Truly we've never had, but I have seen who did, and the child lived up to 40years.

The family loved him so well, had other children, and has money.
The boy was also a brilliant chap. They managed the situation well.

Make peace with what is, while still believing in what could be.

You can have other healthy children while managing the present.
40 yrs without crises?
I have close relationship with people that are.
For every one that lived long,20 are dead already, countless others are suffering.
Lost a classmate and her elder brother to that so I know. The family put all to manage the elder brother and he did well. Trained his siblings and as he age more, more crises until he became penniless. Mum and dad are old. The married sister can do little. Her younger sis died, elder bros died. Tomorrow, yarn this story to people like her.

Will you marry one?
Will your company give work to one?

When you live and don't know how your tomorrow will look like. Being treated like an egg.
You miss out on things that make life worth living and enjoying.
The everyday drug.

And if it's the woman who made this mistake, the man is leaving her to remarry. Has happened countless times.

Don't take about what you don't know at all.

If it's the woman, you will abandon her and the child. Many men in this situation has abandoned the wife and married another.

And UK doctors are said to he poorly paid

I remember what OBI said that doctors and health workers are one of our great comparative advantages

We should be building more medical schools and exporting our doctors

I'm happy South East took this offer but we need at least 20 medical collages in each state of the South East to export 10,000 doctors yearly and 50,000 nurses
Medical college is not just studying art, social sciences in school. Even the most developed nations don't go about building medical colleges anyhow.
The way u usually churn out these your numbers should be worrisome.
Nigerian doctors and nurses who travel to UK and other developed countries to work are actually trained on the job as they know nothing. Absolutely nothing about medicine.

It still take uk more money to train them on the job.

What you wouldn't see anywhere is when you go to medical courts, Nigerian health workers top the chart for medical offences.

Nurse that came from Nigeria will tell you they learnt nothing in school. Drs will be behaving like first year medical students in action.
Tuah.

We talk too much.

Emotional eating is the worst. There's no real solution until you hate the condition you're in. For me the breaking point was when I looked down and I couldn't see my little friend! I absolutely hated my potbelly so that just made me lose my appetite.

I no longer buy any snacks, none at all! So I snack on fruits if I want sugar. I stopped buying mayonnaise and bread. These are just empty calories. Imagine
getting fat but you're malnutrition! That is madness.

I have another 10kg to go but I can fit back into my old clothes although they're a little tight. I think another helpful tip is don't shop for new clothes when you outgrow your current size.

Helps you feel the consequences of your actions. I had a whole wardrobe of clothes I couldn't wear so I went around wearing the 2 items that fit me. I felt like a bum but it worked.
Hmmmm. Thanks dear.

Yeah, I do emotional eating. I was so stressed out for like2yrs plus, that aside eating, it affected my health I had to go on medication.
I did cut off a lot and will cut off more. Wanna change my profession. It's like a taboo but that's my life.
I am not a bread fan. I may a like 3 slices in a year.
Don't do myo. When I want to eat, I can only eat a certain quantity of food and I do eat healthy. But you see night snacks. Heaven help me cheesy cheesy cheesy
I'm even a gym member and like 11 months I have not stepped in there grin

The things causing me stress are reducing drastically. I don't even take any holiday.

What have I done to myself, this woman grin

Thank you sweetie. You are too kind.

motymop:
but the salary is low in uk standard

the only country that pay doctors well is the US
Because healthcare is free.
Once that cap is removed, it will skyrocket like in America.

A colleague told me that doctors in uk in the 80, 90s were paid so well they you will see doctors in their late 40s paying off mortgage and retiring.
That was how they started importing doctors.
Parliament has to cut that down.

But junior doctors salary was increased days ago.

Remember, people to school in uk almost free.
To repay student finance in a month is very small.
25 yrs threshold to pay off student finance and the rest will be written off.
And while studying, there are some allowances you get free.

Haba, I hate these comparisons.
Makes no sense.
Politicians in uk jump the train like everybody.
The system will make you very comfortable and will encourage and help you to grow but it will not make you rich as uk is not a capitalist economy.

The only thing that is costly in uk is housing.
Nothing more.
Food stuff is extremely cheap.

Racoon:
Great take home there but the taxation and deductions in the UK is not beans.
There is something you guys that are not in uk will never get about uk taxation.
Taxation is very OK per monthly income.

If you work 36hrs per week and decides to do overtime 2 time in a week making it 8 overtime in a month, though you are paid 1.5 for overtime, you worked like5days free for tax man.

Your people think that by working almost everyday, they will make more money. Uk system don't encourage working everyday so they put up measures like this.
Even when they know it,they are still working. You will see a person who works officially 12 days in a month if it's 12 hours shift do 10 days or more overtime and when he is taxed, he will start crying.

You want to maximise your income, work less overtime. The tax is small. Actually small.
We live in the system.

And then again because you work so much and earn so much, your tax code will change once you start making up to 40k. So you continue to work more.
The first time I started work, my manager told me that after 2 or 3 overtime, any other one if for the tax man. And she said even after explaining to blacks, they will still continue coming to work. No rest. Aside from cold, foodstuffs in uk should be the cheapest in the whole world.

Ask Americans

And in uk, what you pay tax for, you receive. Nigerians are so ungrateful and greedy. When it doesn't go their way, they will start complaining.

Everyday, they come here to berate the 6th largest economy in the world.
Imagine comparing uk with Nigeria.
Yet after the rubbish talk, they are all o er uk embassies trying to cross over.

I've lost 15kg over six months by just reducing my caloric intake and moving around more. It took a few years to pile on the kgs so it will take a few years to reverse it. This fast food generation wants everything done yesterday.
Don't mind those people cheesy

But, you did great. 15kg. That's a lot. Well done sweetie. Do encourage me please. My problem is snacks and change of eating habits since I started night duty.

And when I'm stressed, I eat more snacks.
Remembered when I was growing up, if I'm angry, I will lose my appetite for the whole day. Now if I am upset, I just look for something and put in my mouth grin

Cosmetic surgery gone wrong. Sepsis probably.

Might be this. I don't know.

Most of these people that fly to all these countries for cosmetic surgery have problems more than we can imagine and this is what kills most of them.

I remember one nhs nurse saying that they wil travel,do surgery and come back with serious complications and that's when they will remember nhs. The nurse was advocating that they should start paying if there is complications and trust me, so many.
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by descarado: 1:57am On May 15, 2025
That’s when everything changed.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with the president, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took the mic and pulled back the curtain on one of the most corrupt open secrets in Washington.

This was a complete and utter indictment of the corruption in Washington.

“This is an extraordinary day,” Kennedy began.

“This is an issue that, you know, I grew up in the Democratic Party, and every major Democratic leader for 20 years has been making this promise to the American people.”

He pointed directly to Bernie Sanders—the man who made drug pricing the centerpiece of his presidential runs.

“This was the fulcrum of Bernie Sanders runs for presidency, that he was going to eliminate this discrepancy between Europe and the United States.”

But Kennedy revealed the truth: none of them ever meant to fix it.

“As it turns out, none of them were doing it. And it’s one of these promises that politicians make to their constituents, knowing that they’ll never have to do it.”

Why? Because the game is rigged.

“There’s at least one pharmaceutical lobbyist for every congressman, every Senator on Capitol Hill, and every member of the Supreme Court.”

Then came the line that shocked the room.

“There has never been a president more willing to stand up to the oligarchs than President Donald Trump,” Kennedy said.

“And I’m very, very proud of you, Mr. President, for your courage, for I’ll say it because I don’t want to be crude, your intestinal fortitude, your stiff spine and your willingness to stand up for the American people.”

In one sentence, RFK Jr. dismantled the bipartisan lie—and gave Trump the credit no other Democrat would dare say out loud.

After petrodollar, it's pharmadollar.
