Aigbofa: How about his many first in Africa achievements? TV, Stadium , education and many more?

He was not only the greatest in Nigeria but one of the greatest to walk the face of Africa.
I fundamentally detest the ideas of cheat beating and arrogation of emptiness commonly seen among certain people in Nigeria. There was western regional government of Nigeria and so was Awolowo.

REHOZIBAH: Is governance suffering as a result of that action? Are Imolites complaining? I even think there is some positives in the action as the humongous salary and allowance that would have been used to pay those set of people would be deployed to other areas for the good of the people

Gov Rauf Aregbesola did same in Osun for some months, never did we hear the people shout or protest about that and the smooth running of the state was nt disrupted in any ways

What some of us don't kno is that its even the civil servants headed by the Permanent secretaries and directors in most ministries that does the bulk of the job but the political appointees just provide administrative support for the core staff
When you were writing the above crap, did you contemplate that the position of governor is equally a waste? If a thing needs to be done at all, we must strive to do it the right way.

mikeansy: Not sure you have a sense of reasoning

The APGA folks who have been made to vote for this guy dont know where he stands on anything!

Is that not fraud? is this how politics should work?

I think you should go burry your head in the sand for not saying things as it is and standing up for the truth!
The only fraud I saw was the so-called consensus candidate Anambra State wing of APC presented and when challenged by well-intended party members, the so-called consensus candidate became contentious one.
I strongly believe that Chief Obafemi Awolowo was Nigeria most enlightened and progressive politician. His developmental vision is second to none. The western region that he governed was the most developed in terms of infrastructure and welfare package. Check OAU that he established over 50 yrs ago still remains nigeria's best university today let me know who do you think has acheived more than Chief Awolowo who also introduce free education in the then western region?.
The above poster is the major embodiment of Africa’s problem. What makes Awolowo the most enlightened and progressive politician in Nigeria? How could you measure the instances of free education in western region as compared with other regions where people are meant to understand the value of education? Besides money from government or through the domain of government, what did Awolowo achieve?

@OP

The list of appointees by the governor of Ondo State will look like a child’s play when compared with appointees by the governor of Lagos State .

hardywaltz: Stale news....
I'm pretty sure u didn't do ur research else you would have known that Justtice Agumagu is the most senior high court Judge but on Secondment to the Customary Court of Appeal.
Moveova Ameachi is not the 1st Gov to take such an action but ofcourse u wouldn't know that.
Do a little reseach it won't hurt u ok
Please can you inform when Justice Agumagu graduated from University, called to Nigerian bar and bench?

chukwudi44: i would rather vote in a thief like Ifeanyi Uba than vote in a traitor like Ngige.A thief might steal from you but a traitor would sell you off to the highest bidder
You could not be more correct with above post. Only delude jackass will wade through a river without bath. Everybody in Nigeria who seeks the position of governor of a state or president of the country is a born again thief. Like you said in the above post, I had rather entrust my ban in the hand of a thief than a traitor. A thief will steal my yams but a traitor will want me dead.
Politics › Re: Anambra 2013: Say No To Handing Over Anambra State To Fidelity Bank by DerideGull(m): 4:50pm On Aug 30, 2013
djfaithy: . Hey guy no fall my hand oooo, so who is the chief security officer of anambra if its not peter obi huh......I'm just asking because I don't know so please don't insult me lol...........200 million mumu
You can not be a CEO of company and at the same the gateman. Like anything in Nigeria, the society tends to turn everything upside down. In a normal society with the population of goons considerable less than people with average intellect, chief security officer of any state is the state commissioner of police or otherwise stipulated.
Politics › Re: What Is Wrong With Northern Governors:my Major Concern For Nigeria by DerideGull(m): 3:09pm On Aug 30, 2013

I hope the jungle called Nigeria does not see 2030. The governors of the states in northern region as you have mentioned in the post have a president from the southern region to blame.

@Beaf!

Have you considered the hiccup in grammar found among people such as Dame Patience is one of the consequences of imposing on the Nigerians a foreign language as official medium of expression?

alexchiny: And what are Ngige's Achievements? Ohh, let me list them
1. Okija shrine visitor.
2. Electoral mandate thief
3. A dormant Senator for 3 years
4. Introduced us to politics of Thuggery and touting.

Rubbish.
Who knows which deity Ngige is visiting in Yoruba land as we debate? A man of upright character would not have visited the Okija deity in the first instance talk less talking about it later.

FreeGlobe: Americans would rather remain in their country than move elsewhere except expatriates or those going on vacay/Tourism. As a matter of fact most Americans think other continents are still in the stone age, Even Canada which is close by is greatly despised by Americans so I don't get you.
Are you now insinuating that all the Anambra people are hungering to go to Lagos State? Of course, majority of citizens of USA would rather stay home than move to foreign countries due to liberty they enjoy at home. However, it is not the abundance of skyscrapers, hanging bridges and ten lane carriageways that keep them home.
Politics › Re: Anambra 2013: Say No To Handing Over Anambra State To Fidelity Bank by DerideGull(m): 1:34pm On Aug 30, 2013
FreeGlobe: far better governed than Anambra. Fashola is a Yoruba, Ngige is Igbo and has not denied his igboness like the igbokwes. Its like asking for another Theordore Orji in Abia because we want to soothe our egos. We will encourage more deportations in the future, Our people needs governors whose performance will make them not have the need to go to Lagos to search for 'better life'.
It is unfortunate some people think the state of affluence will determine the movement of people, thus, to stay home or explore. If such crass illogicality is remotely true, citizens of USA will not leave the shores of Old Glory to seek relevance somewhere else.

Clerverly: Idiatic ranting! So peter obi, willy obiano, tony nwoye are all human right defenders?? Everyday corpses of our brothers and sisters are brought in fron north, yet your so called human right defender peter obi is yet to use his position as chief security officer of the state to condemn it because it has nothhing to with Anambra Politics. Keep deluding yourself.
The above is ranting of a fool. Peter Obi is not the chief security officer of Anambra State. At least, you have average intellect to note that dead bodies came from north. I guess you want Peter Obi to command Anambra State’s Army to match to the northern region of Nigeria and settle scores. I had expected you as a concerned Nigerian to say there is a crack team of commandos led by you and heading to northern region to stop the killings.

Americans say give me dignity or death. What is the essence of being a builder of idiotic roads built of asphalt and structures built of cement and corrugated iron sheets without being a defender of human right? Ngige reminds me of saboteurs during Nigeria/Biafra civil war. The dude is another Ukpabi Asika.

chiover: Is politics about party or individual?
Politics is very local. On this note, Efulefu called Ngige is a shame. I guess he will tell Anambra people during his campaign stops that it is humanly pleasing for Yoruba to deport Igbo from Lagos State.
Politics › Re: Anambra Guber Polls: Say No To Lagos District Officer, Ngige by DerideGull(m):
REHOZIBAH: Its a pity that tribal bigots and ethnic acid-talkers have done an incalculable damage to 2 otherwise friendly tribes

The saddening part is how some 'educated' folks will equate the gaffes or faux pas behaviour of a miniscule number of individual from an ethnic stock to paint the whole of them as bad.....its even more alarming, discomfitting that these same people are even prepared to disown their own father and label him a traitor if such one decides to as much as hold a different view and opinion as against their own mob/clannish mentality

To call Ngige a traitor or even lie maniacally that he didn't do anything about the saga when infact he did a lot as stated by you to get the true picture of events which eventually showed that it was Peter Obi that failed to follow thru on the line of communication already established between ANSG n LASG who unfortunately did what it thought was best in under that prevailing circumstances is to me a height of rambunctious pettiness

Pray does an average Igbo man or youth wish that situation or relationship breaks down between you and the yorubas irretrieveably despite all that is at stake for you people? Hence playing divisive and dangerous politics of the precipice
It is either you are apathetic to historical facts or outright clueless. There has never been any time in history when Yoruba and Igbo are friendly and will not start by mere inconsequential dreams of a bystander. I do not give a hoot about idiotic “line of communication” as stated in the above post.

The fundamental point in the saga is a character such as Babatunde Fashola who moronically masquerades around the jungle called Nigeria as a SAN knew it is an abuse of inalienable human right to forcefully relocates a citizen of a country from one city to another under the pretence of destitute. I pray almighty Allah shall strike him with insolvable poverty.
Politics › Re: Anambra 2013: Say No To Handing Over Anambra State To Fidelity Bank by DerideGull(m): 12:32pm On Aug 30, 2013
I had rather handover Anambra State to Fidelity Bank or Ochanja Market Union than Efulefu such as Ngige. I do not want to drive on the road which its construction is supervised by Yoruba agent such as Ngige, aluu.

Awake9ja: why is it that Yoruba men does everything possible to date women from old eastern bloc?

they reject their own women and even the easterners don't like dating Yoruba girls too.
If eastern region of Nigeria is a sovereign state, Ileke-idi’s passport would have been seized for more than required frequent entries. Yoruba women are forcing themselves on the easterners.

But my political views about Imo state still stands. We must not reason from the same point of view. cool
I do not think the word-caution indicates stop. I hope you remain unflinching in your political stands when a street tout from Orlu is no longer the governor of Imo State. Untied time ticks away sooner than you expected.
peter obi spent 8 years and honestly there is little to show for that
his open imposition of this fidelity bank fella has proven to us why obi failed in office
the last thing we want or need now in anambra state is another peter obi or his crony who would be obviously worse than him!
ngige built some of the best roads in anambra that even link other igbo states
peter obi tried to copy that, but the quality of obis roads can never match ngiges.
fake is fake, while real is real.
ngige is real, obi is fake!
Do you actully know Mazi Ngige?
Politics › Re: SEN. NGIGE PANICS OVER WILLIE OBIANO by DerideGull(m): 8:34pm On Aug 29, 2013
please my brother never mention ngige and orji in one sentence please!
ngige's legacy is still there for all to see. nobody in his right senses will ever accuse ngige of non-performance in office. ngige also never deported other igbo from anambra state. lets keep focus please.
the only "crime" ngige committed was to keep mute over the deportation issue
that can never equate peter obis hijacking of our political vehicle for his selfish aims.

if ngige cannot qualify for a cup of palm wine in igboland, then peter obi and his crony cannot even be given mere handshake in the igbo nation, talk less of sharing palm wine!
igbo people met and consulted to unite under APGA and a certain candidate; peter obi thrashed all that and imposed his crony. today we have no political base in nigeria.
please lets call a spade a spade!
Legacy does not die a sudden death. For the sake of triviality, Ngige’s so-called legacy would have seen Anambra State and other Igbo state enclaves flourish with envy. I must state again that development is sourced through the structure of mind. Until we learn to think that a destitute among us is a valuable asset, we will continue blunder.
Politics › Re: SEN. NGIGE PANICS OVER WILLIE OBIANO by DerideGull(m): 8:17pm On Aug 29, 2013
I have come to realize that what makes USA so strong is not its capital prowess but the ability of the people to demonstrate the tonic of patriotism toward each other. Mazi Ngige will never qualify for a full cup of palm wine in Igbo land. The same scenario awaits the governor of Abia State, T Orji.

What time factor are you on about in the above post? Empty pocket is a sure sign to avoid Ibari Ogwa.
