You're solely concerned about Messi and Ronaldo because that screenshot contains about 10 players but you see only two.

It's not about the games. Messi was ahead of Ronaldo in goals scored until 2015 when Ronaldo surpassed him, so it's definitely not about the games.

It's not even about just Messi. It's about all great players in different departments to have played the Champions League.

If all he knows is shooting, and that explains that he has been topping the all-time goals for about 7 years now; does his knowledge of only shooting also explain that he has been topping the all-time assists for about 4 years now?

The thing about pushing emotion-based arguments over logic; when faced with hard facts, they collapse like a pack of cards.
