Politics › How Possible Or Easy Is It To... by Depressed101(op): 11:09am On Dec 15, 2020 |
Kidnap 520 kids from the home state of the president of Nigeria in less than 48hrs before he stepped into his home town.... It's practically impossible... I've been to occasions where the president would an attendee,i know the protocols that follows 48hrs before he arrives.... There's a total security flooding of the area... Even here in Abuja, sometimes they take the light off, just because they are passing through a street... I am trying to imagine how possible it is to kidnap 520 children like herds of cows into the forest (if at all there's a forest in kankara). Since the president was visiting the state, wasn't security supposed to be at alert,? There's news that police exchanged fire with them.. Nobody died ? How come? No Photos? I smell foul play.... Wetin dey populate,? What are they upto again.... Why is the president visiting Daura when he's supposed to be at Nass answering his summone.. Are you sure we have a president? That is this country keep surprising me.. |

4words: Just look at this overzealous Oyinbo wannabe ... you successfully all that is your culture just because you feel we should emulate the white. Though I agree with some of what you pointed out but you see the aspect of animal husbandry and food is totally rubbish and uncalled for.
To remind you, those are the food our forefathers ate and they live many years. So tell me, what's health and what's unhealthy. You said its unsustainable lol you funny, what has been on way before you were born. Your statement on our food is just funny.
What is wrong with animal husbandry? You cant ask me to life my life the way the eroupian or Americans live theirs. Heck, they take wild animals as pet dog, snake, lion, spider, rat, cat, just think of any animal and practically exchange intimacy with them... kissing, eating from same plate, bathing together and all what not. I am sure this appeal to you because it is the way of the white. Yet you come here to criticise our way. To me, I am yet to see what's wrong with animal husbandry. Abeg don't mind that one, he is a product of miseducation. Fowls that oyibo keep as pet, or train for meat, is what he's reading unnecessary meanings to... I think he thinks the white man is better than him |

etrange: To start with, the city where I live is considered to be the most diverse city in the world. Virtually everyone is from somewhere. In such a place, people are addressed based on their content and not based on where they are from or their accent. The truth is, we all have read or heard many things about one another's country (both good and bad) and we have also met both good and terrible people from the same country. So we know better than to stereotype people. To be honest, most of my experience has been in the corporate environment but I strongly believe the city is way too diverse for Nigerians to be singled out nevertheless.
To answer the OP more directly, everyone knows I'm Nigerian at my place of work cause we normally spend a lot of time talking about our home countries and no one has ever reacted in an unruly manner towards me on learning I'm from Nigeria (even as I'm the only African in the organisation). must be new york or london |

my sister wants her Traditional Wedding to happen in the City, I have never seen a city traditional marriage, it sound abnormal to the ear, it seems I am the only stumbling block to this marriage. white wedding can happen in the city but not traditional abi?
truth is that most of our families reside in the city, they grew up in the city, and the cost of logistics is their excuse. please is it right that I should allow this to happen? it's simple logic, you had not to come here. But you came afterall and reiterated the fact that you are the okpara of this house.. Now as the Okpara of the house, I put it to you to propose that you will take care of all logistics both financially and physical organization. Case closed abi |

hurryup123: If It is compulsory that leaders must be selected based on a rotational regional basis, without any consideration of the best and most productive candidates in the country, it means that we are not united/"One" in Nigeria. We can as well break the country up, so that every zone or entity can have their own leaders and vote in a united way.............. yes it is right now we need it for equity and cohesion. Maybe in the future, we will be more matured to see that our leader can come from any region, but right now we need this. And also the idea that it will undermine the selection of the best is ruled out as there are many good performing leaders in each region Zulum and peter obi comes to mind |

Macphenson: I once said it on this forum that Tinubu has been made the kind of promise you make to a girl on bed just to make her spread her legs wide apart on.
Unfolding events keep proving my assertions right.
Every calculation is against Tinubu for president.
First he is a Muslim, who is going to be his christian deputy that will be totally acceptable by the Muslims in the north or does he intend running a Muslim Muslim ticket?
Secondly south west have had 8 years as president , six years ( and counting) as vice president and they still want to be president immediately after 8 years as VP ( na only una Waka come)?
Thirdly in the power play, you don't give power to a powerful man, as the effects are too devastating. This is the sole reason Ambode was cut to size and clueless Sanwo Olu made governor. Same reason Tinubu had issues with Fashola.
Fourthly, since zoning is enthroned to bring about equity, micro zoning should also be entroned.
The presidency is coming to either south south or south east. South west is simply off the calculation. good prognosis |
