When I was still in corporate Nigeria, my bosses were my "Next of Kin" and not my wife or children. I had to explain that to my wife when she saw who I used as "next of kin" in a document. She questioned why it was not her or any of our children.

Currently, my next of kin is one of my rich neighbors that we greet and do jogging together. I trust he is someone that if called on any emergency concerning me, he would act immediately. Next of kin should be someone that has the means, both financial and the capacity to act on your behalf, in case of emergency for you. Do not use a lame duck as your next of kin.

But for inheritance purposes, where your assets, savings or investments have to be given to next of kin, you can use your family member - wife, children or parents. My point is in case of any emergency, always indicate a capable person as next of kin. If I travel and had to fill form in a hotel, i use my capable friend as next of kin.

In the corporate world, when you die,whatever the company will pay goes to the next of kin. Listen carefully. As long as you have a wife and a child, if you like use God as your next of kin. The company will contact your wife and there goes your money. That is the rule and lawregarding next of kin in corporate world as far as Nigeria is concerned.

Companies, ministries,name them have been take to court over this and the wife always win 100%.
Even if you use your sons names, it still goes to the wife.

When I was doing my service, I worked in a department where people continually make this mistake. You have problem with your wife and she is an ex,as long as you have a kid, if you like put your papa or mama name or even your son.
As long as she is living with that son and taking care if the son. Your family and friends don't have a case. If the organisatio dare gi e the money away,the wife takes that organisation to court and on the first sitting, the wife wins. Do anything you like with this. The same with property when you die.
Igbo brothers take note. Your late brothers property doesn't belong to your family if he has wife and kid.

The only shortfall is that it does not brush properly nor make the smell go away but yes, it's very good.

If you will use fluoride toothpaste, that should be imported. All Nigerian fluoride toothpaste uses saccharine. Close up is the worst of it all.
It was a big rokus during uni days. As a guy approaches a babe, babe will tell you to use good toothpaste first before you talk to her. Cos close up is very cheap, guys use that more. It erodes their gum. In some, the gum area look coloured like greenish. And guys will be like, I brush twice a day, what causes this. And cos it's saccharine loaded, it react with the bacteria in the mouth to make the mouth smell horrible. My pastor then had to do full sermon on toothpaste one midweek service.
Use chewing stick instead of closeup.

There is sensodyne, aquafresh, even colgate. As long as its not close up family. It destroyed a lot of people's enamels and gums. Change toothbrush regularly. Once in a while visit the dentist to clean your teeth. It's very cheap.

Depending on the strength of your gum, you can go for normal or sensitive ones amongst these ones.

Even when in Nigeria, close up is a no no.
Most people who use that has plaque. We ran a stat then in uni. All the people who has dental plaques uses close up. I will rather use chewing stick than that thing. That's the worst toothpaste ever followed by pepsodent.
They will just ruin your teeth and gum.
Colgate is just brand name.
Also the brush you use take like 50% of the glory.
Don't expect magic when you don't use the right brush.


I will take aquafresh anytime any day. Have been using aquafresh for more than 15yrs. Tried others and went back to it. Aside that, I can use sensodyne for teeth sensitivity. It's so good.
