Most people who invented vehicles did not see the four walls of any school. If your friend was brilliant as you would want us to believe, he would been better than a village farmer. He would have developed into something more than a village farmer. There are many people in Imo State who had university degrees and yet worse than a village farmer.

Guys, we are all educated on one way or the other and it’s good to know the facts before we comment and condemn one party over the other.

GTB financed importation of Goods for innoson. Innoson forged the bank’s Signature and stamps to clear the Goods from the ports. Efcc and police investigations have confirmed this. Till this minute, original shipping documents are with GTB. How did the Goods leave the port? Innoson should answer that question.

Rather than pay his debt to GTB, he filed an action against the bank alleging excess charges. This is a purely commercial issue which is currently before the courts and yet to be fully determined. The issue Efcc arrayed him for is forgery. Are u saying a criminal should go free because he is an indigenous vehicle manufacturer? Don’t forget, not just Innoson is facing criminal prosecution. Even the shipping company and shipping agents that facilitated the fraud are not left out of the investigation.

GTB and innoson should conclude their civil matter in court , while the law enforcement agents should be allowed to do their job as far as the issue of crime and fraud is concerned.
Were you present when Innoson forged the bank’s Signature and stamps to clear the Goods from the ports? If this crap you wrote came out of your alleged reading widely, I suggest you stop reading at all. Do you know how many goods that disappeared out of Nigerians ports with forged documents? By the way, why would the bank’s Signature and stamps predict the clearing of goods in the wharf when the bank did not import the goods? The bank a person borrowed the money to import goods has nothing to do with the clearing of the goods from the wharf. The bank knows the importer who borrowed the money from it not the business at the wharf.

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has said President Muhammadu Buhari is a religion and commands a fanatical following in the north.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain said Buhari had a cult-like loyalty in the north.

In a post on Twitter on Saturday, Fani-Kayode stated that defeating the president in 2019 will require courage, aggression, cohesion and ingenuity.

“Buhari is not viewed as just a politician in the north: he is a religion and he commands a fanatical following and cult-like loyalty,” he wrote.

“That is what makes him such a dangerous foe and formidable adversary.

“Defeating him in 2019 will require courage, aggression, cohesion and ingenuity.

Politics › Re: Uche Azikiwe Contradicts IPOB On Biafra by DerideGull(m): 6:17pm On Dec 19, 2017
olokeded:
Prof. Uche Azikiwe, Wife of Nigeria’s First President Nnamdi Azikiwe, has insisted on the indivisibility of Nigeria, a position that is contrary to that of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

While IPOB members in South East are insisting on leaving Nigeria, Nigeria’s first First Lady is eulogising her late husband’s contemporaries for their sacrifice for the unity of the country.

She insists on the unity of Nigeria and commended late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello and others, who sacrificed a lot to build Nigeria.

She urged Nigerians to remain united in honour of the memories of the nation’s founding fathers.

Her position is contrary to the rave in the east where some youths are clamouring for the disintegration of Nigeria.

Azikiwe made the plea on Monday at the Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi during the institution’s 2nd Convocation Lecture with the theme, ‘National Reconciliation and the Role of Universities’.

According to the nation’s former First Lady, Azikiwe was in the forefront in the fight for the unity of Nigeria.

“The country should not be allowed to disintegrate during our time because if it does, my husband and his contemporaries would turn in their graves.

“These founding fathers sacrificed a lot for us to be one irrespective of their differences, and this should make us to collectively find solutions to the problems threatening to disintegrate us,” he said.

Mrs Azikiwe callled reconciliation among various warring groups in the country to ensure the desired peace.

“We should call upon God in solving t.

“The nation’s political class should also be called to order because we gave them the mandates to lead us but unfortunately, they are not doing so rightly,” she said.

Chief Nnia Nwodo, President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo-Socio Political group, said the nation’s universities should play a major role in he problems and seriously address issues of injustice, inequality, among others which threaten our corporate existence as an entityensuring that the nation remains indivisible.

“The universities should thrive to save the country from the obvious and present dangers promoted by gaping sense of hopelessness while returning us to the part of national reconciliation and growth.
“Universities by their nature, are supposed to be places for research, growth of ideas and solution oriented contributions for advancement of mankind,” he said.

He noted that to achieve these goals, the universities should be adequately funded, well managed and intellectually honest.

“I am a product of the university education both in Nigeria and United Kingdom but must confess that most of them in Nigeria have presently fallen below the required standards.

“Universities are staffed and grown by products of primary and secondary schools and if the teaching quality in these schools is poor, the quality of students and graduates of our universities would be correspondingly low,” he said.

He noted that entrances into universities and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) qualifying examinations have been characterized by massive examination leakages and cheatings.

“I taught constitutional law briefly in a Nigerian University and appalled that some students could not even express themselves in readable English and therefore, lack the wherewithal to crystallize answers to basic examination question,” he said.

Prof Chinedum Nwajiuba, the University’s Vice Chancellor noted that the lecture was its contribution to solve nagging questions of unity confronting the country.

“We would continue to produce students who would contribute in the development of the country in all sectors while ensuring the realization of the dreams of our founding fathers,” he said. (NAN)

I am seriously concerned if a person with Prof. affixed to his/her name will use the term, unity, as stated in the above sentence. It could be overlooked if the reference was meant for Union or United. Azikiwe was never in forefront for the unity of Nigeria but independence of Nigeria. I wonder why you should call upon God to "solving the problems and seriously address issues of injustice, inequality, among others which threaten our corporate existence as an entity" yet you have impetus to vomit a crap of certain goons turning in their gravies because the zoo called Nigeria is disintegrated. The country your husband fought for its independence was not envisaged to have "some students could not even express themselves in readable English and therefore, lack the wherewithal to crystallize answers to basic examination question". You are a typical African who seems okay as long as idiotic situation brings daily meals.

A man who is overwhelmed with joy - has expressed thanks to God for saving his life and that of his family after dodging a "poisoned" food meant for them. Emmanuel Ukachukwu‎ took to Facebook to share how his sister left the food (pap) she made outside because she was not with the key to the house.

When his family came back later in the night, they gave a portion of the pap that fell on the ground to their goat on Saturday, December 16.

To their surprise, the goat died the next morning (Sunday).

The young man believes that the pap which was allegedly poisoned killed the goat and could have wasted his family had it been they took it.

Below is what he shared on Facebook;

I bless the Lord how he deliver me and my people from poison. It happen that my Sister left the pap she just grate (grand) outside because she's not with key, so when we all came back in the night, the little that fell to the ground was given to the goat. After service on Sunday morning the goat died. I thank God because if not for that, we will all take that pap this morning and all die, but God save us. Praise the Lord.

ALHAJI Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto has said the reason Nigeria is consistently in a state of commotion is because its people lack education and proper orientation.

Mr. Abubakar said this on Monday while turbaning the Sokoto State Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Sa’idu Umar, as the new ‘Ubandoman’‎ of the state.

“If there was education and proper orientation, all these would not have been happening especially at a time when the country is making efforts to secure its rightful place in the development process of its economy and citizens,” he said.

‎He frowned at those hiding under the umbrella of Islam to carryout callous mission of killings and attacks on innocent citizens in the name of religion.

While urging the new Ubandoma to see his position as a reflection of ‎leadership responsibility not rulership, the Sultan said, “This title is not a mere or conventional title but one with religious responsibilities of leadership to foster the teachings and practice in Islam as well the revered institution of the caliphate.

“We have to stick to and maintain the track records and legacies bequeath us for over 200 years.”

‎Umar after receiving the title pledged his loyalty to the Sultan and the sultanate council with a promise to promote the ideals of the institution in line with the title.

http://headline.com.ng/nigeria-always-crises-sultan/
ALHAJI Sa’ad Abubakar III, I had to burst your bubble on this issue. The is reasons are lack of unity, tribal differences and religious intolerance. There is no amount of education in a given society that can overcome the burden of cultural and traditional differences. The disintegration of Nigeria will see emerged nation states leave in harmony.

I really do not know how old you are and will not speculate. You started this discourse with Federal government of Nigeria. When the crude oil exploration started in the Amalgamated territories, it was solely a matter between private company and colonial masters. However the exploration coincided with creation of regions and regional governments. At this juncture, Nigeria was not yet born as country. From 1954 to 1956, the exploration was entirely between a private company called Shell D'Arcy and Eastern Regional government in the Amalgamated territories. The regional government was to gets the bulk of the proceeds and pays royalty to government at the center. The crap you mentioned came about after the soldiers from northern region of Nigeria took over the government of Nigeria and abolished regional system.

Tinubu made the declaration during a mega rally at the ancient Mapo Hall, while receiving former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala, former Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin and hosts of others into the APC.

Among the defectors are Sen. Brimoh Yusuf, Chief Ayodele Adigun, Hon. Asimiyu Alarape, Hon. Dokun Odebunmi, Hon Ademola Ojo, Chief (Mrs) Olanrewaju Otiti, Mr Rauf Olaniyan and Funke Adesiyan.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the APC National Leader was joined by Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, to receive the defectors.

NAN also reports that the event coincided with the 68th birthday of Ajimobi.

“Today is very important because of the governor’s birthday. I really thank God for my friend, Alao-Akala and others for joining the APC.

“I also thank God for Folarin and Amb. Taofeek Arapaja too. This APC house is great for all of us. I am confident that today’s massive defection into the APC has finished opposition parties in Oyo State.

“We are happy to have you in and we are proud of our party,’’ he said.

The former Lagos State governor said that the APC was the only progressive party in Nigeria and Africa, urging the people to vote APC in the 2019 election.

Ajimobi said that Alao-Akala and other defectors were the few good, intelligent and weighty people in the opposition parties across the state.

“The defection of Alao-Akala and others to the APC is a clear pointer that opposition parties in the state were finished,’’ he said.

Aregbesola and Akeredolu appreciated the massive turnout at the rally, saying they are proud of Ibadan and its people for embracing the APC massively.

Politics › Re: Desperate Search For Oil In North Due To Restructuring Fear — Ekweremadu by DerideGull(m): 1:14pm On Dec 17, 2017
profmiganigal:
Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu has said the ‘desperate search’
for oil in the Lake Chad, Sokoto and River Benue basins was prompted by
the fear of restructuring.
Ekweremadu said this while presenting the third edition of the Adada Lecture Series, organised by the Association of Nsukka Professors, at the
University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
His paper was titled
‘Restructuring and the Nigerian
youth.’

According to him, oil revenue
will soon lose its relevance as
electric cars take over from
petrol- and diesel-powered
vehicles.
Ekweremadu said, contrary to
fears held by some sections of the country that they would lose
out if the country was
restructured, the entire nation would benefit from restructuring.

He said, “Some are afraid of survival under fiscal federalism. They feel they are better off with free monies from Abuja, which could actually be a
pittance compared to what they could generate if they begin to access the
bountiful wealth buried in their soils.

“I have also noticed a desperate search for oil in the Lake Chad, Sokoto,
and Benue River basins in recent times, obviously spurred by the campaign for restructuring.
“But it is an unfounded fear. The days of oil are numbered. It is the least
strategic wealth we have now. Many countries have found oil in large
quantities, including those that used to patronise us for oil. Importantly,
many nations are already phasing out petrol and diesel engines.

“In July 2017, the United Kingdom announced plans to stop the production of petrol- and gas-powered cars from 2040. France has also unveiled plans to ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars from 2040.
“Norway has strong policy actions to ensure that zero fossil fuel cars are sold in the country by 2025. With the second highest concentration of
electric cars in Europe, Netherlands is already targeting an emission-free
environment by 2030, which automatically rules out petrol- and diesel-
powered cars.

“In fact, Netherlands wants at least 200,000 electric cars on her roads by
the year 2020, which is only two
years from now.”
Ekweremadu said the North had
more to gain by embracing fiscal
federalism, and relinquishing its
‘supposed advantages’ in the current structure.
