Log into the router dashboard, you should be able to see it there.

Which of the routers do you have?
Do you mean the mtn fibreX dashboard?
I have the Huawei optixstar hg8145x6-10 router

Pls is there a way to check and know how many people exactly that are connected to my FibreX at any point in time?

I got connected to An agent that assisted my friend with installing his fiberx and he requested for some of my information after which I received a payment link from mtn. I made the payment successfully and since then I've not received any other details (asides payment receipt). He's claiming I should have gotten an email with an attached document and some other details.
Yes he's right you should get an email, but sometimes they make a mistake of not sending it, just as they didn't send me an onboarding email too .But he should be able to assist you with just your receipt. But if he can't, I would advise you to call the FibreX helpline 217 from an MTN phone and follow the voice prompts and you can put the last 6 digits of your MTN number when they ask for your FN ID. You can then ask for help when they finally connect you with a customer care rep.
You might need to wait for a while before you're put through to an agent

Service on my My fiberX has just been restored after a down time of about 6weeks. Pls does anyone here have an idea of how I can request for restoration of 3 weeks of unused days. Because I need them to reimburse me for the 3weeks unused days o..
Has anyone here ever being reimbursed in a similar situation?
An update on the above post. So I switched on my router this morning and saw that I could browse with it. I had switched off my router after my subscription had ended and service was restored . I had been checking my fibreX dashboard to see if they have compensated me for the down time and up until this morning it was still saying that I had no ongoing plan and that my wallet was zero, because I had called customer care to request for a compensation of down time which amounted to 21days and the lady I spoke to had told me that I'll see the credit on my dash board when I'm compensated. So mtn has compensated me after all without my knowledge

I think a permanent ban affects your immigrant visa….. anyway, Me I even paid in full( 32k dollars). I informed the embassy before going (through a letter of intent). I declared where I should. I was truthful and honest to the core after all that was my 10th or 11th US visa and that was my second missionary journey. It wasn’t even at the embassy for an interview that day. I just escorted someone lol. I still got a permanent ban saying I used a B1/B2 visa for child birth after 2020 (when it was discontinued) .. therefore I misrepresented myself by doing that (saying my visa is for one thing and using it for another) hence the permanent ban. If it didn’t happen to me, I would have thought the story was a lie
It took sweat, money and time to challenge it. But I did and I’m glad it was taken off. I’m glad I sent the letter of intent too. That was the proof that I didn’t misrepresent anything. Thank God
Thank God the ban was revoked. I wouldn't advise any body I know to apply for a US visa at the moment cause their hostility is legendary

My fiberX has stopped working for more than a week now Pls do you guys know if mtn entertains fibreX complaints at their local office, because I've called their 217 line severally to complain, also left several messages on their wassap numbers too,all to no avail, meanwhile my subscription is running out
This is more than 2 weeks of almost daily complaints and calls to 217 and My fiberX is still not working and the sad part is my subscription is running

That they've escalated it. Which in actual sense doesn't mean jack

My fiberX in New Bodija area of Ibadan stopped working exactly about 5 days ago without any prior warning, I've reached out to mtn severally on 217 all they keep saying is that they've escalated the issue. Meanwhile it's not as if they would add the downtime days to your subscription o

If it blinking red, that means something is most likely wrong with the connection maybe bad cable or something

It was on and all green, just the pon blinking green as well but the rep said they couldn't see it
This simply means that it has not been registered in their system. Do you have an FN ID number,if no,one has to be generated for you before any thing can be done.
I had the same problem, but the lady that I spoke with when I called 217 help desk asked me some questions and sorted it out for me and I was activated after 48hrs. One more thing, your router has to be on 24/7 so that they can access it when ever they are ready to activate it

Generic responses is what I've been getting
You'll have to really give them hell before they move their ass and do the needful, mine took about a week after installation before it started working, there is no body I didn't call in mtn,I almost called the MD self, before they decided to activate it. My next door neighbour that was doing gentleman with them suffered o,my one month subscription had expired before his own started working

Installers are the biggest issue, since MTN outsources it. You dey install fiber, you no go carry tool to test for signal.
In my own case I had to provide them with, lader, hammer & clips. What an incompetent bunch.

Mtn fibrex, once you have an issue, they won't attend to you o,

My router has been here for over 3 weeks, not working, they have refused to respond to all queries. Called, visited their office, nothing was done.

They will install for you and disappear.
It's only to advertise they know o . Their service is very very bad. If you have an alternative pls go for it.
Mtn fiberX you guys need to do better, you're about to turn yourselves to Nitel of old, where customers will be begging and negotiating before you attend to faults and complains. If you don't improve you will go the way of Old Nitel.Thank God its just one month subscription. If you guys don't improve a lot of people will dump your router in the trash after the expiration of their one month subscription and move on,thank God the router is even free.

Pls guys, does the router need to be on for activation to take place. My friend whom dey installed our routers at the same time 8 days ago is still having issues with his own activation.we've called 217 for activation and still nothing yet.I'm suspecting that the problem he has is because he only has light in the night when he comes back from work and put on his Generator. So maybe activation is been attempted during the day when there's no light to power the router. Is this a possible scenario?

I had to chase them around yesterday for a whole 5 days I must have called and charted with about 7 different people yesterday all in an attempt to get it working, something that I should just pay and relax and you tell me when to switch on. No customer relations, most of them don't even have an idea of what the problem was
It's only 2 phones that are connected and I'm getting the above speed o

Great, now that you have your FN ID the matter should be resolved swiftly...
If the agent did his job properly, the FN ID is something that should have been sent to you right after the installation.
My thoughts exactly,I new the agent had f---ed up from the way he was monkeying around,he was so clueless about what to do. I just knew something wasn't adding up.

Input your MTN phone number and take the option to speak to an agent. You'll probably not have to wait more than a minute or two.
Thanks for your directive which I followed,I eventually spoke with a lady who generated an FN number for me cause I was not originally emailed any. She now said she would forward my details to the department concerned for them to activate the router. Meanwhile the stupid agent I paid money to didn't even do anything since on Wednesday that we've been on this mater.
PhonesRe: MTN FibreX - Installation, Speed Tests, Availability, And All You Need To Know by dere5:
nani667:
Message the agents that installed, or dial 217
I've tried calling 217 I got a voice prompt that said I should enter the first six numbers of my snid, which I did and it said it was an invalid number. Is the Fnid number not the SN number behind the router?
I think my router is not yet activated so it might not be registered in their system .
As per the agent,I've called him severally, same response which is 'I will escalate the issue'
I sincerely believe that they are not telling me the truth, something is not clear
