FamilyRe: How to solve this fraudulent act by Union Bank staff by DESAN(f): 5:01am On Oct 15, 2020
Kemmy210:
Good afternoon nairalanders,
A nairalander here, Glaciered sent 21k plus to me on Thursday through Western Union (when I requested for help).I was waiting for the money in my account when she told me about the transaction but later on Friday,I decided to check Google to know how Western Union works.
I read that i should go to the nearest agent, from the ones listed, Union Bank is the closest so I decided to go there on Monday morning because it was already late that Friday.
Note:My helper wants to remain anonymous, when I ask if they asked for sender's name, she said I should tell them to call her.
So when I got to the bank, Western Union section on Monday morning (yesterday),I was given a slip to fill, unfortunately, sender's name was even the first. I filled others, gave the guy the slip and explained that my sender want to remain anonymous, that they should call her.He looked at the slip like twice or thrice, then returned it to me that they can't pay without the sender's name.
I do track the money on their website which they always say that the money is ready for pickup.
Yesterday night/midnight,I decided to track the money,to my surprise,it has been received.
Definitely, the guy that attended to me in the bank has crammed the mtcn code ,then remove the money.I went to see the manager this morning, after explaining to her,she took me to the guy,he confirmed that he attended to me but didn't cram the number.
They all said I should tell the sender to call Western Union to know the POP(point of payment). Will that solve the issue, will that return the money.
Please is there anyone who can put me through on how to go about it?How can the status says the money is ready for pickup before going to the bank, and after that,it says the money has been received.
I need help to solve this issue please.

cc: Glaciered
Am sure the cashier sent the info to someone else to fake an ID so as to collect the money in another branch simple.

HealthPost Partum Depressed Lecture For Ladies by DESAN(op): 4:30am On May 20, 2020
I thought to share.

I'm sure we have seen the video making the rounds on social media.

There is so much that I would really hope to explain about this video as a mental health expert.

We say mental illness is anything that affects our thinking, feeling and behaviour.

FEELING: For this lady, the first thing you will notice is how flat her affect (facial expression) is.

This is what many of us would refer to as zero remorse, but that's not the case.

THINKING: . Her judgement is poor as we can see her association between having a child and being out of school.

You will also observe this play out when she talked about rather being in jail than being free on the outside.

That killing her baby still is the best decision she has taken..

BEHAVIOUR: Killing her baby.

I will do a complete lecture and awareness on Post Partum Depression this coming Saturday on our closed women only Facebook page (PEAK NETWORK WOMEN) alongside a psychiatrist.

Do join us if you are interested.

Thank you

Regards

Please invite as many as you think would benefit.

Thank you.

HealthRe: Applause For Nairaland Covid-19 Heroes by DESAN(f): 6:26pm On Apr 16, 2020
lynx200:
This period with the lock down over the Covid-19 virus has been very harsh on a lot of Nigerians and exposed the poverty inherent in the country. With many people dependent on daily wages, the lack of income and transactions has been a real struggle for so many households who are close to starvation. The much hyped relief efforts for the vulnerable in the different states hasn't helped matters as its organization have been questionable at best.

But amidst all these, some people have been contributing to ameliorating the sufferings of many vulnerable people. Here on nairaland, some members have taken it upon themselves to help contribute to their fellow members mainstay by giving out some money and resources. I want to use this thread to applaud them for their kindness and benevolence. This shows that there is hope for Nigeria in the midst of the challenges and gloom that pervades the country with these exemplary citizens who have chosen to be their brothers keeper.

I will like to give special shoutouts to Lelion, J111333, fukkthemod, frowland, seunsmg, topsquino, cococandy and Snowland for helping out with their contributions to some needy families. It might not have been able to go round a lot of people as resources are limited. But these contributions have made a lot of difference to the beneficiaries and their families no matter how small. Also worthy of mention is infofirst in the forex trade alerts thread who assisted some fellow traders with some token. Big ups to all of you as well as those who took out time with the distribution and giving out of this money including Ishilove, pocahontas and Beremx.

I also want to recognize nairalanders here who have organized relief efforts for the vulnerable in their communities. I don't have your names here. Please if anybody knows of such people, can we have their names here for special recognition of their efforts? May your kindness and goodness come back to you a 1000 fold. May you never know lack in your lives in Jesus name. May you soar higher in all your endeavors. Lastly I want to pray that we all as nairalanders as well as humanity as a whole are able to come out and rebound from this covid-19 situation in Jesus name.
please include mommy easter
