Whatever the opinion is, it is their ordeal in a law court that counts, not these casual utterances thrown here and there.

It was mentioned that the judges complaints are cheap blackmails to enact public sympathy. Now, is this not also an attempt to enact public sympathy for Amaechi?

Whatever the case may be, what I know is that they have enough dirt on every politicians to ensure they stay in power, so I'm just watching to see how meekly this will play out.

Any corruption fight short of mass revolution by the citizenry is a sham. #EOD

That is the only way to ensure that it doesn't become victimization. Anyone can become the hunted.

Being an investigative arm with enviable powers, there is no reason why they shouldn't be hitting pay dirt with every investigation.

But they have been bungling case after case, some eventually drying out due to lact of factual irrefutable evidence. They eventually go for 'out-of-court' settlements or nothing at all.

Sometimes ot takes 20 - 50 years to build on a case. But you know Nigerian system of governance; Every new person wants to start afresh.

All Nigerian politicians are corrupt because it's a corrupt system that works out here.
Sometimes we need pure actions to show our change of intent, not wailing 24/7.
Like EFCC grinding out a watertight case to earn a deserved conviction.. Like Jonathan admitting his flaws and submitting to the law.. Like Buhari accepting that he never should be there in the first place and resigb into obscurity where he belongs.
All that's never gonna happen. Revolution is the only way.

I already made it clear to those spearheading the calls for unity; I know Yorubas first hand; how they behave, politics or not. It is inborn in them to suddenly backtrack and deny previous engagements or utterances to please whomever they intend to. Pretending that I never understand their language opened my eyes to a lot of their misgivings, a lot of which are also manifested in the Nigerian political scene.

It's ignorant, of course, to claim that every Yoruba is the same as some really stand out in their endeavours and character. But an average Yoruba man is never a good ally, particularly with the igbos. One thing I can't stand is the inherent envy. They're quite devious. A case of 'onye gi na ya kwuru achu mmuo si na ahu gi n'eshi mmuo mmuo'.

My Samsung S3 used to heat up that way too. But it's not the camera area. Close to the USB area instead.

In my opinion, the lady messed up, granting that interview. It's a private matter she blew up that way and I wonder how she could share a bedroom with him after such. That is if she shares a bedroom with him before that. She should have persevered. That's what women are famed for right? Perseverance. But this is betrayal.

As for the man, he couldn't keep his home intact. He definitely was ignoring his wife's opinion and led her to the media with his aloofness. Worse still, he cracked a joke (maybe) in bad taste undermining womanhood in front of the most powerful woman in the world. That shows a person prone to making really sick choices. His age should have taught him better.

I and my colleagues never could convince the corpers that came to replace us then to embrace selfless service for the good of the host community. Their preference of seeking the better life led to the collapse of the projects we started from the scratch there. So, I wasn't in the habit of comparing myself to what others were earning wherever they were. I just offered the best of my service, bore the hardships, appreciated the good and went off in search of a better life at the end.

My point is if a graduate is placed at level 8 and entitled to 66k, why can't a copper be paid more than the half of 66k (33,000)??

Well, people have different motivations. The NYSC isn't a money making venture. I saw it as an avenue to make a difference and I utilized it well. My primary concern wasn't the pay else, I'ld have just asked my L.I. to take the money while I'm busy doing stuffs elsewhere.

My advantage then was that I invested much in the community and they took care of my needs. I was able to send money home monthly and left service with about 60k cash despite the fact that the state government didn't pay us their own part. So, why not give to your host community and let them bless you good.

After all, some corps members were paid #7,500 and they didn't die off.
