Whatever the opinion is, it is their ordeal in a law court that counts, not these casual utterances thrown here and there. It was mentioned that the judges complaints are cheap blackmails to enact public sympathy. Now, is this not also an attempt to enact public sympathy for Amaechi? Whatever the case may be, what I know is that they have enough dirt on every politicians to ensure they stay in power, so I'm just watching to see how meekly this will play out. Any corruption fight short of mass revolution by the citizenry is a sham. #EOD |

Being an investigative arm with enviable powers, there is no reason why they shouldn't be hitting pay dirt with every investigation. But they have been bungling case after case, some eventually drying out due to lact of factual irrefutable evidence. They eventually go for 'out-of-court' settlements or nothing at all. Boring talk. All Nigerian politicians are corrupt because it's a corrupt system that works out here. Sometimes we need pure actions to show our change of intent, not wailing 24/7. Like EFCC grinding out a watertight case to earn a deserved conviction.. Like Jonathan admitting his flaws and submitting to the law.. Like Buhari accepting that he never should be there in the first place and resigb into obscurity where he belongs. All that's never gonna happen. Revolution is the only way. |

I already made it clear to those spearheading the calls for unity; I know Yorubas first hand; how they behave, politics or not. It is inborn in them to suddenly backtrack and deny previous engagements or utterances to please whomever they intend to. Pretending that I never understand their language opened my eyes to a lot of their misgivings, a lot of which are also manifested in the Nigerian political scene. It's ignorant, of course, to claim that every Yoruba is the same as some really stand out in their endeavours and character. But an average Yoruba man is never a good ally, particularly with the igbos. One thing I can't stand is the inherent envy. They're quite devious. In my opinion, the lady messed up, granting that interview. It's a private matter she blew up that way and I wonder how she could share a bedroom with him after such. That is if she shares a bedroom with him before that. She should have persevered. That's what women are famed for right? Perseverance. But this is betrayal. As for the man, he couldn't keep his home intact. He definitely was ignoring his wife's opinion and led her to the media with his aloofness. Worse still, he cracked a joke (maybe) in bad taste undermining womanhood in front of the most powerful woman in the world. That shows a person prone to making really sick choices.
