I was born in yorroberland shagamu precisely ,Yorrobers don't really love one Nigeria as you guys think, take a look at the Map of Nigeria look at the map of the southwest what do you observe? Yorrobers have all it takes be a great nation , of all the three major ethnic groups groups of Nigeria they are the only ones that do not need the minorities to survive, access to sea they have ,huge and fertile land they have ,they know this but what's delaying them is simple fear.the last thing the yorrober can never risk his life for anything in this life ,not even for money or his freedom and secondly yorrober love Fulanis.

Nobody needs any foolish minority to have access to the sea. Even Islamic Republic of Arewa will have access to the sea. The Yoruba are very cunning people. They perceived the current situation and configuration of Nigeria favor them. The money from the so-called Niger Delta is massively being spent on Yoruba land while Yoruba continue to bamboozle cretins from Niger Delta. Of course, Yoruba love Fulani because both joined together to make the journey into today's Nigeria.

To onlookers, the Yorubas almost seem homogeneous and to put up a united front, but that would be a mirage. There are definitely intra-ethnic scuffles which seek to undermine their reputed front of solidarity. However, this solidarity is real among Yorubas, in whom we have the most tribalistic people of the major ethnicities in Nigeria.

Yorubas have long developed a sense of nationality, which they guard jealously (as seen in their default opposition to inter-ethnic marriage and their strong grasp upon their cultural indexes such as language, names, dressing, cuisine, etc). While it'd be normal for you to see an Igbo or Ijaw person named Johnson Rawlings, hardly would you find a Yoruba person without some ‘Ola’ or ‘Oluwa’ affix to their names. And what Yoruba person doesn't eat amala? Haven't seen any yet.

The solidarity of the Yoruba is a blessing to them (and, most times, to them alone). There is this ‘us’ versus ‘others’ mentality that has glorified itself in their land, so they rally round their own for the benefit of their own. Their perceived neutrality towards Nigerian politics is really a ploy to be always on the winning side (because you only lose on the losing side). This has worked for them and has ensured the stability of the Yoruba land through the various undulating episodes of Nigeria's journey, often to the chagrin of the Igbos, who earnestly desire a unity of the South against the North. But that unity is never going to be because, you see, the Yoruba will always win anyway. This is a smartness that the Igbo man, in all his astuteness, will never comprehend. However, for the purpose of building a better Nigeria, this attitude seems to be counterproductive, as it seems to reflect that the Yoruba are okay with Nigeria the way it is.

That said, I'll talk about the beauty of the Yoruba people. Aside being in close terms with their culture, the Yorubas are also very hospitable to and accommodating of other ethnic groups
. They are perhaps the most tolerant of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria. Like I said, a lot of Nigerians grew up in Lagos, a Yoruba land, and they often feel more at home in Lagos than in my own hometown. The same applies in varying degrees to other cities in Yorubaland. As a matter of fact, there is consistently a large Igbo population in most Yoruba cities (although it's hard to say whether this is as a result of the hospitabiltiy of Yorubas or of the sense of adventure ingrained in the Igbos). When I visited my aunt who is a Yoruba woman, she would treat me just like her own kid. Nevertheless, she also expected me to understand their culture and follow it like I was a Yoruba person, forcing me to learn the language subconsciously. (Don't greet an old Yorubas woman in English - it's disrespectful). Intellectualism reigns among the Yoruba and they are ready to experiment and to be open to new ways, as long as it doesn't affect their cultural indexes. (A Yoruba friend of mine who was a Muslim used to follow me to church just to see what it felt like, and another friend of mine who was born of Muslim parents started attending church just to have more religious options).

But if you ask me, i have a deep respect for this tribe, they may not be perfect, but they are one of the most jovial tribe of people, who enjoy the pleasure that life and people have to offer them.

Arrant nonsense!!! I lived in Yoruba land and I can say unequivocally that Yoruba are not hospitable and accommodating as the writer would want us to believe. The Yoruba are very tribal in nature therefore their is no link between being irredeemably tribal and hospitable. The sense of hospitality is because of prevailing conditions beyond their control. Yoruba can only be close to none Yoruba only if a none Yoruba can speak Yoruba or there is something the none Yoruba controls or has monopoly or a thing Yoruba person needs to sustain life.

As an Igbo man, I can say that it will be a great blessing when we Igbos dont have to share one country with Yorubas any more. Igbos and Yorubas hardly knew each other before the British came to 'rope' them both together into a colonial project called 'Nigeria'

So Im hoping we will all be 'unroped' very soon. It will be a blessing not to share the same country with Yorubas, same goes for Hausa/Fulani

You have spoken my mind too. This is one of the reasons I have always sued for Republic of Igbo land. I asked for it unconditionally.

QUESTION
APC = PDP, Prove ?
ANSWER
Since we know they are both parties, The 2nd "P" in PDP is a constant and so may not be included in the equation. OR we may as well say APC"P" = PD"P"
"P" = Party
Divide both sides of the equation by the constant "P".
Resulting in APC = PD

This means that if A+P+C = x, Also P+D must be equal to x
Meaning A+P+C = P+D
Using the alphabet A -Z numbers, whereby A = 1 and Z=26
Substituting letters with their corresponding numbers.
A,P,C = 1,16,3
P,D= 16,4
A+P+C = 1+16+3 = 20
P+D= 16+4 = 20
Therefore APC = PDP

The bolded is a made in Nigeria Algebraic equation. Oga if APC = PDP and both sides are divided by P, the resultant is AC=DP

Somehow and somewhere though, he found the military code of conduct bunkum with which he utilised to punish Adaka boro but not his own (Ironsi's) kinsmen whose coup plotting brought him into power.

I implore you to go take your meds.

Did he also abolish the military code of conduct? Adaka Boro was not a soldier and cannot be accorded the merits of UCMJ for his silly action which could not pass as a mutiny. Who was pointing the gun and to whom?

DerideGull:

This is one of the reasons I hate anything about Nigeria. Folks from certain section of country tend to live in falsehood. Adegoke Adelabu was IPP as do other members. However, the mushroom parties without national status or coverage were not meant or allowed to contest regional or national elections. To do so, they must run under the umbrella or manifesto of a party with national status. There was no alliance between any member of IPP and Action Group or NCNC. And your attempt to insinuate that an individual from a political party can form or formed "alliance " with another party is very idiotic. The five from Ibadan were not the only persons to cross carpet. They did not cross carpet to retain the identity of their original party because it was irrelevant in the substance of polity before the election.

Azikiwe in one of his speech iterated how the gods designed Igbos to dominate Nigeria, how he was the only leader to reject the succession clause.

We all saw/read about the atrocities he committed in the Western region ;

From kicking against movement of capital away from Lagos, the Yorubas/Western region never wanted the FCT.

How he masterminded the mid-west referendum (well, i may be wrong)

Trying to be premier of Western region.

Calling Lagos a no man's land.

Involvement in Akintola/Awolowo (together with northern leaders) which led to Awo spending few year in prison etcetera.

He had the chance to form the government with Awolowo but refused, he knew he would not be able to achieve his domination plan because Awolowo is one hell of a brilliant man, he chooses to form it with the fulani thinking they would be pushover, but he was wrong.
It's audible to the deaf and clear to the blind that his inability to totally control the government led to the coup, he clearly had a hand in the coup.

He wouldn't have travel prior to the coup.

And talking about the coupist plan to install Awolowo, isn't that foolish ?
You mean the same Awolowo that was jailed by Eastern and Northern joint leadership?

Let's look at it from this angle, the coup took place on the 15th of january, and he, Awolowo was still in the prison untill July? (That's some 6 months after the coup) and the coupist didn't still release awo from prison, didn't that sound foolish?

Ironsi didn't punish the coupist and that shows that he has a hand in it too, Ironsi should have release Awo from prison since you said the objective of the coup was to pave way for Awolowo.

Let's argue with logic nah.

Dunces are danger to the society. Ironsi, as an army general, does not have addition power outside the mandate of constitution and military code of conduct to punish a coup plotter. In a hurry to justify their silly pitching tent with northern region of Nigeria in a war against eastern region, the hack writers from western region of Nigeria concocted all kinds of rubbish,

The Eastern Region was an administrative region in Nigeria, dating back originally from the division of the colony Southern Nigeria in 1954. Its first capital was Calabar. The capital was later moved to Enugu and the second capital was Umuahia. The region was officially divided in 1967 into three new states, the East-Central State, Rivers State and South-Eastern State. East-Central State had its capital at Enugu, which is now part of Enugu State.[1]

Eastern Region

The funniest thing about Internet is that exposed the ignorance of the goons. The administrative headquarters of protectorates, northern and southern, were Lokoja and Calabar without Lagos Colony. When northern and southern protectorates were amalgamated, Lagos assumed the headquarter of the amalgamated protectorates. Enugu only became capital of eastern region due to large presence and economic interest of colonialists due to coal mine in Enugu. The only time Umuahia became administrative headquarter of Eastern region was during the war which Owerri also served as administrative headquarter. Again Calabar was only the administrative headquarter of the southern protectorate not eastern region.

2. No elections in 2023 in SW

I want you to know that you just want to cause problem in Yorubaland.

You have no rights to force your so called Oduduwa republic on Yoruba Apc and you will be getting yourselves in trouble because they are not forcing you to participate in the elections in 2023.

I want Yoruba nation to stand alone and also field Tinubu for president 2023, the first to come will be a consolation while we wait for the other. The normal thing would have been to support each other but you are not doing anything to favor Yoruba, you are doing this for your masters. There is nothing wrong in eating two puff puff while waiting for jollof. But for you notjobs to all of a sudden want to use your fake Oduduwa republic to tie others hand, you will be met with resistance. Yoruba Apc is not in your way, get out of their way.

As events are unfolding secessionist movements are on the rise from all zones of the country, and it will only take a miracle to stop nationalist movement once they are born its over , it that time we start thinking on how to survive on our own without ever thinking of putting south south in our plans.I am one of the few that be lives alaigbo can do it alone 100% so below here I have listed put some good economic plans to help us survive..

1) Food

It is generally believed that ndigbo have little land and cannot guarantee food security If she becomes a nation what a myth.from my finding I discovered that ebonyi state alone produces 190,000 tons of rice ( 5million bag) in a single planting season ,my question is can alaigbo with a population of about 45 million consume 5 million bags of rice in 3 months? Impossible ! Intact it takes 5 thousand hectares to produced 50,000 with this stats its obvious alaigbo can produce enough to eat and even have excess for export if advanced agriculture is practiced.

2)industry exports
Have you ever visited Aba?did you know if we invest in science research and development we can can enhance the industrial productivity of Aba,Onitsha ,nnewi ,asaba, owerri, enugu ,we can start from the basics by producing shoes, textiles, ceramics, steel, electrical appliances, magarine. etc
We can produce these things in commercial Quantities and our brothers in other countries will help us sell it to the world and boost our forex.

The strategy for collective survival of the people cannot not be a subject of public display.

Retrogressive people like you in Imo state who apparently have never lived beyond Owerri zone, take pride in having Owerri as the only modern urban centre in Imo state. You get support from some political leaders in Orlu senatorial district. These political leaders from Orlu zone you get support from see one or two old politicians in Orlu urban LGA as enemies; therefore they foolishly see the whole Orlu urban LGA as enemy territory, deny modern development to Orlu, instead develop Owerri area.
