From personal experience:
1. These mini video series by Tom Bradford is bae.

2. This £4.99 app on Apple Store ( I’m sure there is an android version) was all I needed:
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/life-in-the-uk-test-2024/id1113930352

https://liuk.page/rniX

3. I see someone has provided another link, which I used too.

The exams itself was a breeze. Prepare well & you can finish the exams in 5 minutes.

Thanks a lot for sharing resources you personally utilised for a successful life in the UK test. I shall keep the thread posted.

You don’t need an affidavit. I just did mine a few weeks back. Just your marriage certificate is enough. Go change your name first in your NIN then u will use it plus your marriage certificate to apply for passport renewal.

Thanks for responding.
I have already sorted modification & “verification” of my NIN data.

Good evening,
I need dire assistance regarding what address should be shown in a court affidavit done in Nigeria for a forthcoming passport renewal/name change due to marriage (passport renewal to be done here in london very soon).
Should the said affidavit have my Nigerian address or my current UK residence?
Please help!

Hi,
This is a bit urgent.

What mobile app can I use to transfer money to a receiver in the US for cash pickup?

A reciprocal agreement is in place, allowing visa free periods. I think it's 90 days (would check and revert)..........

Enjoy your holiday at Costa Del Sol .......... (don't but any timeshare properties)...................... grin

Thanks for the swift response.
It’s just that one person has an EU passport and the spouse doesn’t (but has pre-settled status & a now defunct UK issued EU BRP) , can EU freedom of movement still be exercised regardless?

There are contradicting information online, hence the apprehension.

Lexusgs430,

Your counsel is direly needed.

Under EU law, an EU citizen can travel with core family members visa free, which we did before brexit.

We haven’t gone on a trip post brexit and hence the apprehension if we would have issues with traveling to EU from UK with my partner visa free.

Destination is in Spain.

Can someone please clarify if a UK resident non-EU spouse of an EU citizen must apply for visa to visit Spain.
Prior to brexit, I travelled with my residence card. Can I exercise right of movement to enter Spain (with documents like a marriage certificate in addition to my passport) or apply for the visa?

I use Azimo and haven’t had any need to worry. You don’t upload proof of ID for every transaction

Thank you

Yes you will be asked to upload an ID the moment you start sending higher figure, you will only be asked to do this once

Recent review on Azimo vs Worldremit

This experiment was conducted twice........

Azimo took under 55 seconds to credit my account, makes me feel Azimo's crediting facilities are fully automated.....

Worldremit unbelievably credited my account, after 8 hours of funds transfer.....

Rates : About the same.......

Hello,

I hope you are well.

I tried to use Azimo for a transfer and I’ve been asked to upload a proof of ID. Do I have anything to worry about doing this and would I have to upload it once or for every transaction?

Cheers

I am being asked to upload a proof of ID before my transfers are done, is this the norm?
I am being skeptical to do so but can someone please verify this has to be done before every transfer or just this once.

Cheers

Happy new year.

I’d like to send a parcel(stuffed “Ghana-must-go” bag) back home, kindly recommend a reliable service that would deliver from the midlands to doorstep of stated address in Nigeria.

Hi
Can somebody please verify if an EEA residence card holder (issued in the U.K ) can travel to Lithuania(with EEA spouse) without applying for Schengen Visa?

Hi

As I don’t seek luxury, I would like to know which option is better in terms of getting a car;
- via finance (paying tad bits per month with an agreed APR for 60months)
- buy upfront a self test driven one advertised online(on a budget)

Moreover, I have never used Azimo nor world remit before, if anyone has please let me know as I am skeptical about it. Is it reliable for transactions and how soon does it reflect in the account?

Cheers

For this reason, we exclude you from tithe payments...

Congratulations.....

Thanks a lot!

Do you render “postgraduate” services? Lol

I ask because I’m about to apply for an EEA residence card...I’ve read the guidelines from UKVI site but I need thy assistance for absolute verification.

What support documents do you reckon I submit for the aforementioned cause?

Cheers

I found this thread right on time.

Which of these two would be suitable for a newly wed couple(with no kids yet) to reside : studio flat vs 1 bedroom flat?

Where can good furniture(especially king size bed & sofa, coffee table) be purchased “affordably”? I’ve checked Argos but want more options

I’d appreciate your opinions

I bookmarked this page and visited daily, reading up clues as well as successful timelines....

I finally have the floor to state mine!

This is my timeline for an EEA family permit:

Application submitted online: 10th Nov 2018
Biometrics appointment(earliest date): 19th Nov 2018
Application received by UKVI: 20th Nov 2018
Decision made: 3rd Dec 2018
Vignette dated 29th Nov 2018, just 10 days after my biometrics appointment

I am still numb, God is really faithful and true!!

Miss my husband so damn much!! Here I come honey!!!
Woooohoooo!!!!!

Photocopies not required....... You submit your PP in Nigeria, while sponsor sends supporting documents to Sheffield.........

I had my biometrics appointment(for EEA family permit) yesterday, all the documents were appropriately classified and scanned.

Hence, the impatient wait begins cry cry cry

Hope you’re having a productive day?
I’d like to know if an overdraft would hinder submission of the bank statement or is it regardless, to back up the amount credited as shown on the corresponding payslips

Hi,

My appointment for EEA FP is coming up and I’d like to know if I have to make photocopies of the documents.

I ask because last summer I made copies for my successful visitor visa appointment and it wasn’t touched(except for my passport’s data page) as my original documents were scanned, is it still the same?

Kindly let me know

Cheers

You can submit 6 months also, but ensure the last 3 months is in agreement to terms ......

What terms please?

Are you referring to the bank statements depicting the credited amounts as shown on the payslips , verifying the £18,600 benchmark or a specific minimum balance?

More Items to prove a subsisting relationship........

In my previous list, I mentioned; dated fb chats from 2016 till now, dated pictures of us from 2016-2018, my UK vignettes and flight tickets, sponsor’s 9ja vignette and flight ticket...

What more items do you propound?

I have some call logs but it’s not consistent and I’m unable to retrieve them

Both sponsor and applicant, are resident in the UK ? And you require only 3 months for EEA application (but six months is not an overkill).....

Sponsor is resident in the U.K. while the applicant is in 9ja

We also weren’t sure how many months were required for the it but thanks for mentioning it

No corresponding bank statements?

Besides the corresponding bank statements you pointed out, are there any other documents I need to add to the ones I listed out previously?

I would definitely add the bank statements, thanks.
