Pls house, I'm having difficulty uploading my photograph to the DS160 form. Can the Form be submitted without uploading passport photo? You could do this in the past, but I dont know if this is still possible.

Hello everyone, weldone for all valuable and useful contributions on here.please I need a little clarification ,I am waiting to go for my 221g follow up interview next month which I have been waiting for since about 6 months ago.my passport got renewed during this period,I have both the old and the new passports with me.please do I need to complete another DS160 form? Please can someone kindly help with this information.

Why don't you call the embassy or send them an email to confirm what to do. Left to me ordinarily, I would have thought that since your passport number has changed you might need to fill out a new DS160 Form

Hello everyone, so i proceeded to apply for a B2 visa, i havent gotten a date yet but i have applied on the Website. My issue now is people are saying that since i have a valid B1B2 visa, even if i apply for a B2 visa i will still be issued a B1B2 visa. That applying for a new visa when i still have a valid one makes no sense and waste of money. My current visa expires in December 2019.

I am just confused at this point sef.

Biko guys come to my aid oo, since i have a valid visa i dont need to apply for a new one. that its only when it expires and i want to go give birth that is when i will apply specifically for B2 visa.

Friends in the house help crack this ooo....
The matter is straight forward, no need to be confused.
Was your present visa issued for child birth, if no, you have 2 options.
Option one, take the risk and travel with it, you just might be lucky to scale through cbp at poe
Option 2,apply for a new visa and state categorically that you are going for child birth.
All things considered,if I were you, I'll take the 2nd option.

I would advice that when you travel by May try and do your Canadian visa in us it takes about 1 or 2 weeks that way when you are renewing your us visa you won’t be desperate and having the Canadian visa will help your case. You can also renew your us visa before it expires.

Pls I want to confirm if it's possible to apply and get a Canadian visa in America with your nigerian passport when you are in the us on visiting?

I dont know if it stupid to actually call now and pay it up to 10k
Am having a real headache
My friend ended up with a 25k bill her baby had jaundice she even did payment plan the vo was so happy with her ,i was consoling her then o now i donno if i shud be jealous of her bill lol.....hmmm
Same with a friend's baby who had some issues and was taking to Nicu, with discount and plenty abeg her bills was discounted down to about 18k which she ended up settling via payment plan. Fast forward to drop box visa renewal and she was invited for interview and visa was granted. Nothing satisfies these Vo's these days like high bills

1. which is cheaper between USA or Canada?
2. how much do I need for visa and the total costs for me and my mom, please the amount should be in naira, I'm not too good with dollar equivalent?
3. is a budget of 3million naira enough?
4. do I need to travel there before delivery or will a virgin passport be rejected?
please I would love answers from experienced people, thanks.

1) I can't really say which is cheaper between USA & Canada
2) visa fee is $160 each, which should be approximately around 58k each in naira
3) I don't think 3 Million naira total budget will do it, cause that's less than $10k
4) You don't need to have travelled before, people have gotten visas here on virgin passport

My question is, 1.has anyone experienced this kinda thing with dr fs package, do they have anything against him?
2. Was I wrong to have used the Visa for the same purpose twice as that's what really ticked her off
3. I'm expecting now and intend to travel again, my husband wants to go for the interview to also renew his Visa but he didn't use the last one he was issued, it was a training but it was later done in Nigeria and being busy never really had the time to travel. Is it wise to apply with him or go alone .
Please I need answers on how to proceed a new doctor since dr f, didn't seem to go down well with her.
Thanks everyone.
I think what happened during your interview was quite unfortunate. I also think the VO was just looking for a reason to deny you as it is their custom these days. They've been frowning at some low bills even though I'm sure they know deep down themselves that even though the bills are low, that they are genuine.
You were not wrong in using the same medical visa for 2 births. In fact people have been known to use visiting visa for 2 birth, talkless of you that used medical visa.
I'll advise you to apply again with your husband and present a new Dr correspondence that's in the neighborhood of 10k and above, and let's see what happens. All the best.

Good day all,I sent my passport in for renewal of my visa in December, passport was sent back with a 221g paper.
I tried to schedule a follow up appointment and got a date this same January.
On the 221g form,I was asked to bring my bills for child birth.

I replied and told him, child birth.
He asked to see evidence of payments.
I started giving the receipts one after the other and explaining the receipts to him.
He then told me that the average cost of birth in Texas is $33,000 and my hospital bill is showing way below that.
He said taxpayers get to bear the burden of this underpayment and the government.
I then showed him the mail I sent Dr X when I took in and and the bills I was sent from both Dr X and HNWMC. I told him I paid what I was asked to pay and even have receipts for as little as passport photograph I took for the baby at the passport office. He smiled and continued typing.
He asked what other countries I have been too and I told him,Canada,Uk,Spain,France,Germany,South Africa,UAE,Belgium etc.

Congratulations, I guess you are among the lucky few. God must have touched his heart, because from the way your interview was going I was almost certain that he wasn't going to give you the visa, but thank God it turned around for your favor

Good Morning all... I did my Dropbox in December 2018 and just got a text message this January 2019 that my passport is ready for pick up... also got an email confirming same. But before then I tracked it online and noticed it showed me on the dash board available appointment date. Please does this mean I am being invited for interview or what... I am yet to collect my passport. Did not receive any call or sms inviting me.

Can anyone advice on what to Do, as this is strange to me...
Kings

Most very likely you have been scheduled for a follow up interview. The surest way to confirm is when you get your passport back if there is a visa in it or not, and if not, visit your dashboard click on the available appointment date and it will take you to a date, if you are not satisfied with that date, wait for a while and visit again until you see a date you are conformable with and lock it down.

Good morning all, my daughter applied for a US visa and got it. Passport was delivered to DHL, but we were not able to get it on time, and now it has being returned back to the US embassy/consulate. Please how do we get the passport back?

Is there a procedure, number, email, or what do we have to do? I have emailed the Abuja Consulate but i got a generic answer with non referring to this situation. Please help.

Tell your daughter to phone them and explain herself.

Happy New Year everyone. I just delivered my baby boy( 1jan ) Please can anyone help outline the requirements for baby’s US passport and Nigeria visa or passport. I can’t find it on recent post. Thanks n God bless us all.

Congratulations! Give your location so that people that have given birth in that city or state can give you accurate step by step procedural details of how to go about it and how long the whole process is likely to take.

Hello everyone,

I really need your help; I have a B1/B2 valid visa which I have use before; am due to travel in February and I sent an email to the embassy informing them that I would be traveling to have my baby and I got the below response from them less than an hour ago. Please I need advise on how to book a second appointment and what to expect. Thanks

“Thank you for your inquiry.

Our records indicate that you applied for a different purpose of travel during your recent interview and/or DS-160 form submission. As your purpose of travel has now changed significantly to include medical treatment in the United States, you will need to return to the Consulate for a second interview. Please note that your visa is not valid for travel at this time.

Waoh, this is definitely a game changer.
OK now, this brings to an end the era of change of intent letter. People in similar situations are faced with 2 options, either to travel without informing the embassy and hope for the best at POE or apply for a fresh medical visa.

How's our preggy mamas doing . I wish everyone safe delivery. Pls how many times can one do Dropbox on Usa visa as I hv renewed once using Dropbox before and my visa Is expired now . Am I still going to do Dropbox this time around .
Yes you can do drop box as many times as you want, there's no how many time limit. The important thing there is don't wait for too long before you apply cause I think it has a one year time frame from visa expiration date.

Please, can a baby travel with just birth certificate and a letter from the parents giving grandma permission to fly to Nigeria with the baby? No ETC or UK passport for the baby because both parents are not British.

Without passport or visa on arrival? I don't think it's possible o.

Hello all.

Who has travelled with 1 month for the us visa to expire to give birth and stayed for about 4 months?

I intend doing this.

Advice pls

No biggie, what matters is the duration the cbp officer stamps you in for, this would ditermine how long you'll stay

How do you know this, VO told you or you made an inquiry and it was highlighted?
I have always advocated for what's the true picture of things and not assumptions but if you have proofs of this, do share. We put so much mystery around this whole visa thing.
Do a search of birth centers on this thread then come back and comment again

Hello all.
Does anyone have info about going to deliver at a birthing center as against a hospital?
Please assist. Thanks!

Birth center delivery is frowned at by Visa officers. The only condition I would advice the use of a birth center is if you got the visa for that purpose, in other words, you told the visa officer that you plant to use a birth center and they went ahead and still gave you the visa

Dear Joanna,

Please I would appreciate a draft copy of burden of proof as well.
I already saw that of budget spreadsheet which you posted. Or was it someone else?
My email is mojisolacoker@yahoo.co.uk
That you very much my sister

To the best of my knowledge "Burden of proof" is not a single document (typed or written) . It a term used to refer to all the documents you take to support your claim /application when going for the visa interview to convince the Vo that you are actually going fot birthing and nothing else

Hello please am new here and I need an urgent advice
I got my first visa in 2014 and I travelled to visit then went again to give birth note all this journeys has been as a family
I renewed successfully with drop box and after that used twice again the 2 years visa with my family
Now my visa is expiring and I intend doing another drop box but people’s have been scaring me with saying people are having drop box issue renewals
I don’t intend using the visa for anything other than to visit what do you suggest do I do the drop box or just pick interview and declare the birthing even dou I have renewed successfully

Do Dropbox and if peradventure they call you for follow up interview you go prepared.
