Politics › Re: How Northern Leaders Showed That Igbo Leaders Are Fools (photos) by DerideGull(m): 2:41pm On Aug 10, 2017 |
Wisdomkosi: Yesterday coalition of northern youths protested against the agitation of Biafra by the Igbos and equally called for the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. What caught my attention was not because of they were protesting for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu but how Northern Leaders ensured that their youths were protected by providing police for them throughout their protest yesterday
Thousands of Igbos have been killed just for telling the world that they want to be free and don't want keep being slaves. The Igbo Leaders never protected them but keep on arresting them, sometimes order for their killing. When will our South East Leaders become wise? When will they stop being slaves to the northern leaders? How many Arewa Youths have been arrested for giving quit notice on Igbos?
As old as the South East Leaders are, they don't know that they are still slaves to the north which still baffles me. An Hausa or Fulani man can never wear an Igbo attire to please the Igbos but the South East Leaders always do this which shows their high level of stupidity
Till the South East Leaders start to carry the interest of the Igbos at heart, they will never stop being slaves to the northern leaders. I no longer blame the idiotic and the so-called Igbo leaders but those youths who would ordinarily refer to them as Igbo leaders. The worst in this class of moronic youths are the pseudo-intellectuals among them. |

wirinet: So because the man expressed doubts over police report makes him intelligent? His reason is even more ridiculous, he is simply reinforcing IPOB's position that the murders must be outsiders presumably Fulani herdsmen or Boko Haram, his only evidence being the speed at which the police came out with the Drug war story.
Now you answer this if it was Boko Haram, why kill only 12 people? Boko Haram would have killed almost everybody in the church and probably set it ablaze, and then Shakau would boast about it a few days later. Fulani herdsmen have not been known to attack churches, they attack villages and towns, especially those that they have disagreements with over grazing of their cows.
Now read this from a citizen of Ozubulu There are customs, police, navy and army check-points all over Igbo land yet nobody was able to intelligently discerned that a Toyota Hilux vehicle was loaded with assassins and their assault rifles. Anybody who says that Ozubulu church massacre stemmed from drug war is a borderline slowpoke. |

The best thing to happen to all people of the cesspit called Nigeria is to part ways from each other. There is no amount of bandage approach that will ameliorate the situation. |

Wike is just like APC at the Federal level... Always blaming their predecessor for their failures.
Who says a focused governor can't fix a federal road in his state and get a refund from the Federal Government? This has nothing to do with Wike. This is the responsibility of federal government of the cesspit called Nigeria. It is a bridge on East-West road supposedly trunk A road. I post the depth that nobody read it clearly shows lagos port not even deep.
Tag mod the so they can explain. The so-called Onne is as inland as Wharf at Igweocha. I wonder why the powers that were in the cesspit called Nigeria decided to develop Onne instead of Opu obu (opobo) or Ibaka which is deep-water and contiguous with southeast. |

Blue3k: They won't since they only know how wail. Fact is Eastern ports like Calabar and Delta general are shallow. Then if you look at the trend in traffic One port is 2nd highest tonnage annually. In non oil the trend is better. The federal government only mistake was wasting time approving shallow ports instead of focusing big on the picture being deep seaport. Are you an exporter or importer? Have you ever imported a feather in your sorry life? You were jumpy and hasty to publish statistics but failed woefully to accompany them with rule and regulation involved in shipping goods and services through Nigerians seaports. Have you ever asked yourself why it cost thrice as much to ship through Apapa or Tin Can instead of ports in southeastern Nigeria? Anyway, I cannot blame you but most dimwits who call themselves minorities in southeastern Nigeria who tend to kick against Biafra or anything championed by the Ndigbo. |
Politics › Re: True Igbo Leaders Must Act Now by DerideGull(m): 8:27pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
maclatunji: The events of the last 2 years have shown one fact- the elders in Igboland have lost their way and as a result the youths have lost their sense of direction.
How else would one explain the emergence of Radio Biafra as led by Nnamdi Kanu to incite hate and forment trouble in Nigeria? The Biafran agitation post-civil war is not new. The Ralph Uwazurike led Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has been agitating for a long time prior to the emergence of Nnamdi Kanu's Independent People of Biafra (IPOB). There were protests, arrests and releases. Other regions too have different groups claiming they want Independence from Nigeria -the Oodua People’s Congress (APC) and the Arewa People’s Congress (APC) in the North.
However, these groups had not employed hate speech as a tool until Nnamdi Kanu came along. His offensive broadcasts created resentment and agitation across ethnic lines and when he arrogantly entered Nigeria despite his subversive activities was promptly arrested. His being
charged to court and eventual release on bail dragged for months due to the government's strategy of stretching the legal process to its limits obviously for security reasons.
Many have argued that this has made Nnamdi Kanu popular. For decent people, this need to be a problem, one just needs to look at the following that some Nigerian musicians have to understand that popularity can be achieved without becoming a national security threat.
But not so for Nnamdi Kanu, he has continued to verbally instigate people he perceives to be his opponents within and outside Igboland even bragging that 'elections will not hold'.
Instead of abiding by his bail conditions, he is flouting them.
I ask: where the leaders of Igboland in all of these?
The problem with being obnoxious is that there is no monopoly of it. Now, a coalition of Arewa Youth groups have followed in Kanu's path and threatened Igbos with violence on October 1 if they do not leave the North. As crazy and terrible this is, we have to trace it back to Nnamdi Kanu, leaders and youths of the Southeast who failed to call him to order.
The solution to this dire situation is for the people of the Southeast to curb their recalcitrant son to create a cordial atmosphere. This will also help calm the recalcitrant youths in the North and elsewhere. While true leaders across different parts of the country work together to build a better country for all.
Failure to do this would create huge problems for everybody and that would be unfortunate indeed because it would take Nigeria back many years and put the Igbos in particular in a dire situation. Only a foolish fool in the image of human being with the intellect of a pig can possibly wake and have the above thought process. I know the poster of the above post never heard that "change, ironically is very constant in nature". In addition, the poor rapscallion has never grasp the fact that self determination is a selfless endeavor known to human beings. Sometimes I wonder endlessly why any dumbass jackass should be twisted out of human form simply because a certain group of individuals has decided to terminate the unholy union the colonialists frosted on Nigerians. If the actualization of Republic of Igbo land or Biafra will send multitude of Nigerians to a hellish land, I say may almighty creator make such actualization to happen everyday. Nigeria will never see peace until Republic of Igbo land or Biafra is actualized. |

Alcatraz005: I greet my fellow forumites especially my immediate constituents (yoruba) and I just want to implore all to resist any provocation by the igbos to destroy our country.
There is nothing to gain in war but much to be lost in a needless conflagration in the most populous black nation on earth. The consequences of a war in Nigeria is better imagined as Syria will be child's play compared to the level of destruction that we will experience in Nigeria. Another reason why we should resist being goaded into conflict by the igbos is because they are a defeated race already hence the constant frustration from them. The effects of the civil war defeat of the igbos is still being felt by them. What we are witnessing right now in the form of the current agitations is that the present generation of igbos just came to the realisation that igbos have been consigned to slave status (2nd class citizens in their own country). This sudden reality is why they are exasperated. It is the stubborn struggle of a dying animal. In Yoruba, we call it (japooro). Ibo n japooro ni.....
Let's face it, the igbos cannot win a free and fair Presidential Election in Nigeria and they know it. Which of the two big tribes will vote for an igbo? None! Igbos have burnt all bridges of friendship and they wish to bring the whole house (Nigeria) on all other peace loving Nigerians. I specifically want to appeal to my Hausa brothers to withdraw the quit notice issued to igbos as insisting on pushing the igbos out will be playing into the grand plans of the enemies of Nigeria. I would not trade the peace and tranquillity of Nigeria for my fervent wish to see igbos punished for their hate and insolence. It is not just worth it. Love trumps hate any day, anytime.
The Igbos are not worth the destruction that will trail the execution of the quit notice. As any discerning mind will notice, the igbos are losing relevance every day as they are now the butt of jokes Nationwide. We should allow them fully express their folly to their full derision and chagrin. We won't fight a war because of Igbos. Never!
I would end with a reference to a principle I encountered in the book, 48 laws of power by Robert Greene. And it goes thus: a strategem is more powerful than weapons of war as it (stratagem) has the power to destroy the lives of babies in the womb of their mothers. An apt example is the genius of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo who without firing a single bullet, defeated the the biafran forces and essentially brought the Nigerian Civil war to an abrupt end through the power of his immense intellect. The effect of Awolowo's sheer intelligence is still being felt by the Igbos today who have essentially been turned to generators of internal revenue for the children of Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello. The war has been won and lost, we do not need another war in Nigeria. Never again!
The Igbo's should be pitied and not hated.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The manner in which you write indicates you are overwhelmingly ill-informed. Please to informed that there no "Black nation" on earth talk less the most populous one. Ndigbo are not asking for war but self determination which is the inalienable rights of mankind. One of the worst thing that happened to Ndigbo was to have person of your intellect as a patriot. If the hell will freeze up because Ndigbo are agitating to have their homeland, nation of their ethnicity, I say so be it. |

Mcreloaded: NOTE am not Igbo or Yoruba just a concerned Nigerian citizen following the drama as it unfolds
“Most Igbos say they are the people that developed Lagos and made Lagos what it is today. They say without Igbos, Lagos is finished. And I keep wondering how have Igbos helped in shaping and developing Lagos?
“Lets get the fact right, Igbos didn't develop Lagos rather, it is Lagos that shaped and made the Igbos what they are today. Without Igbos in Lagos, Lagos will remain Lagos and without Lagos, most Igbos may likely be nothing.
“Reason for my assertion is that most giant and top companies that attract millions of people across the country to Lagos are not owned by the Igbos so, how have Igbos shaped and developed Lagos?
“These are the achievements and economic advancement Igbos gave Lagos and Lagosians; Tokunbo and Fake Spare Parts at Ladipo Market, China Electronics and Pirated CDs at Alaba Market, Bend-Down and Select Clothes at Idumota, Yaba and Kotangowa Markets, Chinese and Tokunbo Computer/Phones and Accessories at Computer Village Ikeja are Igbos economical achievements and contributions to Lagos. In fact, most Igbos are causing nuisances in Lagos. A visit to these markets will tell you the amount of nuisances that Most Igbos have caused in Lagos. The environments these Igbo traders are mostly populated are always polluted with waste of all sorts, they are dirty, stinking, rough, erect illegal shops on the roads, on pipeline and railway lines indiscriminately in these market places that cause traffic gridlocks and other dangerous situations and when Lagos State Government dismantles these illegal shops, they get angry. If Lagos State Government closes their shops for environmental violations, they pick offence. How then have the Igbos developed Lagos?.... think on these......
“As far as I am concerned, PZ, COCA-COLA, 7UP, CADBURY, MTN, ZAIN, GLO, ETISALAT, DANGOTE, SHOP-RITE, GOLDEN PENNY, FLOUR MILL, INDOMIE, UNILEVER, P&G, CHI LIMITED, GUINNESS, NIGERIA BREWERIES, OANDO, CONOIL, TOTAL, MOBIL, CHEVRON, SHELL, KFC, AQUADANA, EKO HOTEL, INTER CONTINENTAL HOTEL, PROTEA HOTEL, JULIUS BERGER, RCC CONSTRUCTION, NESTLE, KPMG, GSK, FRIESLAND FOODS, WAMCO, BRITISH AMERICA TOBACCO, SCHLUMBEGER, AIT, SILVERBIRD TV, CHANNELS TV, LARFARGE, etc are not owned by the Igbos. These companies are what attracted millions of people to Lagos.
“Igbos shouldn't lay claim that they developed a place by becoming nuisances. Most of the top Churches in Lagos are not also owned by Igbos. House on the Rock, Redeemed Christian Church of Christ, Christ Embassy, Deeper Life, Living Faith, MFM, etc are not owned by Igbos. The only Church that's reasonably big and is owned by an Igbo man is TREM, while another Igbo Church, Lord Chosen Church, encourages nuisance in Lagos and it also doubles as the dirtiest Church in Lagos.
“Records show that 75% of robbery cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 85% of ritual cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 60% of drug cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 70% of fraud cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 90% of pirated CD cases in Lagos are carried out by Igbos, 60% of fake and adulterated drugs in Lagos that have killed thousands of Lagosians are carried out by Igbos, in fact, most of the crimes in Lagos are connected to the Igbos, so how have the Igbos developed Lagos when they can't get their hands off crime?
“There's no Igbo man among the top three richest people in Nigeria, so how are they successful?
“The truth is that Igbos should be grateful that the Yorubas accommodated them in Lagos peacefully, they shouldn't take the meekness and kindness of the Yorubas for granted.
“Igbos didn't make Lagos but it is actually Lagos that made Igbos.”
This is my Lagos story: true Lagosian, proud Lagosian.
#itesiwajuEkoLojemiLogun
From the desk of: Otunba Adegboyega Ademide Sasore-Whyte Lagos is developed by the Nigerians government from the collective resources of all Nigerians mostly from the defunct eastern and Midwestern regions of Nigeria. The deluded Yari.ba ninnies to jump to idiotic conclusion of how they developed Lagos yet Ibadan which was the capital of defunct western region of Nigeria remains a backwater. AbCompiler042: A Special Broadcast by the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano on the St Phillips Catholic Church Killings at Ozubulu on August 7, 2017.
Good morning fellow citizens
Ndi Anambra ekenem unu
With a sorrowful heart, I stand before you today to brief you on the tragic killing of 12 people at St Philips Catholic Church, Amakwa, Ozubulu yesterday.
First, I want to assure you all that what happened in Ozubulu yesterday was a tragic dimension of a long battle between two business partners who are from the same town. I have been fully informed that this dangerous conflict has been going on for a while in the country where they both live outside Nigeria before they decided to bring the conflict home. But let me assure you that Anambra is too hot for them to operate here, going forward.
This explanation, I believe, has erased the fears that the incident may have been caused by either some terrorist organizations or some members of some groups of agitators in the country.
Brothers and sisters, what happened in Ozubulu was neither a terror attack as we know it, nor a violent action by some agitators. We are dealing with a dangerous GANG WAR that has spilled over to Anambra State from another African country. But this is the last time it will happen under my watch!
Fellow citizens, I want to assure you that we are on top of this situation. We are completely in charge here. The people directly and remotely involved in this crime are known to the law enforcement agencies. But no suspect, no matter how highly placed, is above the law. So, we have taken bold steps to bring them to book and restore the peace and tranquility that Anambra State has enjoyed since the past three years.
Sincerely, there is no cause for fear or alarm here. Anambra state is safe. Our churches and places of worship are safe. So, our people should not be discouraged from going to church to serve their God because what happened in Amakwa, Ozubulu is an isolated case. It will not happen again! Ndi Anambra should continue to sleep with both eyes closed because we are staying awake for them. In the words of Wendell Philips, the American abolitionist and liberal activist, “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” We have chosen to stay awake that Anambra may find sleep! I repeat, never again will this type of bloodshed happen in Anambra State under me!
Ndi Anambra, in all our 25-year history, never has a single act of senseless violence consumed so many lives. I strongly condemn this wanton killing of our fellow citizens who left their loved ones in the early hours of Sunday morning to worship their God. I condemn the senseless violation of sacred places of worship by people to whom neither man nor God is worthy of respect or honour. I condemn these people who did not think twice before placing such a heavy burden on our humanity!
All the shadowy characters behind this crime shall account for it. This is the first and the last of this appalling crime!
Fellow citizens, I call on you today, to join hands with me to rid our society of all vestiges of crime and criminality. Nothing else can stand in the way of accelerated development as crime does. We are familiar with this fact in Anambra State. That is why we have fought tooth and nail to usher in the long period of peace we have enjoyed in Anambra State.
To our numerous friends and partners, I want to assure you that Anambra is still Nigeria’s safest state. Indeed, the Ozubulu killings have only strengthened our commitment to create a safer, business-friendly and prosperous state. We remain focused on our Vision and Mission to this great state. No amount of threats or wholesale destruction can shake our commitment to these ideals.
Ndi Anambra, I have declared today a Day of Mourning in honour of our brothers and sisters that were slain yesterday. We shall observe a minute of silence in their honour at 12 noon today and special prayers shall be offered for them in churches and prayer houses across Nigeria and in the Diaspora. We have also opened a Condolence Register for them in the Government House.
Finally, for the 18 survivors of this carnage who are nursing different injuries in the hospital, my administration shall pick up all their medical bills. I have visited them at the hospital to ascertain their recovery rate. I have also dispatched 50 additional medical doctors to the hospital to ensure that they have access to the best medical care possible. Indeed, all hands must be on deck to save more lives.
At this juncture, I want to thank the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari who called me last night from London to commiserate with Ndi Anambra on this tragic incident. I must also thank the Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo who also called last night to condole with us. My gratitude goes to everyone who has called my Team and I to say a soothing word since this incident happened. Your calls have re-affirmed my belief that we are one people under God! It has strengthened my faith in the unity of this country.
Anambra State has survived incredible odds in our modest history. This too shall pass!
God bless Anambra State
God Bless Nigeria
Thank you
Dalunu!

In as much as we should all condemn the attack and empathise with those that lost loved ones, we should always endeavour to stand by the truth and not politicise every unfortunate events.
The perpetrators of the heinous crime should be fished out and punished without mercy. The church should also do some soul searching and retrace their steps where they have gone wrong. What sort of Christians accepts the donation of a church building from a well known drug baron?
I even read somewhere that the bishop and igwe have both been trying to settle the drug dispute between the two warring factions. Religious and traditional leaders should not be seen to be offering any kind of support to criminals in anyway. You simply cannot be serious. Why the fishing expedition when you have already known that the church was funded by a drug baron. Nigerians tend to behave like stiffs. |
