partial when drawing a map ? come on dude lol. and the slave trade only kicked into full gear in the 1700s and i have looked at the slave names and most of the names i saw there was yoruba. if i find the list of slave names i will put it in the thread. i did not see one single igbo name. i swear to YAH
Are this slow? There was a map of Nigeria that has been circulated on this forum with places such backwater places such as Ogbomosho, Ota, Ibadan and few craps from northern region yet there was not even a single capital city from southeast such as Enugu, Owerri, Umuahia, Awka or Abakaliki on the silly map. It is unfortunate you are hopelessly uninformed that an author decides what is written in a book.

They are indigenous to Nigeria, the reason they were not shown on that map is because
they have not developed past the village clan level and had no significant civilization, a
requirement for being noticed in the 17th century.
Each hamlet was on its own fighting the other hamlets.
Igbo developed one of the complex systems of government, representative system, ever known to mankind. It is the same system called democracy today. The hell on earth given to the British in particular and Europeans in general by the Ndigbo constituted the cornerstone behind the reasons Igbo was very hard to dance on their lips.

so am looking at this map of nigeria in the 1800s and it shows yoruba and hausa and nupe territories and there is no mention of igbo. the igbo territories belonged to Niger protectorate and coast. my question is are igbos really from nigeria ? I am starting to think they migrated from cameroon to that region in the late 1800s. so the question is if they are Cameroonians why do they want to form biafra in nigeria ? look at this map and tell me i am wrong

There are too many airheads in the cesspit called Nigeria. The clueless bunch of nefarious maggots do not have any sense of critical approach to scratched images. In a work such as the map, the onlooker should have asked who was the cartographer and did the sketcher have any ulterior motives? The British and most Europeans have no credibility in anything Nigeria as long as Igbo person is involved.

KEEP YOUR BIAFRA IN THE EAST

…as bringing Biafra to S’West amounts to warmongering

Kanu has no investment in Nigeria –Investors
‘Biafra bigger than Kanu’

We’re excited by his coming –Youths

Paul Ogbuokiri

Igbo leaders and traders in Lagos have expressed disgust at the reported plan by the leader of the separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to storm Lagos soon in continuation of his visits to states of Nigeria, warning him to desist from making such an adventure, because he won’t be welcome in the city.

Most of the Igbo leaders and traders in Lagos who spoke to Sunday Telegraph in separate interviews, warned Mazi Kanu and his followers that by what they profess, “taking their Biafra outside the East amounts to warmongering.”

They further charged them to desisting from heating up the polity by crisscrossing Nigeria in contravention of his bail conditions.

Chief Chiemeka Ibeh of Alaba Amalgamated Traders Association, warned the IPOB leader to stay away from Lagos, urging him to leave Igbos in Lagos alone because his visit to the commercial nerve centre of the country it will create the impression that Igbos in Lagos are supporting Kanu and IPOB activities.

“He should keep his Biafra in the East where our unemployed youths are following him all over the place, not knowing what they are dabbling into. Most of these youth do not understand what Biafra is about and what it has cost Igbo people.

“Since his actions led to the quit notice by the Arewa youths, I expected Kanu to have paid upfront all transport companies on the northern route to be conveying Igbo people who might be interested in coming back to the East, but he has not paid a kobo to anybody. Is he bothered about the economic wellbeing of the people whom his actions could dislocate?”

Also speaking to Sunday Telegraph, High Chief Egbogu Udemba, electronics dealer and a member of the executives of the Alaba International Market Electronic Dealers Association said Biafra is bigger than Kanu and cannot be a project for a young man like him and the youths he controls.

“We appreciate the fact that the agitation is the product of years of neglect and marginalisation of the zone by successive administrations in Nigeria, as you can see that agitations are coming up from different zones of the country now. These issues are things that should be well articulated as Ohanaeze has done and an informed demand made.

“The tension Kanu is creating will not do us any good; it might further drag us back. As you can see our Niger-Delta brothers are concentrating on economic agitations and government is answering them. Nobody is looking in our direction because we are assumed to be asking for Biafra, which unfortunately nobody will give us,” Udemba said.

He further asked, “The two modular oil refineries the Acting President promised the oil producing states, where is Abia’s and Imo’s own or are they not key oil producing states in Nigeria?”

According to him, what the country needs now is restructuring “and the issue is bigger than IPOB, MASSOB and Arewa Youths. Igbo leaders, Igbo intelligentsia, traders associations and our professionals should come together and pursue the cause with one voice.

Udemba said: “Ohanaeze has taken the lead by making the demand for restructuring so that we can have a true federal system of government. I think Kanu should rather mobilise the youths who are listening to him to support the demand, than going from state to state and threatening the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra. He should use the followership he commands to drum support for true federalism.”

This development came as a prominent auto spare-parts dealer at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex and a leader in the Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPAMDA), Chief Alex Ejiofor has warned Nnamdi Kanu to desist from distracting struggling Igbo people from concentrating on finding their daily bread.

He wondered if Kanu had not asked his father what happened to Igbos during and after the civil war. “If his father did not tell him my father told me that we were reduced to the biblical ‘hewers of wood and drawers of water’ in Nigeria at the end of the war in 1970.

It is true that we are still suffering from the effects of that war till today, but Igbos in all parts of Nigeria have made a lot of progress and cannot afford to return to that stage where an Igbo who left over a million British Pounds in his account and ran home for safety at the outbreak of the war, was given 20 Pounds in 1970 after the no victor, no vanquished declaration.”

According to him, Igbos’ investments outside the core Igbo states are in trillions of naira. “What is Kanu thinking about that? And if I may ask, what is the volume of Kanu’s investment either in the South-East or in other parts of the country? Does he not know that he is putting those investments at risk and endangering the source of livelihood of other people? He should perish the thought of coming to Lagos, and if I may advise, he should change strategy or join forces with Ohanaeze.

“He has done well by bringing the marginalisation of the South-East to the front burner again, but should sustain the discussion without causing his people harm,” he said.

The youths who are either apprentice traders or labourers at the Alaba International Market and Trade Fair, however, expressed excitement over of the IPOB leader, stating that they are waiting for him.

“I read it on Facebook on Saturday, we are waiting for him. We will close the market to receive him; he is the leader of our time. He will take Biafra to the Promised Land; we are happy that he is visiting. We heard that he has visited Port Harcourt, Ebonyi, Owerri and other places.

We are also expecting him here. All hail Biafra!” Chigbo Ebuka who said that he works with an electrical parts dealers at Alaba International Market, said.

Kamsiyochukwu Udoaku, an apprentice to a machine parts dealer in ASPANDA said without the knowledge of his boss, he has bought his Biafran flag, cap and vest to be used on that day when Kanu would visit Lagos.

Asked why he is going without his oga’s knowledge, he said, “He is an old man, he is afraid. He further asked, but what has Kanu done wrong? Did he commit any crime? Is he a member of Boko Haram or Fulani herdsmen? Did he carry any arm? All he is asking for is our own country where nobody will treat us as second class citizens. If the only reason why they want to kill him is for asking for our freedom, we will follow him,” he said.

It would be recalled that following the success of their rally at Owerri, Imo State capital, last week, the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu took to Facebook to reveal his intention to visit Lagos soon, probably to gather all IPOB members and then align with them on the way to achieve Biafra soon.

The post shared on its twitter handle penultimate Saturday, Radio Biafra revealed that IPOB and its leadership …“shall shut down Lagos, expect Nnamdi Kanu soon.”

Who told these twisted fools that the campaign to actualize Republic of Igbo or Biafra should be limited to southeast? The campaign for actualization of Republic of Igbo land or Biafra should only be valid if it is proliferated beyond southeast and even the boundaries of the cesspit called Nigeria. IPOB should engage world attention to this campaign so that academic argument could be heard by the reasonable heads outside the jungle called Nigeria.

Obi1kenobi: Igbos are resented not because of jealousy, but because of this kind of boastful arrogance. Yorubas are the most accomplished tribe in Nigeria, but they don't attract the resentment Igbos do. For me, one major reason is they don't travel around as much, so they don't clash too much with host communities like Igbos, but also in my opinion, one of the reasons for this is they are more respectful of other groups and carry themselves with less brashness and arrogance than a lot of Igbo people do.

IMHO, worst post so far in this thread.
This is arrant nonsense. I do not know how the shameless group that claimed returnees (Sierra Leoneans) as Yari.ba can be regarded as most accomplished tribe in Nigeria.

A TALE OF TWO DREAMS AND VISION

Chukwuma Innoson and Joe Igbokwe both survived the Biafra war. Igbokwe studied Mechanical Engineering, graduated and went into mamaput business in Lagos due to poverty; the other took to manufacturing and automobile assemblage with no formal education in his hometown to eradicate poverty and promote education in his community.
A tale of two destinies yet faced with same life prodigies.

A Mechanical Engineer proudly went to cook yam and beans when there was industrial revolution as it were in Nigeria. Then we had Daewoo, Volkswagen, Peugeot plants, Rolls royce, John holt, Michellin etc. Igbokwe resorted to culinary art. The Igbokwes of this world have been really humiliated.

You will soon learn that without OTHERS you cannot SURVIVE !!!

Joe Igbokwe wrote

NNAMDI KANU CALLED ME A HUNGRY SLAVE RESIDING IN LAGOS AND I HAVE FOUND THE NEED TO TELL MY STORY AGAIN FOR RECORD PURPOSES. I WANT NNAMDI TO TELL HIS OWN STORY TOO. PLEASE READ THIS:

In 1971, after my primary school education, poverty drove me to Lagos to find something to do to help my poor mother and siblings. Civil War devastated my father’s thriving business in Onitsha and we all suffered from 1966 to 1970 when the war ended.

With four wives and 34 children, my parents could not cope any more. My brothers and sisters dropped out of school to learn a trade. Because I was a little ‘sharp’ in school, my father encouraged me to finish primary school. It is needless here to recall how I and few of my siblings survived to finish our primary education. Consequently when my mates were taking Common Entrance Examination, I did not because there was no need to do so. No money, no three square meals a day, no good clothing, just nothing.

My mother encouraged me to travel with friends to Lagos. We landed at Sawmill Ebute Metta where I worked as a sawdust carrier at seven Shilling, six Pence a day. My job was to pack sawdust from the Machines to the Lagoon from 7am to 5 pm daily. I did this for nearly two years and later I became a danfo conductor plying Idioro/Ajegunle axis. From there I joined my brother in a supermarket business at Ijesha Road, Surulere. I did this until I returned home during Christmas in December 1973. I came home to meet my friends I was beating academically in school trying to make me feel and look inferior. Again I also noticed while in Lagos that if I fail to go to school, I may end up doing menial jobs meant for illiterates till the end of age. I decided to go back to school to add values to my life. But where are the school fees? There was nothing. How I managed to get the first school fee to start and what happened thereafter will take a book to do the narrative.

In 1979 I left Okongwu Memorial Grammar School Nnewi with Division One and was the school Head Boy. I taught in the same school as an Auxiliary Teacher from 1979 – 1980. In 1980 I got admission to read Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nigeria Nsukka and graduated in 1985. I did my Youth Service in Ogun State and thereafter I returned to Lagos in 1986 to begin a journey to where I am today. I walked the streets of Lagos from 1986 – 1988 until the then military government headed by Gen Ibrahim Babangida set up the National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) to encourage graduates to start their own businesses. I got a loan of N27,500, using my NYSC discharge Certificate and my Degree Certificate as collateral at 9% interest rate. I set up a Restaurant Business in Western Avenue, Lagos and hit an instant success. While doing this business, I spread my nets also to the auto spare parts market in Lawanson, Surulere where my brother thrives as a very successful importer. I opened a shop there and got a boy to take charge of the business. From there, I entered into Auto dealership in Western Avenue Surulere. I paid back that loan in full and collected back my certificates.

In 1995, I wrote my first book, Igbos: 25 Years After Biafra. I also established National Vision Newspapers in 1997. In 1999, I wrote my second book: Heroes of Democracy. In 2004 I co-authored 2007: The IBB Option with my good friend, Peter Claver Oparah. One thing led to another. I became an opinion molder, a public commentator, political analyst, writer and an advocate of the peoples’ cause. I bought my first car in 1990 and became a millionaire in 1995 after launching of my first book.

In 2006, the then Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, made me the pioneer General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure & Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) and I was there for almost 10 years. I served Asiwaju’s government for the remainder of his days as Lagos Governor. I served His Excellency Governor Babatunde Fashola for 8years. In September 2015, His Excellency Governor Akinwunmi Ambode moved me to Wharf Landing Fees Collecting Authority Apapa as Chairman. I became the Publicity Secretary AC, ACN, and APC since late 2006 till date. By the grace of God I have been the Chairman of Conference of APC Publicity Secretaries (CAPS) in Nigeria since 2014.

These positions and exploits have put me in the limelight in Lagos and Nigeria since the early 90s, and God has been kind to me. These offices have opened the doors of the rich and poor to me. They have opened the inner ways, byways, subways, expressways and highways to the corridors of power in Nigeria. I have been connected to the pace setters, policy makers, the movers and shakers of blue chip companies, newsmakers and the powers that be in Lagos. The magic of Lagos, the beauty of Lagos, the dynamics of Lagos, the glory of Lagos, the momentum of Lagos, the capacity, capability and the strength of Lagos touched me in no uncertain terms since 1986 (32years ago) till date…..and still counting.

My sojourn in Lagos for 32 years has also opened my eyes as a historian as to what Lagos has done for my people from South East. Today as I write this Igbo do not have a quarter of what they have in Lagos in the South East in terms of investments. As I write this book, Igbo are the second most populous ethnic group in Lagos. Today, Igbo exert tremendous influence and capacity in Lagos and its success story. Few years back two prominent sons of Nnewi told me in confidence that they did not know they have been wasting their time in Nnewi until they came to Lagos. They said Lagos opened doors for limitless opportunities and endless possibilities. I have seen people come from other parts of Nigeria to hit gold mine in Lagos.

I got married in 1990 and all my five kids are all Lagosians and so are millions of Igbo kids born in Lagos. They have lived most of their lives in Lagos, schooled in Lagos, worked in Lagos, made friends in Lagos and have keyed to the Lagos success story. They know any other place except Lagos. Lagos is their home. This is not limited to Igbo alone but all other ethnic groups and of course Yoruba from outside Lagos. Lagos is a melting pot, a mega city, a cosmopolitan beehive. Lagos controls the heartbeat of Nigeria, its wealth, its influence and its strategic socio-economic and political hub. Lagos changed my thinking and original thoughts, Lagos emboldened me, Lagos motivated me, Lagos challenged me and Lagos made me. I can say no less. This is the story of Lagos, my Lagos. It is still unraveling, not for me alone but millions of other Nigerians, to the glory of God."

As written by a Facebook user
One of the acute problems in the Nigeria is the inability of those who parade themselves as learned to make rock bottom fundamental analysis and draw critical analogy of theme in their debate. Lagos was Nigeria’s capital city and such enjoyed ever ready infrastructural updates no city in Nigeria was able to dream about. The federal government money used to develop Lagos as megacity was/is collective earnings of all Nigerians. In addition, the continual infrastructure remake of Lagos by the federal government came with enormous economic and social enabling conditions for the entire people of Nigeria. As the so-called restructure is trending in Nigeria today, the IPOB has started there will be no restructure if Lagos and Abuja are not built in the defunct eastern and midwestern regions respectively. The IPOB is fundamentally correct with this demand. I guess what is good for goose is equally good for gander.

Those who tend to stand historic fact on its head must remember that historic facts are not exclusive matter of their domain. There was no Yari.ba produced by Lagos that came to NIGER DELTA AND BEYOND for anything of human importance. It is very shameful and act of deceitfulness that Yari.ba people have the audacity to claim returnees from Serra Leone whom the British colonialists brought to Lagos to help in administration of Lagos Colony. If not for the silly act of colonialists, there should be no remote and silly talk of Lagos producing the first this or that, talk less of preaching anything in NIGER DELTA AND BEYOND.

Most of these silly and unfounded insinuations are constructs which tend to fan the urge for self determination so that the silly British economic and political machination in the idiotic West African country call be deleted once and for all.

This irredeemable dimwit has opportunity to select prostitutes from other ethnic nationalities yet he selected Igbo in order to brag about it. I guess the fool has achieved life dream to sleep with an Igbo girl. There is no Igbo man alive of dead who will not be shamed for sleeping with girls outside Igbo ethnicity talk less of bragging about it. My point is, we should come back to our region and develop it ourselves first, hold our leaders accountable, educate ourselves on the advantages and disadvantages of pulling out and gradually pull out. The major reason the Nigerian govt is still adamant about one Nigeria because they are including Rivers, Akwa ibom, Delta and bayelsa to Biafra not because they love the igbos so much and would miss them.
I made mention of innoson vehicle company but you didn't see it, why aren't we patronizing him? How many of the vehicles in Nnmadi kanu's convoy are IVM vehicles?

Wisdom is profitable to direct.
Without Lagos, the defunct western region is a pigpen. In addition, without Abuja the defunct northern region is a desert of street baggers. Now, these are major economic gateways which you cannot see in the defunct eastern and midwestern regions. You can shout come back and develop our region all you want, the fact remains without the enabling economic policies from the central government, your people will come and do nothing. If the federal government of Nigeria has no plans to build Lagos and Abuja in the defunct eastern and midwestern regions respectively, then it is humanly in order for the IPOB to sue for self determination so as to manage our destiny. If Biafra or Republic of Igbo land is actualized today, the Abaka seaport or yet to be constructed Opu obu (Opobo) seaport shall become the nation's main seaports instead of Apapa and Tin Can. Leader of the Independent People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has been indirectly communicated to about the unity of Nigeria which he is trying to break with the exit of the Igbo nation.

Against the backdrop of agitation for the disintegration of the country by some secessionists groups, First Lady Aisha Buhari, and South East women on Thursday said the unity of the country was non negotiable.

This is even as the women resolved to mobilise themselves to counter hate speeches and tribal sentiments and promote the oneness of the country.

Speaking at the 2017 Imo Women Annual August Meeting in Owerri, Mrs. Buhari charged women to work towards conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence in various communities.

She said, “This gathering is a celebration of the resourcefulness of womanhood. It is important because at meetings like this, Igbo women gather to discuss developmental issues and peaceful coexistence at the community levels.”

The wife of Imo State governor, Nkechi Rochas Okorocha, said that from time immemorial, women had been agents of positive changes, growth and development, adding that no society would do better without the contributions of women.

She said, “Women, now is the time for us all to answer this clarion call of coming together to continue building and fortifying bridges of friendship across the Niger and to believe in the mantra that there is strength in unity.”

The state governor, Rochas Okorocha, acknowledged that the country was on trial at the moment, but expressed optimism that the future of the country would be better than than it is at the present.

United Kingdom returnee, Nnamdi Kanu who spent 18 months behind bars has declared that no election will hold in the South-eastern part of Nigeria unless the government organises a referendum for the exit of the Igbos.

It is arrant idiocy to talk about unity of Nigeria. Nigerians are inherently known for their imbecilic lip service. There is nothing like unity of Nigeria or unity in Nigeria. Nigeria is fake and those who pass as Nigerians are human counterfeits.
Politics › Re: Anioma: Our Igbo Origin Is Not In Doubt by DerideGull(m): 5:00pm On Aug 03, 2017
ariesbull:
Our Igbo origin has never been in doubt before and after Civil War. Anioma people were known as Western Igbos before the Amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914. And in 1939, the Obi of Agbor, Obi of Idumuje-Ugboko and the Obi of Aboh, for themselves and the entire Western Igbo people, petitioned the Colonial Administration for carving out the Western Igbos from their Kits and Kins East of the Niger. Consequently, in 1956, Western Igbo leaders organized the AMA1 conferences where it was resolved that the answer to the political problems of the Western Igbos was to create a West Niger Igbo State with the Headquarters at ALIDINMA. The agitation for the creation of the West Niger Igbo State assumed the name ANIOMA after the civil war.

Have you always been your brothers-keeper or is this a sudden self-centered desperation in order to gain the support of the South Easterners in your pursuit of Anioma State creation?

I think with this, your extreme question that boarders on self assessment, it is pertinent at this point to look back and critically outline the roles of the Delta Igbo’s during the most critical period in the life and history of our brothers across the Niger.

A significant officers and men of Midwestern origin-Delta-Igbos fought on the side of the Biafran Army. Col. Mike Ndukwe Okweuechime, to start with was the Chief of Linguistics, Defence headquarters, Biafran Army till the end of the civil war on January 12, 1970. Navy Commander Frank Anukwu from Ika was in charge of Biafran Navy till the end of the war. Brigadier Nwawo from Aniocha North was General Officer who commanded 4 Command (Special) Division of Biafran Army. Col. Joe Achuzie from Oshimili South was General Officer Commanding (GOC) 16 division.

Late Col. B.S.A. Nwajei from Oshimili North was at a time, the Commander 14 division. Col. Ochei from Oshimili South was Commandant of School of Infantry Biafran Army. Col. Morah and Col. Henry Igboba from Aniocha North and Oshimili North, respectively fought gallantly for the survicval of Igbo people during the war. Late Major Albert Okonkwo from Oshimili North was the Administrator of the defunct Republic of Biafra Mr. George Nwanze from Oshimili North was the secretary to Odumegwu Ojukwu, Head of State defunct Republic of Biafra, to mention but a few. It is important to mention that the above top military Officers and highly respected men of substance from the then Midwestern region, did not fight as mercenaries. I want to state that as a matter of historical fact, I too fought gallantly on the side of Biafra. In fact, I came back from my studies in oversea and was confronted with the war, as Igbo people were been slaughtered all across the North, we had to ran from Jos to Ibusa where I joined Force with the Biafran Army.

Most importantly, it should not be forgotten that late Chukwuma Nzeogwu of Okpanam in Oshimili North died at Oboleke fighting on the side of Biafran Army. It is paramount to mention that late Col. Okonweze from Asaba was killed at Abeokuta during the counter Coup of July 29, 1966. Late Col. Henry Igboba from Ibusa suffered the same fate in Benin City in 1967. Late Mr. Ogwude from Ogwashiuku, a Parmanent Secretary was killed in Benin City the same 1967. The Benin City, Sapele Warri, Isheagu, Ogwashiuku and Ogbeke-Asaba massacres, to mention but a few, were reprisals against Ndigbo on both sides of the Niger Ndigbo east and west of the Niger shared a common fate during the Civil War as a direct consequence of the January 1966 Military Coup which was purportedly described as Igbo Coup.

Don’t you think Igbo delta People not just those across the Niger, but those in River State etc have not been receiving their own share of respect and acceptance that prompted Okwuechime to voice out his frustration?
The truth is that Ohaneze Ndigbo and the World Igbo Assembly (IWA) has created solid sense of belonging everywhere Igbo people reside. To buttress this fact, the brotherly relationship between Igbo South East and Anioma people is based on mutual love and respect manifesting in the election of Late Ogbueshi Dr. J.B. Azinge of Asaba as Deputy president General of Ohaneze Ndigbo before the tenure of Col. Joe Achuzia as Secretary General. The incumbent President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo is his Excellency Ambassador Raph Uwaechue of Ogwashi-Uka in Aniocha South of Delta State.

As it stands now what is the most important or if I may ask critical support the delta Igbo people need from their brothers across the Niger?

Very good! Very good question. I wanted to make the appeal even if you did not come up with the question. We want our brothers to see reason why they should come together to support Anioma State as the Sixth State to be carved out for the Igbo nation. Justice equity and fair-play demands this, the reason being in a memorandum signed by Chief Sam O. Mbakwe, Chief C.C. Onoh, Dr. Okigbo, Chief S.G. Ikoku to mention among others, that was forwarded to the then President and Commander-in-Chief, President Ibrahim Babangida and to all members of Armed forces Ruling Council, as was published (bring out document to quote date and paper) on Daily Times of Wednesday, April 17, 1991, on page 17. These great Igbo leaders after many years of Deliberation and consultation all across Igbo land jointly requested for the creation of Enugu or Wawa state from Amambra, Abia out of the old Imo and Anioma from old Bendel State.

It is on record that Enugu and Abia has sealed through, so as you can see justice equity and fair-play demands that the next state to be carved out for ndigbo should be Anioma State.

https://etimes.com.ng/anioma-igbos-western-nigeria/
Bros do not border yourself about the Igbo origin of people of Anioma. Everybody from Igbanke to Asaba baring Isoko, Iteskiri and Urhobo on the western side of River Niger is Igbo. It is equally important and strategically relevance to carve out Anioma State in order to join the five states of in Igbo land. This is one of the reasons I support the IPOB and the movement for the actualization of Republic of Igbo land or Biafra.

We get that you are filled with hate, that's ok, that's your hangup to deal with. I wasn't alive when all the problems started and I can bet neither were you. I am not your dialogue partner if all you want to do is tell me for the 1000th time your version of who is to blame. I am interested in what do we do.

We agree on one thing Nigeria is a failed state and IMHO (you may disagree) there are 2 solutions

1. Everybody go his way and bear his father's name, we are all strong enough to survive on our own.

2 Full autonomy of regions with a weak center so the the autonomous regions have a larger market and a stronger voice in International affairs.

Either one is fine with me, there are benefits and disadvantages of not sharing the same country with ibos and there are benefits and disadvantages of sharing. either way the Yoruba nationa will prosper once we change the status quo, what I cannot stand is your "this man beat me", "this man stole my shoe" kind of nonsense. OK You have been beaten and your shoe has been stolen .........f*cking move on!!!
I suggest you cease to quote me if you only write craps and no intelligible posts as shown above. In addition, stop writing about Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB movement if you Yari.ba land has a chance to proper. I would want to see all dingbats such as you to witness the birth of another country other than Niger-Area through the hateful rhetoric of IPOB leader. There is no doubt you are a f*cking goon.

Politics › Re: Adeosun: 55% Of Nigeria’s VAT Is From Lagos by DerideGull(m): 2:03pm On Aug 03, 2017
Anikulhapo:
Kemi Adeosun, minister for finance, says more than half of Nigeria’s value added tax (VAT) comes from Lagos state alone.

Speaking at the parley between the federal government and progressive governors forum (PGF) in Abuja on Tuesday, Adeosun said the 87 percent of Nigeria’s VAT is derived from four states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In other words, only 13 percent of Nigeria’s VAT comes from 32 other states in the federation.

According to her no country in the world with high tax compliance rate is poor, and no rich country has a low tax compliance rate.

“There is no poor country that has a high tax compliance rate, and no rich country that has a low one,” Adeosun said.

Quoting current VAT collection data across Nigeria, the minister said “55% of Nigeria’s VAT is collected in Lagos State. 20% in FCT, 6% in Rivers, 5% in Kano, 1% in Kaduna”.

“I’m hoping that one day Finance Commissioners will stop needing to come to Abuja monthly to share FAAC, because IGR (internally generated revenue) will be sufficient.”

The minister had earlier complained about the country’s abysmal tax-to-GDP ratio, which she said was at six percent, further stating it to be one of the lowest in the world.

Speaking on the topic “The Funding Nigeria Needs,” the minister says the states must do more to generate revenue from with and not solely depend on the federal government for federal allocation.

This is the reason I have always maintained that economic gateway Lagos and Abuja represented in Nigeria must be replicated in the defunct eastern and midwestern regions respectively. If this simple task cannot be accomplished, secession is admirable.

Ive told you I cant stand the guy and quite frankly the hate espoused by his followers but you need to look beyond that.... this is not about NNamdi Kanu, this is about you and I, whether you are Ibo, Yoruba and even the Hausa. Nigeria is not working for anybody escept a minority elite who if they were to look beyond their myopia isnt working for them either because despite enjoying the wealth they cant really enjoy it here!!!

It does not matter how the change comes about, or who triggers the change, the change will come just as you say a house divided against itself cannot stand in relation to the Ibos, the same applies to Nigeria and I will also add that a house built of straw or a house built of shaky foundation cannot stand and as such Nigeria in it's present form cannot stand.

Whether you like Kanu or not (I repeat he is a despicable character) the issue of our co-existence is now the no 1 topic in the country. In that respect he is bring about the desired change. As I speak to you there is a summit on fiscal federalism on Channels that has bee on for at least an hour. The change is real and it's happenning.

You need to look beyond the noise and hate speech unbecoming and unpalatable as it may be and focus on the real issue. We dont have to like Kanu but the truth is his actions and that of his followers however distasteful has forced the issue to the fore, the genie is out of the bottle and the the ultimate end whatever form it takes will be to the benefit of us all.
It is humanly impossible to regard any Nigerian as being sincere or honest. So in this discourse I shall not waste my time stroking your honesty and sincerity on this issue. The only hatred deliberately espoused remains the idea of having Lagos which is economic gateway in the defunct western region and Abuja which is another such gateway in defunct northern region of Nigeria. Have you honestly asked yourself why is there no such economic gateway in either defunct eastern region or midwestern region of Nigeria? Some moronic fools are dancing about the so-called restructure of the cesspit called Nigeria. There shall be no restructure if Lagos and Abuja are not situated in the defunct eastern region and midwestern region respectively. If there is any remoteness of idiotic "one-Nigeria", the economic gateway the federal government of Nigeria has setup in Lagos and Abuja must be replicated in eastern and midwestern region respectively. As far I am concerned, I have no use for Nigeria and the earlier Nigerians go their separate way the better for them to avoid the repeat of the catastrophic civil war.

The East must divorce the Struggle from KANU. KANU is misguiding the Struggle. The earlier the East settles this, the better. KANU is too short for that tall dream. He is using a borrowed shoe many times over his size. When you send a kid to take delivery of explosives, you are in for a long thing!

At the best, KANU should be one of the foot soldiers for the legitimate campaign. He obviously displays a gross deficit in the Sagacity, the intellectual depth, the mien, composure, comportment and political dexterity required for such a Titanic struggle. Talk of a toddler stranding in for a valiant man' s job! Is the East so deficient of Menhuh
There is no misguided struggle against Nigeria. Only blinded fools see any struggle against imbecilic Nigeria will talk about misguided. Nigeria is a practical joke. In some places, one needs to travel out of the countries to see enormous decadences about the countries. But in case of the cesspit called Nigeria, one does not need to travel out of the idiotic colonial contraption to see decades of maladministration by moronic goons who turned the country into their garden.

Nnamdi Kanu is worst than afonja ok. He keeps changing like chameleon, i'm sure he will change his tune again. During GEJ he was singing to One Nigeria tunes, right now he is screaming Biafra, this is NOT bravery ok, its a sign of cowardice so he is worst than afonja. If he is arrested nothing will happen. That's how you people make mouth before he got arrested and President Buhari arrested him then nothing happened, he negotiated with the govt when he want die...LOL. All well known Igbo were pleading on his behalf.
Nobody in history of the cesspit called Nigeria that can equal the chameleonic character of Awolowo or even change tone as often as Awolowo and Yari.ba political elites. Yari.ba remain the only ethnic nationality in Nigeria that have produced more political parties than any one in Nigeria. Yari.ba have become so untrustworthy that the issue of IPOB movement and secession has thrown every ethnic nationality into wild tailspin.
