I know some of us here have been waiting for me to share this transcript , believe me I had it in mind all these while but I got so busy in the last few weeks that it became "work" for me to sit down and type something this long.Especially with the plot twist(like in a movie) that made the story a long one.But I knew I was going to to do it eventually , for others to learn from it.

We had our interview scheduled for Thursday 27th June,2019 (6: 30 am).Me and DW had flown into Lagos the previous day as we do not stay in Lagos.
After a long wait going through the screening and intake sections , we finally landed in front of this young white lady VO .She had been dishing out pink papers to people before us like that's what she's just there for, lol.

Na wah o! This one shake me o. What could have been their reasons for rejecting you the us visa after you had been told during the interview that your visa had been granted,I refuse to believe that it was because Canada had rejected you earlier, since when has one country's rejection being a basis for another to-do same

Hi everyone,
I have a child with a US passport and intend traveling for my second baby.
Child will travel with me.
I have valid B1/B2 visa which was vacation purpose and got it 8 months before I was pregnant.well did not plan to have child but it came.
I don't intend asking for change of intent at a critical time like this.
All receipts of first child's payment and appointment with Dr for this present delivery is available.
At point of entry what should be my purpose of trip?
Your advise pls
Thanks.

The purpose for the trip should be that you are there to give birth. From what you wrote I can see that you're well prepared, and if by chance the issue of the visa not being for birthing comes up,you can explain yourself properly that it was initially gotten for vacation before you got pregnant. All the best.

Good evening my wonderful people. God bless you all.

Pls I need your advice. I had my baby in 2018 with my B2 Visa and all hospital bills paid with all receipt collected.

I am few weeks gone now, due date is ending of Jan 2020 and my Visa will expire by ending of Feb, 2020. I would like to know if I can still use the same Visa to birth my 2nd baby and pls can DH apply for his own Visa without us going with him to the embassy?

Thank you for your response in anticipation.
Yes you can still use the visa, the important thing here is that you get into the US before the visa expires, what you should concern yourself with is the duration of stay that the CBP officer stamps you in for at Poe.
Yes, your husband can apply without you going with him, infact you won't be allowed to go in with him if you are not applying together with him.

Actually, not quite correct.
For booking.com, you will have to check and make sure the hotel/ accommodation you are booking had FREE CANCELLATION otherwise your card will be debited or a hold placed on funds depending on the policy of the hotel you choose so check and make sure.

For air bob, most accommodations will ask for some kind of upfront payment, and some do have free cancellation. Again, it’s accommodation dependent and you have to read the terms and cancellation policies of the host before booking.

Yeah, you're right, forgot to add the free cancellation bit. Thanks for bringing it up.

Hi house, I want to know how airbnb.com works for those that have used it in the past. Do I have to make payment for at least 1 month to be able to book the place down? is there any other alternative site I can use to make apartment bookings, I'll appreciate some help here. I am filling this DS-160 form and I need to add an address of where DW will be staying since we have no one in the states, any help on this aspect too will be of great value to me.
Thanks.

Go to booking.com and use your Naija ATM card and make a reservation at any accommodation close to the hospital your wife is using, and print out your reservation. You will not be charged until the date of your booking. Make sure you cancel it a day before the due date if you are not going to use it so that your card won't be charged if not you'll be charged for a night if you don't cancel or show up.
No you don't have to make payment for at least one month to be able to book airbnb. You pay for the number of days needed.

I’ve been reading quora.com and posts from a recently retired us consular on there , she answers a few questions discretionarily and dvd has said it countless times that she hears people panic when they don’t use their visa and she’s even heard that you won’t get issued another , she went further to answer that not using your visa gives you extra points and it doesn’t matter at all if you didn’t use it

Thanks for taking time out to attend to this.

As against what is on the cap of my 2011 Corolla (0w20), my mechanic uses Toyota 5w20, which i buy 4k per litre. Pls i want to ask if its good for my engine, i just got reading about engine oils, viscousity etc.

Would like some enlightenment, and advice pls.
Is your oil full Synthetic, Synthetic blend or mineral?5w20 is very ideal for your car, your mechanic upgraded the oil from 0w20 to 5w20 because of our hot weather in Nigeria. And if you car is a high mileage car, that is,if your odometer is above 100,000 miles I'll advise you use 5w30.

I am so happy and elated for you. Please house I have a different problem. We were issued a U.S visa sometime March last year and I have visited twice while my wife was yet to use her own. She was asked wether she was pregnant last year and she said no she was not. She is now pregnant and wants to give birth in the U.s.
I am in a fix as regarding if we should write to the embassy to inform them of our plab or just travel cos we have bought our ticket already?
Please help a brother

Let me advice you to the best of my knowledge. There have been people here who were issued visas like your dear wife for vacation and later wrote to the embassy that they wanted to use the visa for birthing and they got a letter from the US embassy Informing them that the visa has been canceled.
So I would advice you to jejely tell your wife to reapply straight away and not write any letter, this would show the visa officer that you guys are sincere and straight forward. Someone on this thread followed this route and she got her visa. Do not write any letter o, just apply straight away.
