PoliticsRe: I Believe In Buhari’s Good Intentions For Nigerians, Ndigbo - Okonkwo by Deprofessional(m): 6:03am On Aug 04, 2018
Mr. Okonkwo, your statement shows you are far from your people.

Please learn from the predicaments of Ngige.

You cannot use Buhari's name to win election any where in the south east.

You have directly insulted the Igbos you are planning to rule.

I will advice that you forget about any political ambition you many have because you can never win any election even in your own village.
PoliticsHow Kenneth Okonkwo Killed His Political Ambition. by Deprofessional(op): 5:51am On Aug 04, 2018
Kenneth Okonkwo, popularly known as Andy, is a man loved by all in the south east and among the Igbos.

His popularity came from his role in his debut film 'living in bondage'

I for one prefer watching any film that featured Andy because of his true to life acting as well as the story line of most of his films.

All these popularity and love are gradually coming to an end owing to the support Andy has for President Buhari and his unguarded utterances against his people.

Mr Andy has shown by his words that he is far from his people.

Whoever adviced him to drop Buhari's name in his infamous speech made a very big mistake. It has done an irreparable damage to whatever ambition he has.

Mr Andy seen not to know that the Igbos have suffered greatly under Buhari's government.

Mr Andy insulted the sensibilities of the Igbos when he stated that the Igbos will wander in the wilderness for 8 years if they fail to vote Buhari.

Noting can be more insulting than this. This has led the youths of Enugu state declaring that Andy will never be governor in Enugu state.

Mr Andy failed to learn from the predicament of former governor of Anambra state Mr Ngige.

Mr Andy failed to understand that Buhari hates the Igbos both in words and actions and has chosen to parlay with a known enemy. Thus, the igbos in Enugu state have chosen to kill his political ambition.

PoliticsRe: Blockade Of Saraki’s Home Must Have Been By His Security Aides, Police Claim by Deprofessional(m): 3:13pm On Jul 24, 2018
DONSMITH123:
Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, has said that the blockade of the Abuja home of Senate President Bukola Saraki must have been by his own security aides, rather than by the Police. as widely reported.

Moshood, in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon, said that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has consequently ordered a probe into the incidence.

The media had reported earlier on Tuesday that operatives of the Department of State Services and policemen laid siege to Saraki’s home in Abuja.

Saraki had also alleged that the siege was an attempt to stop some members of the Senate from defecting from the ruling party.

However, Moshood denied that the Police blocked Saraki from leaving his residence in the morning, noting that the “unathorised blockade” must have been carried out by his (Saraki’s) security aides.

He added that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered an investigation into the incident.

The police is just a very useless agency of government.

Forget the investigation. The deed is already done and dusted.

Politics8 Governors To Defect To PDP by Deprofessional(op): 3:06pm On Jul 24, 2018
It has been concluded that not less than 8 governors of the ruling APC will defect to PDP before the end of the third quarter.

Benue state governor is believed to be in touch with the governors who have not hidden their dislike with the way PMB has been handling issues in the country, particularly his inablity to arrest and prosecute the killer headers.

This is coming in the heels of the purported vote of no confidence given to federal government by Ohaneze, factions of Afenifere, and factions of Arewa.

It is currently being rumored in the villa that some ministers will resign before the year runs out. Some using political ambition and health challenges as excuses.

Political spectators have opined that the way things are going that even Tinubu may have left Buhari and may actually be behind that latest onslaught in the National assembly.

I think the school indicated back in 2016 that it'd only accept first degree in Finance or Banking. That's what made me shelf the second degree. I didn't want to do Economics again.

The school had accepted first degree in Economics, Accounting and some other courses until 2015.

We just wrote our last exams for the semester today.

Yes, UNILAG accepts Bsc accounting for Msc finance.

I am at a loss on what has gone wrong in the heads of some Yorubas who would sell even their fathers' lands for some chunks of Federal favours.

I am Yoruba, from Ibadan to be precise. My ancestors, fought very hard to keep the Fulanis off our Yorubaland, and from extending their alien sovereignty beyond Ilorin. One of such wars was the Osogbo war of 1840 and the Jalumi war.

Today, some peripheral-minded and unpatriotic Yorubas are willing to give out the same land that our forefathers fought to keep.

This menace of a king keeps premising his opinion on the need for national oneness, forgetting that Nigeria was never a nation. This Country is a compelled unity of diverse and not necessarily compatible interests. We Yorubas must protect what belongs to us else We are reduced to the Underdogs of this expired Republic.

Christianity EtcRe: Questioning The Implausibilities 4 (myth Or Truth) by Deprofessional(m): 1:37pm On Jul 04, 2018
johnydon22:
Last Thursday, the heat of the Otedola bridge tanker explosion was still very much felt throughout Nigerian cyber-space. What further aggravated the problem was the pray for Nigeria campaign it sparked off.

As expected there was mixed feelings about the whole campaign and i was one of the persons that spoke against such clueless campaign. We have been praying times and again after every tragedy yet another even deadlier tragedy occurs just after. This should be a call for more practical solution and not prayer.

Anyway that is not the point of this thread. Let me proceed with my story.

So, i made some posts on my WhatsApp status against the #PrayForNigeria campaign and ordinarily my friends reacted. Some felt the need to affirm that prayers worked which i did not argue against, some agreed with me, a particular friend of mine (female) whom i have not seen before, we just chat online argued against the premise and we got talking. I later made my intentions of not arguing on whatsapp known and she proposed that we met that day to sit and talk, i agreed.

In the afternoon she was at my house and we got a bit familiar with ourselves before proceeding with the discussion. The following lines highlights the premise of this topic.

After a few discussions about God, religion, prayer and all.

She asked me to explain to her, that she wanted to understand my perspective on Christianity, God and biblical positions.

"I want to tell you a story" I said. She smiled and paid apt attention to my impending story, so i began. "long ago when the world was still new, Chukwu (God) created humanity and everything was ok but it wasn't determined yet if man were to live forever or not" She adjusted herself and paid even closer attention.
"So God called the tortoise and the dog" Immediately i mentioned this line she lifted her face up and gave me that WTF look. I smiled and told her to relax, i wasn't finished with my story then proceeded.
"God gave the dog a package of immortality and the tortoise he gave a package of mortality, whoever delivers his first affects the turnout of man's reality on mortality. The dog is much faster than the tortoise so it sets out immediately with bullet speed, but on its way, it saw a pile of bones and thought to itself, let me eat and enjoy some bones, the tortoise cannot ever catch up. After the bones, he was tired and decided to take a little nap. He was still sleeping when the tortoise walked past him and thus delivered his package to mankind first and that is why mankind is prone to die"

She laughed.
I asked "You don't believe that right?"
She nodded in affirmation.
"Why?"

"Dogs and tortoise?, common, thats folklore" she replied.

I laughed and agreed. "But do you know that, that is the Igbo traditional story of what happened?"
She just laughed.

"All right, i will tell you another story" I said.
"So long ago, after God created heaven and earth, he created two humans and put them in a garden. Then he planted a tree and told them not to eat that particular tree but they can eat every other fruit there. Then the woman was taking a walk one day and the snake told her. "You know you won't die if you eat this fruit right?, God just doesn't want you to be like him" then the woman took the fruit and ate it, gave some to her husband and he ate it. and that is why snakes do not have legs today and humans are prone to die and women have pains during labour"

"do you believe this one?" i asked.
She paused for a while and burst into laughter.

How come you don't believe the former but you believe the later, they both had the same motif, style and theme?

She laughed again and kept quiet for a minute. After that i knew she had no much defense to muster up anymore, i just proposed we watch some african magic.

* * * * * * *

This story up there represents the point this thread presents. "Myth or truth' Most Christians or Muslims that'd read this almost certainly won't believe my story on dog and tortoise determining whether we live forever or not but they obviously believe stories that are just as ridiculous as mine.

A muslim would laugh at the Greek myth of Perseus riding a flying horse but they actually believe Muhammed rode a flying horse named baruq.

Evaluation of myths found in most religious books betrays a motif that is most certainly folklore, apparently myth but today, people believe these as truth and defend these beliefs against reason.

As i have always affirmed, such application of faith is grossly dishonest by default.

So is this not a time to ask yourself the most necessary question towards your belief. The most daring approach that affirms our courage to seek the truth.

Why do i believe this story and not that story?

If you could understand the why? of your belief, i think this simplifies your position better and shows your belief does not necessary form myth into truth.
I have seen enough in this life to make me believe in the existence of GOD.

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church has declared war on those behind the ongoing killings in Plateau State.

The fiery cleric, while speaking during the Covenant Hours of Prayer, monitored by DAILY POST on Tuesday, affirmed that those behind the attacks would be wasted.

He said, “One of the leaders in Plateau State spoke yesterday that since the crisis started, 52 villages were now desolate.

“For everyone behind this crisis, may they and their generations be destroyed. May their generations perish. May they never be remembered.

“Anyone who has made people’s land and families desolate, we declare them desolate today.

“Let the arrow of God locate them. Let it locate their sponsors. Let it locate all the perpetrators. Let it locate anyone backing them in government from today.”

Good one from Bishop Oyedepo.
But, sir, God will not do for man what man can do for himself.

Even in the old testament, God told the children of Isreal to fight.

Are you surprise that the christians do the praying while islamic terrorists do the killing.
We can not continue to pray while the enemies continue to kill us.

We must begin the process of letting the world know what is going on in Nigeria.

The military want secret burial for the innocent women and children killed in Jos, why? The Nigerian murderous government
dont want the world to know the killings going on.

We must call a spade a spade. Enough of prayers and curses. God only helps those that help thgemselves. The only way to maintain peace is to be battle ready.
PoliticsNigeria Is At War by Deprofessional(op): 8:06am On Jun 26, 2018
Nigeria is currently at war.

The fulanis, recognised as the fourth deadliest terrorists in the world, are on a mission to wipe out other ethnic nationalities with the government appearing incapacitated.

The miyyetti allah, an association of cattle breeders have claimed responsibility for the on going carnage in jos.

This year alone, more than 2,000 innocent farmers mainly christians, have lost their lives to the rampaging fulani heardsmen.

Five innocent christians that defended themselves from fulani attacks have been handed down the death sentence.

The fulanis are on a mission, possibly supported by the government.

How come Ipob, a group agitating for self determination without any threat to anybody, is declared a terrorist organisation while fulani headsmen that are known to have killed over 2000 innocent woman and children are left to continue to kill and main people?

Nigerians of other ethnic nationalities should rise up and say enough is enough.

How can a people be so ruthless to kill innocent woman and children.

The south and middle belt must put the past behind them and UNITE.

If we stay together we survive. Christians must be prepared. There is a stealt jihad going on in Nigeria.

God will not come down from heaven to fight for us. We have prayed enough. It is time to come together and take the bull by the horn.

The Northern Christian elders have already forwarned us that there will be no Christian in Nigeria 20 years from now.

We won't allow that to happen. We will defend out Faith. We will defend our land with the last drop of blood in us.

I call on all leaders of the South East, South South, South West and the middle belt to unite us. I SAY AGAIN UNITE US.

Evil triumph over good when good men fail to talk.
