay taxes; i even pay more that what i was paying while working in the UK. It is NOT by the taxes you pay in UK/US that matters but how it is effectively put to use by the government of those countries. I see no extra contribution from any foreigner living in these countries apart from those taxes which are even deducted before you are paid. Yet no one had the balls and common sense to be outraged at why armed personnel carry horsewhips in the first place. It is easier said than done. Who do you expext to challenge a man carrying a fully loaded GUN. Or do you think the Jews did not have balls under the Nazis ; or the palestines right now Israelis? If you can raise your voice in the UK/US, it is NOT ( and I REPEAT ; it is NOT ) because you have balls BUT because the government let you. When you travel out, you see things from a fresh, different perspective. You then have a benchmark to compare and contrast with what's going on in Nigeria. we have rich human and natural resources and it's only decent (and patriotic) to be appalled at the state of the NationI totally agree about seeing things from a diffrent perspective and you and I have every right to be appalled about the state of everything in the country, but again I insist that it is rather an unfair to say Nigerian have NO balls. |
Being poor does not translate to being dirty, unruly or even give excuse to commit crime. As a responsible leader governing a state that has Oshodi as a constituent ; you ask yourself that "what do i do about this place". You have options of leaving it or reducing the filth and chaos or Redeveloping it. If you chose to redevelope like LASG has done, next thing that comes to mind is "Compensation or resettlement". But between me and you ; How do you allocate BILLIONS of Naira to relocate or compensate ILLEGAL occupants/traders. It does not make so much sense to me. It is just like see people illegally trading on a piece of land that belongs to you; I guess many people will do exactly what LASG did to those in Oshodi to the illegal traders in their land |
Lol, I saw a guy on the 3rd mainland bridge yesterday ( probably a NLer) "playing" or /scheming trying to "tap current "from the boobs of the lady beside him. My staff bus was just beside their commercial bus, then I gave him a thumb and the funny guy saw me. I am sure he would have wanted to give me a thumb also ( but obviously his hands were busy). ![]() But against the general impression given about Naija babes by ladies/girls on NL; this Lady in question (yesterday) was so relaxed and probably enjoying it ![]() |
KnowAll:Good thinking about airport ownership by the FG, but trust me. This is Nigeria, some people will start shouting marginalisation |
I actually want a combination of the two. i.e incarceration in the dungeon filled with dead rats and all for a period of 5 to 10 years AND then the execution. The period of incarceration is to allow the criminal to reflect on his/her deeds and become sober, then the execution is to pay for his/her sins |
i guess this is the NEWS most Nigerian have been waiting for, Instead of concentrating on having a free election in our country, take it or leave it, Ghana is way ahead of Naija on many grounds including civility |
udezue:So please do your calculations, How many more Yorubas, Benins, Urhobo, Ijaws etc do you want to see dead before they say our unity is under threat. |
@ poster, I am quite young in this business ( marriage) but i think i should chip in one or two things. It takes a couple of months( sometimes years) for two different people to actually try to become one. The first phase after marriage for a man is trying to act as the father of the house. When i got married over 2 years ago, i suddenly found myself watching TV whenever my wife was in the kitchen. I get out of bed without looking back. Eating in the parlour without packing my plates to the kitchen, talkless of washing them in the kitchen. Cooking, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, etc where thing i ignored but i must confess to you that i DID not deliberately ignore them. I was just passing thru a phase , which i was not in total control of. It was later, after about 6-9 months, that i started to go back to my pre marriage behaviours, cooking, washing, sweeping, laying the bed, eating and then pack my plate and my wife plate, etc Then SEX, before marriage, was a privilege not a right. There are time you want it and your fiancee might not give based on the reason that it's pre-marital. Then all of a sudden after some two hours in the church/mosque/ court and a paper you suddenly realise that you can have this thing everyday, anytime etc. The conquest spirit in a man make the first few sex one looks too easy, always there at your beck and call, so that also needs some time to fix But above all just keep your cool, he will soon come back to his former ways.hopefully |
Yeah, Will miss having to wear jacket everywhere, gosh i hate it Will miss having to wait for bus time, okada to my rescue Will miss having to call 0844/0870 number for every small problem and of course WILL NOT be solved, I'll burst into their shop/office sharp sharp Will miss having to be sure that "blackys" attend a club before clubbing there alone, Will definitely miss EASYJET's "wayo" cheap tickets, '.,' thief people Will miss having just about 50pounds account balance after all bill deductions/credit card deduction etc, I.got to go, okada waiting for me outside, ![]() |
